07/07/2026: I had my worst coffee ever in my life here, felt like drinking mud

06/06/2026: The coffee isn't great, and I think they know it. Look, it's not the worst you'll ever have but nor is it the best. It's an expensive, ordinary coffee. But not horrible. I haven't sample the food, though only because other reviews have advised against it! The café itself is a little on the sad side! Not sure what exactly gives it that impression, there's just something a bit depressing about it. That left to one side, it's pretty comfortable. Not a fan of having plastic cups when having coffee in the café itself. If you're going to market yourself as a coffee roasters, you should really offer proper cups & so on. The staff here are always great though! Kudos to them.

09/07/2026: No sanitizer, soap or paper towels anywhere to clean hands. Not the cleanest to be honest.

19/06/2026: Edit 2026: I can't understand what is the story with this place. Got teased into the world cup meal. Placed an order with Deliveroo. Once again, half of the order missing. Are you guys out of your mind there? I've ordered from this place maybe 10 times over the years and every single time something was missing. Absolute joke. Edit 2024: I didn't order from them for 2 years. Decided to give it a go. They sent someone else's order. Literally every single item was incorrect. I will never learn. Avoid!! I keep making the same mistake. Every few months or so I decide to give them another chance and they mess up again. Every single time they forget an item. This time it was drivetru, ordered 2 burgers. Got only one. Realised at home. They really don't care. Never again.

24/07/2026: I have been visiting this business for a few months now. overall the food quality has been decent for the price you pay. You pay what you get. Customer experience: not good. Tried to order food by phone today as usual, the staff is too basic, if you not what I mean, tried to order french fries and I was told "I cant understand you" in a very rude tone. As soon as I said chips all of a sudden the lady understood. The quality of the Cheese Chips was awful, not like I am used too. the Cheese was like it was prepared a couple of days ago and the fries were soggy. Not a good experience at all. I payed 7 euro , not worth 2 euro though.

07/06/2026: The food is nice, the staff are friendly, and the location is excellent. The updated entrance now looks much better and gives the place a more welcoming feel. It’s a great little fish and chips takeaway.

21/07/2026: I had an amazing experience at this Brazilian pizzeria! Without a doubt, it’s the best pizza I’ve had in Dublin. I highly recommend it and will definitely be coming back. Five stars!

10/07/2026: Ordered from this place and they never delivered the food. I tried calling but they don't answer the phone. Had to process a refund through Deliveroo which took an hour of my time then and will take three days to process.

16/07/2026: I am very disappointed with the service I received today. My wife ordered a Munchy Box from this takeaway. When we got home, I noticed it contained pork. This was an honest mistake on our side because my wife accidentally forgot to ask for no pork when placing the order. I called the shop politely, explained the situation, and asked if they could exchange it. Instead of showing any understanding or offering a goodwill gesture, the staff were very rude on the phone. They repeatedly told me it was "your fault" and refused to help. I fully accept that we forgot to mention "no pork." However, we have been regular customers for a long time and have spent a lot of money with this business over the years. I even told them that losing a loyal customer over a €14 meal was not worth it, but they simply didn't care. Good customer service is not just about who is technically right or wrong. It's about treating loyal customers with respect and showing a little flexibility when an honest mistake happens. A small gesture of goodwill could have kept a regular customer happy, but instead they chose to be Rude and dismissive. Because of this experience, I will not be ordering from this takeaway again, and I cannot recommend it to others. Many businesses value their customers and understand that kindness and good service are what build long-term relationships. ************ I am extremely disappointed with today's service. Today, my wife ordered a Munchy Box from this Chinese takeaway. When we got home, we found pork inside. This was actually an unintentional mistake on our part, as my wife forgot to specify that she didn't want pork when ordering. I politely called the restaurant to explain the situation and ask if they could replace it. However, the staff showed no understanding or kindness whatsoever; instead, they were extremely rude on the phone, repeatedly saying, "It's your own fault," and refused to offer any assistance. I admit that forgetting to specify no pork was indeed our oversight. But we have been regular customers of this restaurant for many years. I also told them that losing a long-time customer for a mere 14 euros was not worth it. However, they seemed completely unconcerned. Excellent customer service isn't just about determining who's right and who's wrong; it's more about respecting customers and offering understanding and kindness when they make unintentional mistakes. A small act of kindness could have retained a loyal customer, but they chose indifference and rudeness instead. After this incident, I will never patronize this restaurant again, nor will I recommend it to anyone. I believe there are many businesses that truly value their customers and understand that good service and respect are key to winning long-term customers.

