29/06/2025: Didn't eat, just a drink on the sidewalk area. Fun to watch the people walk by and enjoy a beer!

28/06/2025: We went here for brunch. I got a toasted sandwich and I noticed hair on top of it. First, I thought it could have been mine and didn't say anything. But then I found more hairs inside the sandwich so they literally couldn't have been mine. Returned this sandwich back to the till. The woman at the till accused me of putting my hair into the sandwich. More than that, she called me stupid for thinking it was their hair. Instead of an apology...such terrible customer service! Rudest staff I've ever encountered.

16/09/2024: Went on a Saturday night and it was closed. No signs, so don’t know if it’s permanent.

20/08/2025: We went there for breakfast and it was very pleasant, little background music, we took juices squeezed to the minute, coffee and pastries all very good, I recommend 100%!

30/05/2025: Chicken was way older and hard. Not a great experience, would not suggest.

05/05/2025: The place is old needs a revamp! Food portions are small that’s why it’s cheap! Staff not great a round of customer service training wouldn’t go a miss!

22/08/2025: I really enjoyed my lunch here. There was a good choice of main courses. My chicken curry was tasty & the cabbage was great too. The Warbler & Wren coffee was delicious. If you bring your own mug of cofeee you get a 10% discount. It's very economical compared with many eateries in the vicinity, The dinning area is extensive and I enjoyed talking to some students eating lunch with me.

10/08/2025: It's advertised as open until 10:30am for breakfast. We went in at 09:55 and they had already stopped serving. We asked one of the staff, who was quite grumpy about telling us food was only served till 10. Went to Keoghs instead.

26/08/2025: All food ordered was salty... Won't recommend anyone even try eating once from here.

03/10/2025: I went here around midnight and ordered a chicken fillet wrap meal. I specifically asked for no salad in the wrap (as I don’t like salad) and requested if they could put a few fries inside instead, just for taste. The staff member immediately refused in a very rude way, without any effort to explain or offer an alternative. It wasn’t just about the food it was the complete lack of customer service and the unprofessional attitude. When you’re serving customers, especially late at night, a bit of courtesy and flexibility goes a long way. Very disappointing experience, and I won’t be coming back

15/09/2025: It's a fried chicken shop that does the basics well. Their chicken fillet burger will be difficult to beat at this price point on portion and taste. Get chilli sauce separate if doing take away as it can soak into the bun. The chicken is fresh and tasty. Have been many times for many years and will continue to recommend to others in future.

12/08/2025: It's big let down me this year golden palace not because food it was because I was costumer ordered here long time loved there chipper then I rang order one day tell me only do card unfortunately my disability I have youse money I'm highlighting this because I found out bye law you still have youse cash now I can't order from here any more I really miss it so this not really fair we have always youse cars I only youse cash this wrong I'm really disappointed golden palace would do this like said food great I feel like this needs be put out there I wish they would go back cash for delivery not really fair

08/07/2025: Its taken me 15 years to find a proper Chinese, that doesn't try and poison me. Everything from here is lovely and wont rip the guts out of you. The staff are also very friendly and helpfu;

05/10/2025: I got a 3 in 1 from here tonight and it claimed to have curry sauce on it so I was in awe when I opened the box to see little to none. The chips in it were uncooked and absolutely foul tasting. I began eating anyway because I was very hungry but now have an unsettling feeling in my stomach. I am very disappointed and will not be returning. (Don’t order here unless you want to get let down)

27/09/2025: Just got an order from the Millenium 2 in Castleknock and the shredded chicken was ordinary chicken in batter the fried rice was dry the noodles could have been used for shoelaces never again I know it's only my opinion but I was disgusted

17/08/2025: I sat by the window, enjoying the warm day, and ordered the mozzarella and rost tomato ciabatta, which was quite good! Relaxed atmosphere, a great pub!

03/10/2025: My wife and I are locals and have been customers here before, but we had a terrible experience. She had just finished her wine while I was still drinking my beer, when an older man who seemed to be in charge came over and abruptly asked if we had finished. When I replied that if he wanted to seat someone else at our table he was welcome to, he aggressively told us there were “lots of people waiting” and effectively invited us to leave. This is no way to treat loyal, local customers. The attitude was rude and hostile, and it completely ruined the visit. Sadly, this is not the kind of atmosphere you expect or want from a neighbourhood pub. After this experience, I looked at other reviews and saw many similar complaints about rudeness and poor treatment. Unfortunately, it seems this behaviour is not unusual here. We will not be returning and cannot recommend it.

24/09/2025: Very nice pub. Old wood style with a fire out back. Large comfy couches in the front. A very friendly old git as a barman. A good trad session most Wednesdays 9:15 to 11.

24/09/2025: Been a student in maynooth 3 years not going to go into much detail but had a issue with trying to order a sandwich and the staff response was hostile and unfriendly and smart told me to speak to a manager and he jumped at me totally unprofessional and unfriendly won’t be going back

23/08/2025: The beef steak was very expensive and chewy, low quality meat. My recommendation is to go for a casual meal such as a burger or a sandwich at this restaurant because they don’t seem good at specialty gourmet food.

27/03/2025: Restaurant is inside the Hilton hotel and it is a good option, since there aren't many places close by. Limited menu but what we ordered (salad and fish and chips) were good.

15/09/2025: Not the best screen or screen size. The projectors are mediocre incapable of handling quality visuals. The speaker are just "okay" nothing good.

14/09/2025: Unfortunately, it has absolutely gone to the dogs. 10 years ago, it was the best cinema in Dublin, now it's not even close. Screenings 1-9 are knackered, badly in need of renovation. The slushie machines are never working, which is one of the only pros of going to Cineworld is the slushies. They added a coffee machine recently and it's shockingly bad, taste worse than instant coffee. The vibe seems completely soulless, so many staff working but no atmosphere whatsoever. The only reason to go here is the IMAX and Odeon have the better Odeon experience anyway. This and The Savoy are absolutely washed. It's a shame because they should be so much better. If you're in the city, I recommend The Lighthouse or the IFI.
