04/10/2026: Yes, its a bit of an institution, but the ice cream isn't actually that nice. I've had far richer and creamer ice cream in motor way petrol stations. And the flake is tiny.

Run by the brilliant Alan O’Reilly whose restaurants have always been so impressive over the last few decades.
Highly recommended.
(note that nowadays they only seem to be open on Friday and Saturday evenings.)

17/07/2026: We were staying at the Hyatt Centric and though we didn’t have breakfast included in our room rate we ended up paying (a very reasonable price) to eat breakfast here every day because we enjoyed it so much. The food is fantastic but the service is unbelievable. Lisa and her team are all incredibly friendly and attentive and go above and beyond for everyone (they remembered my order after being gone for a week on roadtrip around Ireland). We already miss our friends here!