15/07/2026: Gave me food poisoning definitely stay away from there curry sauce had some mad reddish pink tint to it and I felt fine for 2 days and all of a sudden I’m sick I haven’t at any other foods so it was definitely this place

10/07/2026: I felt bad as a local of 8 months not giving this place a try. Well what a farce. I rang and ordered a “large spice bag, extra spicy and extra veg” for collection . I walked 8 mins from home, paid the order and tipped, and walked home. I opened the bag and there was a v small chip portion and 2 spring rolls, a wrong order. I call and explain of this issue. They hang up the phone twice, by the time I get them back they agreed to honouring my order. When I got the order the spice bag had 4 tiny pieces of chicken, their defense was marvellous. Some random stock photo of battered chicken🤣🤣🤣🤣. Stay away of course. I didn’t have much, but in fairness the few chips I had were muck!

24/05/2026: The worst Insomnia branch for a Caramel Ice Cap.I regularly order the Caramel Ice Cap from other branches, and it is always creamy, rich, and delicious. This location completely ruins it.My drink was incredibly watery, bland, and tasted like basic iced coffee with absolutely no caramel syrup. When I complained, the barista asked me should i refund or make one more , I asked for a remake good one instead. She made me wait 10 minutes without ever telling me it was ready.To make matters worse, the second drink was identical to the first—still zero caramel syrup and completely watery. Terrible drink quality and even worse customer service. Avoid this branch if you want a proper Ice Cap

28/05/2026: Hi, a person of 68yrs who has been a great supporter of Captain Americas through the years. Back in late 70's ,was nurse training in local area, 10 in the group & would have regularly gone for dinner in restaurant. After that ,visited often,when in Dublin cityh. My family would also have been regulars. My youngest Son, insisted on a visit with us ,before he emigrated to Canada on 2017. Captain Americas has been a big part of my life for many years. A lot of good memories. Sad to see it go, but hope new enterprise will be as good.

14/05/2026: We were lost, not knowing where to eat; it was after 3:00 PM. And yes, without any problem, they served us a delicious meal: a beef stew and a lamb stew. Thank you for your attention. May 12, 2026

17/05/2025: As someone new to town, I had this place recommended to me. I arrived late tonight, just 30 minutes before they closed. An older lady kindly explained their chef had already left. However, she was incredibly helpful and still managed to serve me. She offered me lasagna, and it tasted great! I ate quickly so they wouldn't have to stay open late for me, but she never rushed me and even kindly warned me it was very hot. At the register, she even gave me an Italian bread to take home and try. I'm so grateful for her kindness. It meant a lot to me and really made a difference.

05/05/2025: The pizzas aren't amazing, but they're good. They can be a great snack option.

26/05/2026: Got a takeaway this week. Really poor standard of food, just thrown together basically. Chicken quality was tough and noodles in the pad Thai were all broken up like they came from the end of a bag. If this was a sit down thai restaurant they would never put out this food the way it was presented to us. Definitely won't be going back.

04/05/2026: I have gotten food here a couple of times. Every time that I tried it I either had diarrhea or I was feeling like throwing up. Don't try the food. However, if you do decide to try it, please do so at your own risk.

18/06/2026: A good burger in a petrol station. The lad behind the counter was excellent, took time to help me decide what I wanted. It helped it was a Wednesday where they had an €11 meal deal. Waiting in the garage shop was a bit odd but that was where it was. Accidental find, I think they call it serendipity when it works out

12/05/2026: We ordered the Angus beef burger, chips and 12 chicken wings with bbq sauce. My husband enjoyed the wings, to note they are cooked from frozen according to the staff. My burger and chips were cooked and sitting on the counter for about 5 minutes before the wings were cooked and they were both cold when served although the chips were tasty with skins on. Also there wasnt enough burger sauce in the burger and the bun wasnt toasted. I won't eat here again.
