The best restaurants in Dublin

16/04/2025: There was a table available at walk-in during the weekend morning. The prices are OK. Food was good while presentation could do with some work. The staff were friendly but felt like they were somehow understaffed, it took a while to give our order. Staff never went around the floor to see if anyone wanted to order anything else but perhaps that's not their setup. The cafe has a lovely interior and some al fresco seating (though it is road-facing). Smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and the avocado toast were both good.

15/04/2025: This place has a lovely atmosphere and great service. The three of us came in for scones and cappuccinos. The scones were tasty and the cappuccinos beautifully presented. I'm a guy and yet found the decor tasteful and engaging.

24/03/2025: Wonderful service and beautiful store with a great selection of tea and coffee beans! Definitely a go-to when you want something more unique and flavorful than the typical store bought stuff and/or you’ve particular interests. Their freshly made coffee is also delicious.

02/03/2025: This is such a cosy spot. They have flavoured coffee beans and it is delicious. We bought a few bags to bring home and they gave us a free cappuccino to drink there or takeaway which was so generous. The upstairs seating is fab, great views and just a cosy atmosphere. Its not easy to find a place like this in town these days. Will definitely be back. Thank you so much

12/04/2025: I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant, but unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. We ordered a set menu that included a starter and a burger as the main dish. When the burger arrived, we noticed the bun had visible mold on it. We informed the staff, and while they removed the set menu from the bill, they still charged us for the starter—even though we couldn’t enjoy the main course. Serving food in that condition is unacceptable, not only in terms of quality but also health and safety. On top of that, there was no real effort to make things right. I won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

19/02/2025: Mi mamá y yo cenamos increíblemente esta noche por el aniversario de mi papá - gambas de laurel de Dublín y vieiras en mantequilla de ajo - cocinadas por un chef increíble Don que ha estado allí desde que se abrió el LP en 1981 y servido por la joya que es Michael Gartland! Michael tiene 81 años y no quiere retirarse! ¡Verdaderamente inspirador! ¡Asegúrate de preguntarle sobre todas sus historias del Savoy de los 60! 🤩

18/02/2025: La comida, el ambiente y el servicio era excelente, disfrutamos de la noche y esperamos volver en breve. El camarero principal, Michael hizo la experiencia y la noche más agradable.

05/03/2025: Genuinely the worst meal I had in Ireland. “Traditional Irish Stew” was like water and the lamb was clearly cooked simply in the boiling water. Waited 40 minutes for the “stew” on a Wednesday night, I could not discourage someone from dining here more.

23/02/2025: Our first food stop whilst here in Dublin, based on recommendations from locals, and it did not disappoint! It has a friendly atmosphere and the food we had tasted grand! We enjoyed it here so much that we came back here to eat on our last day in Dublin too. It’s a must visit when in Dublin - definitely try the Traditional Irish Stew!

13/11/2024: A cozy, unpretentious spot for a warm drink and sandwich. The cappuccino is fantastic ☕️, and the vibe is refreshingly down-to-earth 🌿. Perfect for a relaxed coffee break! ✨

03/04/2025: One of the SuperValue chain of supermarkets with a wide range of popular products and their own franchise under under the Toomey brand name. A range of ready to cook meals in aluminium trays that offer a discount if you purchase two (mix & match). Sadly a lot of items have increased significantly in price including aforementioned. A good wine store always with fair discount on good wines. Ample parking but difficult to get back to the main road when finished shopping.

12/04/2025: Recently visited the beer garden and ordered off the menu given to us. We were overcharged by €5 on our order. We brought this to the attention of the staff and the bald manager mansplained how they gave us their old menu. We waited over an hour for our refund and had to go to the till on our way out. Bald manager also very rude to the very kind and efficient staff members. Management have a lot to answer for another female manager kept looking up and down at us and her team and refused to take orders herself.

11/04/2025: Very disappointing experience . Food was lovely but service was horrendous. Several large bookings and we were a table of two and we were basically forgotten and had to ask for everything. Some music would also be good.

08/02/2025: Llegó rápido. Conveniente cuando tienes adolescentes hambrientos. Cuando cedo a esto nunca siento que fue genial, y esta vez pagué 5€ por una porción de patatas fritas. ¡Una pequeña cantidad de chips que casi cubrían la base de la caja pequeña!

16/02/2025: Dopo una prima esperienza alcuni anni fa sono tornato in questo ristorante. Ottimo il vino a disposizione (nonostante i prezzi mi sono sembrati parecchio levitati). L'attesa per il cibo è stata un po' lunga e non sono rimasto impressionato dalla bistecca. Speravo meglio.

10/01/2025: Una visita obligada de Navidad. He venido aquí con varios grupos antes de Navidad cada año y cada vez que nunca me decepciona. El restaurante está lleno de gente y es festivo y tiene un gran ambiente. Tiene buena comida y una fantástica selección de bebidas! El personal es amable y todo el lugar tiene un gran ambiente! He cenado aquí en varias épocas del año y ellos también han sido geniales! Un gran activo en el centro de Dublín!

07/04/2025: To say that the staff are amazing is an understatement..after a journey from mayo having no cash for a taxi and misjudging the journey to stillorgan 🙈 ordered a latte by card. DIARMUID one of the staff helped me out, not only by using his app to get me a taxi and as good as paid in full for me was just so kind. I was so appreciative and could not believe how much he went out of his way to help me. A real gentleman and a truly wonderful young man. Thank you a million times Diarmuid you really got me out of a hole..Hope it comes back tenfold to you. Thank you sp much. Maria

06/04/2025: I received 3 pizzas. Gluten Free was cold and the two boxes of chips were also cold For the money we are paying.....

15/02/2025: Every time we order, they go to the wrong address, and it's always considerably worse than the pizza from Dominos Dundrum and the one in Stepaside. Nobody is ever anything close to resembling friendly. Missed a call to say the pizza was outside, but was in the front room with the blinds up, and never saw a car pull up. Rang to ask when the pizza was coming, and the member of staff was rude and short. They said it would be 20 minutes, and that was fine. Got a call to say the pizza was outside, and before I could say anything, he had already hung up. I had to ring back to tell them that it wasn't outside at all. Turns out they had gone to the wrong address twice. By the time it came, it was cold, and burnt. This seems normal from booterstown dominos.

07/04/2025: Friendly staff gave my daughter nice lippop and their shredded chicken has a lovely coating rice is lovely and fresh too

25/02/2025: Got here at 23:50, drove into drive through and an employee ran away from the window after seeing me, I’m then left there, I knock on the window a few times until someone comes up and says they’re closing and that they have nothing left. I have never in my life seen this place without a single donut, they’re literally made in there. Horrible lazy staff. Put a couple donuts in a box ffs.

21/02/2025: Very poorly managed. Always understaffed, one staff member left doing both drive thru and in store orders, and in store quite dirty as a result. Are card only but no signs to reflect this.
