The best restaurants in Dublin

21/07/2025: We dined here as a work group a couple of years ago and had a fantastic experience, the food was excellent and the service smooth and efficient, with no issues at all. Returning recently with a group of eight, we were initially pleased. The cocktails were great, and we had no complaints there. However, things took a turn when it came time to order food. We were informed that because our table was booked for eight people, we were required to order eight set menus one per person — regardless of individual dietary restrictions or appetites. When we asked if we could order just seven set menus (to avoid excessive waste), we were told that wasn't possible. Alternatively, anyone opting out of the set menu would have to order a full three-course meal from the main menu. We were left confused and frustrated by the rigid and inflexible ordering policy. To add to the disappointment, when the food arrived, it was clear that the quality had declined significantly since our previous visit. This place may still be a good choice for cocktails and a lively atmosphere (loud music) but if you're looking for great Mexican food and a customer-friendly dining experience, I wouldn’t recommend it.

29/06/2025: We chose elephant&Castle for our second lunch in Dublin. If you are looking for an Irish meal like me, this restaurant is not good since they don't offer many Irish dishes. We ordered fish and chips and a plate of baby black ribs. Both dishes were pretty big plates. Although the ribs are is in starters but it was as big as a main plate. The ribs were so soft but with too much sauce. I didn't like it because I couldn't have dessert since the ribs were sweet enough, and I barely could notice the taste of the ribs. The fish and chips were good but it wasn't the best kind either. The atmosphere was so noisy and you can barely hear others sitting at your table. So we didn't enjoy sitting there and enjoying our meals.

22/07/2025: What a kip. Went here for afters of a funeral. Atrocious service slow and incompetent staff, food and coffee was absolutely freezing, several people complained but the attitude of staff was take it or lump it. Would never recommend this place its an absolute kip

11/07/2025: We have been customers of the H&G branch in the Swan Centre Rathmines since it opened. In fact it is why we chose to do our supermarket shopping there. It was with dismay that we saw last night workmen dismantling the cafe. Your product was very good, coffee, pastries and apple tarts too. The staff were very helpful and pleasant, particularly the French lady. What happened to cause this closure??

29/06/2025: Very nice service, delicious food, surprisingly large portions, fresh salads. Chicken cutlet is actually 3 cutlets, potatoes with a distinctly noticeable butter, pancakes heaven in your mouth. I only missed warm tea or coffee. Very tasty cuisine, very. Edit: today I tried the pork chop, I couldn't eat it all (huge!). In Poland it's hard to find such a good cutlet, if you can at all... Everything 5 stars ❤️

11/06/2025: I had ordered around 25 plates of food for an office event and they were a hit at the workplace. Sylwia took our order at very short notice and had the order ready exactly on time. Everything from the schnitzel, periogi and the potatoes (some even said they were the best spuds they had tasted) were really good. Will definitely order and visit again. Highly recommend

21/07/2025: Warm bottles of bulmers on a scorching hot Saturday. 3 in a row. Yet whan I asked to change I'd get an ice cold one?? What's that about??? Hard to grab staff attention. Table not set up when food arrived. Food was good and beer garden was in great condition. Product is OK Delivery is lackluster.

12/07/2025: went here today with my mother, sister, brother and my wife . myself and my wife ordered the spicy crispy chicken with chips and chilli's . Totally inedible , mountains of salt all over it , all you could taste was salt on top of salt. I brought this to the server's attention, but when the bill came Brady's still decided to charge € 40 for the 2 absolute muck salt dishes. Needless to say won't be going back to that place. ( btw , it wasn't on the menu as a salt & chilli dish , but that's what was served only it had probably 7 times the correct amount of salt , hideous. )
