The best restaurants in Dublin

27/11/2025: Kennedy's is a hugely popular cafe and kiosk on our TU Dublin Grangegorman campus. The coffee is great, the sandwiches, scones, sausage rolls, cookies and muffins are absolutely delicious. The kiosk offers fries with toppings a good price which is so important for our students with cost of living off the scale. Kennedy's support student events and offer support for important campaigns too and staff always friendly and helpful. So glad they are on our campus!!

16/08/2025: Sadly, I have to add to the bad reviews as there must have been a change of ownership at Daddy's? Or maybe it's lack of basic staff training? Ordered two sit in americanos only to get two watery drinks in take away cups, with badly pulled shots and plenty of coffee grounds in the bottom. I used to work in speciality coffee, so can spot a carelessly made coffee from miles away. The staff were pretty unwelcoming also. I won't be back!

14/07/2025: Sorry to say I have to add to the bad reviews as of late. Daddy’s used to be known for its phenomenal food and in theory the dishes are amazing. However the standard is extremely low now especially for the price you pay. On the last occasion I visited I was heavily pregnant. I got the full fry, and everything on it except the toast was disastrous. The sausage was pale, the pudding was undercooked and lukewarm and flavour was on the turn, mushroom was soggy, egg undercooked, and the bacon was hard. I would be embarrassed as kitchen staff to send that out. As for the service, we were waiting ages to be seated, ages for order to be taken, ages for food to arrive and no follow up for us to order more coffee etc. The place was dead so no excuse and plenty of staff on the floor. I used to work in the food industry and know that bad reviews can be terrible for a place but given the previous high standard I just hope owners will make some changes to get it back to what it was. As for now I won’t be back and it genuinely makes me sad! 2 stars given for the creative menu but otherwise, 1 star from me

17/07/2025: Not gonna lie I don’t eventually want to write this review. We waited 50 minutes for them to bring me the wrong order, I ordered chicken roll with sweet chilli, corn and lettuce but they gave me bread and chicken, there was some kind of seasoning in the chicken and it was cold. Had to vomit in the bathroom for 15 minutes afterwards. For €20 each this is ridiculous!

14/07/2025: AVOID. AWFUL OVERPRICED FOOD AND TERRIBLE SERVICE . Ordered vegetarian breakfast burrito. It was cooked in same pan as bacon. When I queried this it was denied by staff member. Fortunately I could see food being cooked from my table only a few feet away. When I asked the staff member she blatantly denied meat and vegetarian food cooked in same pan. I had to walk her over to cooking area and point it out to her which seemed to leave her speechless. My son ordered Irish breakfast which was inedible. No apology from staff or manager. Very disappointing. When I asked for the bill the waitress asked me if I wanted the burrito taken off bill?! Shocked at how bad this was.

16/11/2025: Increased group booking at short notice from 5-8. Received a warm welcome & were promptly seated and served with delicious food. We will all definitely be back as we were very impressed! Thanks Julia and team.

08/11/2025: Okay for a city Trip. Room was very small and Wifi didn‘t work.

28/10/2025: Recently had a carvery in here, very taken aback by the prices. We had one full portion and one half portion, one Guinness and one blackcurrant. It costed €48 in total, they must be charging €20 for a full portion, which is crazy. The server initially cut me a miserable portion of beef and I had to ask him to cut more, no doubt I was charged for that too. The meat was very dry and had no taste at all to it, even with a load of gravy. The veg was good and made the meal bearable. The desserts were also €14 per plate, we didn't eat them but I got the price just to confirm the rip off was across the board. It's a shame because this is a lovely pub, decor wise, and in a good location, it has great potential. But it's no suprise it's only ever 1/4 full any time I happen to visit it.

02/09/2025: Had never had Nigerian food before, would defo recommend, the okra stew was so good. Though a tad spicy 🥵

28/08/2025: They ACTUALLY make 'Party Smoky Jollof rice. Certified smoky delicious jollof is served here with beef for 14 euros. Worth every cent. I travel down to get it. Their signage outside the restuarant is a bit hidden but you'll see it once you enter the busisnes park and turn left.

21/10/2025: I wanted to eat pizza but there are so many negative comments that I'll probably say no and order somewhere else

13/09/2025: Said it was open at 2 o clock on a Saturday but I was waiting for 20 minutes and it still wasn't open

12/10/2025: Lovely little café. Staff were super friendly and the coffee and pastry, delicious. Prices were excellent. Highly recommend.

21/09/2025: The bagels are tasty when they’re actually in stock but two weekends in a row they have not had the bagels and cream cheese spread we wanted. They should really be making sure they have enough stock for weekends. If this continues I just won’t keep coming back. Staff aren’t in the slightest apologetic, just a that’s the way it is attitude. Coffee is average.

21/07/2025: On Sunday, I experienced racial abuse from an elderly man in his sixties at Costa in Shankill. Accompanied by my nine-year-old daughter and my younger brother, I witnessed an unsettling encounter. The man struggled to use the card machine, resembling an iPad, prompting my brother to politely suggest that he tap the top part. In response, the man aggressively retorted, "Mind your own f-ing business and go back to where you came from." He further stated, "You are in Ireland now." When I asked him to elaborate on that statement, he refused to respond. I also heard him mumble something about being a woman, though I couldn't catch the exact words. His behavior escalated as he began licking his lips and eyeing me in an unsettling manner. He had a distinct accent, which I could not pinpoint—possibly African or New Zealand—but it was clearly foreign. When I confronted him regarding his remarks and inquired about his origins, he merely laughed and declined to answer. This experience has left me feeling unsafe about returning to that Costa. Such behaviour is utterly unacceptable and should not be tolerated in our community.

05/07/2025: Bright, spacious café on two floors. The barista (tall, red-haired guy) was very fast and skilled, yet he always found the time to smile. Perfect spot for meet-ups and my cortado was delicious!

30/08/2025: We love this spot. The bakery stuff is pretty good, I wish they had a microwave to warm the them. Coffee is okay and the environment is already pretty. You could swing by Box’d for a coffee after a walk in the path.

23/08/2025: Always a long queue here and then you wait for the food to be a disappointment. This is probably the worst burger I’ve had. The bun is BURNT. It smells horrid cause of that. The bacon was horribly cooked. Awful. Just awful. So so disappointed. To make it worse the hot chocolate and coffee tasted like water with some powders.

18/10/2025: The food and atmosphere was lovely. However service for cleaning the tables, floor and menus is appalling. Dirty plates left on tables for a long time, tables not checked. Paper napkins, straw covers and dropped food just left on the floor as staff actually walked over it. Many customers left as no staff advised of the seating area downstairs. Manager and staff should be better prepared.

17/10/2025: Ok food, not spectacular. Service not exceptional but perhaps because you have to order on an app or at the counter it is not expected to be exceptional. If you need something quick this may suffice. Convenient location but don't expect to be catered to.

23/09/2025: I order Lunch regularly for company meetings usually delivered and sometimes we eat in, all the food is freshly prepared daily and nothing is too much trouble. The food is amazing and the staff are very efficient and friendly. I would highly recommend them for any event or just a lunch date.

12/02/2025: I’m Turkish and there is a Turkish man which he is probably manager or the owner of the place. He was swearing to the staff and he was so rude to the customers as well. Never again!

21/01/2025: I ate my first ever kunafa here. It was very rich and delicious. Staff was lovely.
