19/06/2026: I spent over €50 on this takeaway and was extremely disappointed. First of all, the portions were unbelievably small. For this price, I expected a much more generous amount of food, but what I received was nowhere near worth the cost. The taste was also very average and did not justify the price at all. What disappointed me the most was the cold side dish—it was basically just plain wasabi with almost no other seasoning or balance of flavors. It was far too overpowering and lacked the taste you would expect from a properly prepared cold dish. Overall, the quality and portion sizes were completely out of proportion to the price. I won’t be ordering from here again, and I can’t recommend it.

08/06/2026: The ambience was truly delightful, with a beautiful sunset view that made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The food was exceptionally delicious, and every dish we tried was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. Overall, everything was exceptional, and the entire experience exceeded expectations

17/10/2025: I was informed that Sunday - 12th Oct 2025 was the final service in Mario’s Ranelagh Great place, busy with locals! Nice food, House white wine was fab.

03/10/2025: Very disappointing. We were met by a sullen unfriendly staff member with very limited English and zero customer service skills. Throughout the evening we were served by four different staff members, no continuity of service and yet it took us the best part of 15 minutes to catch someone's attention to get the bill. At no stage were we asked if everything was ok or if we were enjoying our meal. Nobody said goodbye as we left, they were too busy sweeping and mopping the floor (at 9pm!). Food was ok. We thought our pasta portions were quite small, overpriced and I could make better myself. Overall impression was impersonal, take it or leave it service. As long-term residents of Ranelagh, very sad to see Mario's has gone downhill big time.

25/11/2025: Great service, food was yummy, felt like I had finally eaten substantially (if you are south asian you know) Food was nice quality and halal so definitely recommend Definitely should be busier. Very underrated

30/10/2025: Got the Twisted Tikka Masala and my boyfriend got some curry dish. The curry was good, but the Tikka Masala was not what I would consider a Tikka Masala. The flavour was only of tomatoes, there was minimal spices added, the colour was red rather then the usual orangey colour. I ordered for takeout so I was glad to have spices at home to fix it… but I would have definitely asked for something else if I was there in person. Pretty pricey as well for the quality and portion

25/05/2026: I have been a loyal customer here for a long time, but after my last visit, I will never step foot in this place again. When I walked in, the chef gave me a really strange look. I ignored my gut feeling and ordered my usual spice bag anyway. It tasted off, but I stupidly finished it. That was a massive mistake. The next morning, I woke up violently ill. I was incredibly sick all day long, to the point where I couldn’t even function properly at work. It was an absolute nightmare. They have completely lost a regular customer. Avoid this place unless you want severe food poisoning.

17/01/2026: Absolutely awful experience. Service was diabolical the place was extremely loud and expensive. I paid €8.79 for 4 mozzarella sticks with a bland sauce and neary 30 euro for a bacon and cheese burger with a small portion of chips. Waiting 20 minutes for someone to take away my starter after I had finished and was not even given a knife or fork for my main course. Avoid this place at all costs, you will pay nearly half the price for better food and service in Eddie Rockets across the road.

05/07/2026: Got the meal deal with the long tray beef curry which was great value and we added a portion of spare ribs which were delicious. My only gripe was the curry sauce which was extremely salty. It's a pity, because the rest of the meal was lovely

19/05/2026: I think this is the best coffee I’ve had in Dublin. I got the Iced Mocha and my friend got the Iced Vietnamese coffee, both had so much flavour and made us want to buy their own coffee beans! Lots of seating available and friendly staff The pastries were lovely too and tasted fresh. Will definitely be visiting again when I’m back in Dublin :)

29/06/2026: Food is ok but the service is very bad anytime I went here i was waiting for me food for over 30 minutes and then I would be missing an item. If you go here make sure you have all your food before you leave.

19/06/2026: The wait is very long, the order is wrong, the employees are not friendly and not ready to help, the priority is to issue orders to cars, you can wait more than 25 minutes for 1 burger

20/06/2026: Poor waste management. Finding single use plastic and all kinds of trash along the footpath is becoming a daily issue here. This area in the neighbourhood used to be very tidy, now is just dirty all the time.

04/06/2026: Great shop with lots of different sweet desserts (waffle, crepes, ice cream and sundae). My boyfriend and me hat an Sundae Oreo and a waffle with Nutella and whipped cream. So delicious! Also the service was really friendly and kind even though it was really busy. 🤗 If you're around it is definitely a must. 🌸

20/07/2026: The treatment was very bad. The huge man with a graying beard spoke arrogantly and showed me no respect as a student. He accused me of lying and demanded my student ID, even though there were no notices or instructions stating that showing a student ID was mandatory

08/07/2026: I recently ordered a pizza takeaway and was extremely disappointed with the hygiene standards. When my food arrived, I found a hair mixed in with the chips, which was completely unacceptable and very off-putting. This raised serious concerns about the cleanliness of the kitchen and the food preparation process.
