It's not what it was anymore. They've wised up and are now basically a McDonald's for Greek food. The menus are much smaller. Very mediocre.

08/04/2025: This one fitted the bill for an early dinner before meeting friends in a wet only pub. I was impressed by the 51st State and the seat was comfortable.

The only thing I don't appreciate is they increase the price of beers later in the night. Real sneaky like. Fairly scummy practice but amazing food, and a very comfortable, safe, and friendly pub. Went here all throughout college.

Very handy for NYX Hotel
06/01/2025: Located in the heart of Portobello, this brunch restaurant boasts a lovely and cosy atmosphere with beautiful decorum and honestly stunning water decanters. The service is super friendly and chill, adding to the relaxed vibe.
However, the food is only okay. The pancakes are decent but not outstanding, the vegetarian breakfast - while quite tasty - leaned a bit too much on fried items, and the eggs Benedict were overall disappointing. I very much liked the smoothie bowl, though!
I'll say that some of this might be circumstantial to the day we went, but I wasn't overly impressed.
It is still a nice spot to grab a cup of coffee, especially when the sun is out and you can sit on the patio!

29/03/2025: We found Zuko's Bakery at the RDS Wedding Showcase and we knew right then that they were who we wanted for our wedding. Our wedding was in April 2024 and Holly was fantastic. The effort and time she put into our cake was second to none. We wanted a Harry Potter theme cake that also incorporated some of our other loves, such as music. She had the lyrics from our first dance on the top tier. The cake was incredible, we didn't want to cut it!! It tasted incredible, we went for vanilla, lemon drizzle and chocolate biscuit cake, and wow is all I can say!
10/02/2025: We had our wedding cake made by Zuko’s and it was one of the best cakes we ever had. We chose the Lemon Meringue and New York Blueberry Cheesecake flavors and went with a wildflower design. We were dealing with Holly throughout the process, and she was a delight to deal with. She initially created 3 different designs for us to choose from, and it was amazing to see her drawings come to life in a cake. The sponge was nice and light, and the flavors were delicious. All our guests were raving about the cake. We would highly recommend Zuko’s for a wedding or even just a small treat of cupcakes. Excellent service and flavors.

27/01/2025: Italian excellence with an Irish heart. Staff of exceptional courtesy and helpfulness and spectacular breakfasts, such as a traditional Irish breakfast served with a delicious Mediterranean focaccia and Tropea onion compote. All in a familiar and welcoming environment.
12/01/2025: Got a sandwich here earlier- chicken pesto on focaccia and it was delicious, hefty and at less than €9 really great value for money. I’ll be back.

17/03/2025: I'm grateful to have eaten here but, the crepe White Ferrari was really sad, if I hadn't seen the guy putting the white chocolate sauce, I would have said that there was none inside, a few strawberry pieces too. The dough was missing flavour. Maybe they didn’t put the vanilla flavouring this time.
Should have gone to Scoop, few meters ahead and have better portions. At the end it is another franchise which lost the essence 😢
For me, it wasn't worth the price, 26e for 2 crepes with an ice cream ball each and a Latte 🔪🔪

Left a very sentiment item in my room, got in contact and they have it and after paying 30€ to them to ship it back to scotland they are ignoring my emails and when i phone them they're saying they'll phone back and never do. genuinely terrible customer service and have took my 30€, don't recommend at all

11/04/2025: Newly upgraded into a plush oasis of calm on busy Dawson Street, the improved menu will bring you back again and again. Service from Antonio is always top notch and it's a total pleasure! The arancini and prawn starters are outstanding
