17/08/2026: We are regular here since the food are cheaper compared to other japanese resto and the kids love their ramen. However, we need to endure bad service most of the time and rude waitress which ruins our day/occassion. They need to train their servers to be respectful and cheerful given that they are in service industry. It's safe to say that we are not coming back anytime soon or never at all.

18/08/2026: Used to love Insomnia Howth road, the two Chinese girls always so friendly, a lovely quiet place to unwind, go on the laptop, read a paper in peace, visited today first time since renovations and not impressed at all, the new interior and lighting is too modern, harsh, non relaxing,total lack of seating now and so noisy, new staff not as friendly.i could not wait to get out tbh.gutted my place of tranquility destroyed.

20/08/2026: Very disappointed with Tazza. I will come back again for sure as they could have had a bad night. Place and team are lovely. Ordered a half tandoori chicken. I love this dish. It is great to see chicken on the bone increasingly in Ireland. When I lived in Mumbai I was a regular in a spot called Jai Jawan. This is where I fell in love with the dish. At €23 this dish does not scream value. The chicken arrived looking anaemic on the plate and tasted no different. The only flavour was the sweet sauce decoration. It was accompanied by a bowl of what I think was meant to be butter chicken gravy. This was as thin and tepid as a bad cup of tea. The only flavour I could discern was remaining flour which was not cooked out. Truly appalling dish. Note to owner. Try this dish. It is a real crowd pleaser but like all such dishes when served so poorly it is stand out bad. Waitress was really nice so I settled up and left. I will try this place again. I have heard good things. Tonight was terrible.

27/06/2026: We booked the Maldron Hotel Smithfield for one night (B&B) while attending a concert in Dublin. At €250 for one night, plus an additional €25 for parking (discounted from the standard €50 for hotel guests), it certainly wasn't cheap. While I appreciate that hotel prices in Dublin are generally high, I was happy to pay it as I expected a good standard from a four-star Maldron hotel. The location is excellent, with convenient on-site parking and easy access to the city. We also appreciated being allowed to check in slightly before the official 3pm check-in time. Unfortunately, that was where the positives largely ended. After a three-hour journey, we arrived slightly early and wanted to use the toilet before checking in, only to find that even the reception toilets required a room key to access. Luckily, we were allowed to check in early, but the welcome itself was disappointing. The receptionist barely acknowledged us, seemed much more interested in chatting to a colleague, and generally gave the impression that she didn't want to be there. It wasn't the warm welcome you'd expect from a four-star hotel. At first glance the room looked clean, but once we settled in it became obvious that housekeeping had overlooked several things. There was a noticeable build-up of dust on furniture and fixtures, mould around the window frames, and peeling finishes on the window surrounds. I've attached photos to show some of these issues. The room itself was also very basic for the price we paid and didn't feel like a four-star hotel. Another surprise was that there was no air conditioning. We happened to stay during Ireland's June heatwave, so the room became very warm and uncomfortable. While the weather obviously isn't the hotel's fault, I would expect air conditioning as standard in a four-star hotel charging €250 per night. To top it off, after walking around the room in white socks for around an hour while getting ready for the concert, my socks were filthy, suggesting that the floors hadn't been cleaned properly. The one positive about the room was that it was quiet and dark, allowing us to get a good night's sleep after the concert. Breakfast the following morning was another major disappointment. Despite arriving with around 40 minutes of service remaining, many items had already run out and weren't being replenished. The selection itself was incredibly basic for a hotel of this standard. The two staff members working in the breakfast area appeared disorganised and seemed more focused on wandering around than checking or restocking the buffet. Overall, it felt poorly managed and certainly wasn't the quality I'd expect from a four-star hotel. When checking out, we were greeted by the same receptionist who had checked us in. She appeared just as disengaged as the previous day. She asked how our stay had been, and when my husband replied that it was "just fine" before adding that breakfast had been very disappointing, she made no eye contact, offered no apology, acknowledged none of the feedback, and simply asked if we wanted to leave our bags. It was a very poor way to end our stay. For me, the biggest issue with this hotel is the customer service. I appreciate that working in hospitality isn't always easy, but guests paying premium prices should still expect staff who are welcoming, attentive and interested in guest feedback. Throughout our stay, we simply didn't feel valued as customers. Overall, aside from the convenient location, parking and quiet room, this hotel fell well below my expectations of a four-star property. Between the indifferent service, lack of cleanliness, absence of air conditioning, and disappointing breakfast, I don't feel the experience justified the price we paid. Unfortunately, I wouldn't stay here again, and it has made me think twice about booking another Maldron hotel in the future, which is a real shame.

26/06/2026: Every staff member we came in contact with was very courteous and professional. Very conveniently located, within walking distance of several sites. The room is NOT air conditioned, though advertised as such, but not by their fault, booking agent error I believe. The room was clean with coffee/tea, station. No refrigerator to keep drinks cold, water bottles supplied, but not cold. Restaurant food was delicious. Bathroom had no hair dryer outlet, or exhaust fan. Free wifi a steady plus.

21/11/2025: Recently I ordered a salad, and it was incredibly disappointing. The chicken was so hard I couldn’t even bite it, and most of the box was just onions. There were only a few tomatoes and one very little of lettuce. That’s it. And they charged €6.50 for the box. There was basically nothing to eat it was really bad.

03/11/2025: My go to whenever I'm back in Dublin. Staff are always so friendly, real Dubs a heart of the community. I'm a scaldy Corkonian and introduced people in the area I stay with to go there for our cures when I visit after living around the corner. Always meet the standards of what you want with attention to detail, great value and service.

19/08/2026: Been going here for years and absolutely love it, especially the brownie and red velvet cupcakes! Miss when they used to do monthly specials and update them on their insta though.

10/06/2026: The Bakery is a nice place in the neighborhood. I had a loaf of bread, two cakes, and a dirty chai latte to drink. I forgot the names of the cakes, but they were both really good. The staff were amazing — young, friendly, and welcoming. The place itself is lovely, very colorful, and full of good things to choose from. The dirty chai latte tasted great. What I really loved was that they made it with a tea bag, and they asked me if I wanted a single or double shot of espresso. They also added cinnamon, which is something not everyone does. I loved it. The chai was creamy, flavorful, and well balanced. The bread was also very good — soft, big, fairly priced, and great quality. Both cakes were tasty, sweet but not too sweet, and you could feel that they were made with love. It was a really nice experience, and I am happy I found this place. Give them a try. They are amazing

26/08/2026: Victor - the manager of the Baggot St store is a credit to Sprout and Co and such friendly and personable manager! I had an issue with my order where I ordered on a Kiosk and the order unfortunately didn’t go through on the tills for them to make my bowl. After waiting about 10 minutes Victor approached me and asked if I ordered. He quickly resolved my issue and jot the bowl made for me there and then. Not only that, he ensured the next time I was there, I recieved a free bowl for what happened. Exceptional customer service and he really went above and beyond for me! These are the kind of moments that could ruin your opinion of a business, but instead, I have an even greater opinion of the business.

05/09/2026: This pub has a captive audience… which is why they are dialing it in on standards. After pints of watery Guinness, I switched to Smithwicks. It was flat. Worse, they insist on charging for food before it is served. We waited for 75 minutes for four fish and chips… yet they served a cold plate of smoked salmon 10 minutes before the rest of the party. There are better places…

05/09/2026: We were there for dinner and drinks. Lovely pub with quite an Irish feel. Has many nooks and crannies and live music on the evening. You have to order at the bar and they bring the food to you. It was good/okay, but definitely cannot reach Irish countryside pub food level. The gravy was lacking love :(

11/09/2026: It's a Spanish tapas bar. You can try different tapas. We ordered a variety of dishes. They were all delicious! I recommend the acorn-fed Iberian ham, the croquettes, and the garlic shrimp. We had a Tempranillo wine, which was very tasty. The service was excellent. The only downsides were that the tortilla wasn't cooked until runny and didn't have onions (even though the menu said it did), and the place is quite noisy. We had to shout to talk to each other. Everything else was excellent.

10/09/2026: So glad we found this restaurant. It was our first night in Dublin. Delicious food. Good selection for a vegetarian too. Friendly welcoming staff. Lovely setting. Loved the fairy lights. Really liked the tick box menus. Recommended & we’ll come back if we’re ever in Dublin again. Thank you

02/08/2026: A very rude guy trying to make us go away because we didn't know how to drink proper coffee. Very bad attitude. Not much space to sit and enjoy, some really uncomfortable seating. The supposedly award winning coffee was just ok. Man if you don't like customers you're probably in the wrong business.

13/07/2026: Amazing service from the entire staff! We came here as it was one of the top recommendations for specialty coffee, and it did not disappoint. Normally not a coffee person but the cappuccino was absolutely delicious. I will say, though, the pour over is probably one of the most expensive out of all the places we’ve been to, but I guess the level of attention to detail makes up for it. Furthermore, staff were extremely friendly and chatty; they gave us a ton of food recommendations for our trip to Dublin! Thank you for the wonderful service!
