16/11/2025: Litteralt no need to order food at home , when the delivery arrived the food was cold , and i ordere two cans of coke they only gave us 1 , and the oil is not changed and its giving the food smell like sheep

08/11/2025: Absolutely no point in ordering food online.Food ordered for 6.30 but wasn't ready until 6.45.Staff kept telling people like myself that had preordered food that their deliveries have to be done first. Very annoying!

18/10/2025: We went to this restaurant for dinner. The waitress informed us that the restaurant closed at 9:00 p.m., which was 8:40 p.m. at the time. She had, however, agreed to let us eat in. Ten minutes before closing time, the waitress began clearing the tables around us and asked us to take our things and trays and sit on the terrace of the fast-food restaurant next door! We then moved to the terrace of this restaurant, where we hadn't ordered anything. Three minutes later, the waitress came back to ask for the trays we were eating from. At 9:00 p.m., the restaurant was indeed closed. A more than unimaginable experience! Regarding the dishes, I ordered the ramen, which was bland and tasteless (supermarket instant noodles are tastier). I don't recommend it at all! As for my friend's dish, the spicy chicken was okay. In short, I generally don't recommend it.

15/10/2025: Absolutely disgusting food and an absolute rip off. The chicken burger was 2 frozen chicken nuggets drenched sauce. It was inedible, threw most of it in the bin. How is this place still in business.

07/11/2025: They often serve whoever walks to the front of counter, ignoring the queue. Quite frustrating. Staff tend to be dour. I like the roast in a bap but it’s quite expensive for what it is.

21/09/2025: In my recent visit to the chipper, I was disappointed to find a burnt burger bun that greatly affected my enjoyment of the meal. The charred bun was off-putting and took away from the overall taste experience. I hope the restaurant can improve their quality control.

15/10/2025: I love Zambrero as a restaurant, and this place was very local for me and handy. Although after recent events I’ve decided to move on to a different Zambrero to enjoy my burritos. I used to always order ahead online and then pick it up in store. I found though that in my more recent online orders they didn’t even start to make it until I arrived to collect it. It wasn’t an excuse like “we wanted it to be fresh for you” it was simply that they just didn’t prioritise it. If they’re busy I get it but I usually order at slower times of the day so that I can get my food. I also only arrive at the time allocated for me to pick up my food. The laziness was getting annoying but I let it slide. What was my final straw with this branch was the experience I had the one time and ordered my food face to face, solely to avail of the student meal where I can get a free can of choice. As I was ordering the girl clearly wasn’t interested to begin with. I’m giving her basic manners and instructions so unsure what her issue was. When I get to the till I ask nicely if I can avail of the student deal and she asks me to show valid ID. I show her my UniDays profile that clearly states my name, college and even a photo of my face. She immediately shuts it down and says it’s an invalid form of ID and she’s not giving me the deal. I ask her why and she just says it’s invalid. The girl next to me in line sees my frustration and steps up to say how she always uses her UniDays ID and they give her the deal. Nowhere in this branch did it say that this wasn’t a valid ID. If something is not a valid form of ID, a shop MUST state this at the till for customers. They failed to do this. The worker gave it to me but said she’d never be able to do this if “the owner was here”. I’d be very surprised if the owner of that tiny branch is there often. Maybe a manager yes, but the owner? Ok. She very rudely sat down my items the till and didn’t even give me a bag to take away my food. I have now moved to a more communal branch and they never ask me for my student ID anymore because I am a frequent and loyal customer and also am clearly a student. They took my UniDays no issue. To Beacon, do better. You have to label what is and isn’t accepted in a shop for customers. It can’t be a surprise when they come up to the till expecting a free drink. Students everyday look for ways to save an extra bit of money. Would also like to state that you cannot set up a UniDays account without a valid student email linked to a real college. It expires every year and you have to apply for renewal so that they know you’re still a student. It’s not a fake app where you can get away with anything. State policies in stores and train your workers to not be so lazy.

31/10/2025: I wish I could give zero stars! I had a terrible experience at the self-checkout. One of my items wouldn’t scan, and instead of helping me, the self-checkout assistant told me I had to enter the barcode manually myself. I tried, but the item wasn’t even in the system! While I was waiting for another assistant, she accused me of not paying and said loudly, “You have to pay,” in front of other customers — which was incredibly embarrassing and completely unnecessary. Thankfully, another staff member came over and fixed the issue within a minute, handling the barcode properly without blaming me. Of course I intended to pay, but being spoken to that way was rude, offensive, and unhelpful. Staff should focus on assisting customers, not accusing them when the system fails and just hanging around the shop!

22/08/2025: I really enjoyed my lunch here. There was a good choice of main courses. My chicken curry was tasty & the cabbage was great too. The Warbler & Wren coffee was delicious. If you bring your own mug of cofeee you get a 10% discount. It's very economical compared with many eateries in the vicinity, The dinning area is extensive and I enjoyed talking to some students eating lunch with me.

10/08/2025: It's advertised as open until 10:30am for breakfast. We went in at 09:55 and they had already stopped serving. We asked one of the staff, who was quite grumpy about telling us food was only served till 10. Went to Keoghs instead.

10/11/2025: Had food poisoning Sunday after eating spice bag with curry sauce from this shop. Not sure what exactly caused this or chicken or curry sauce but got terrible diarrhoea and vomit 10 minutes later,temperature at late night and only 2 days later all gone after using medicines.

11/07/2025: If you're going to be rude to someone calling up and placing an order, at least check to make sure you hung up your phone properly. I don't appreciate being seriously insulted by the woman on the phone, when she thought she had hung up, because I didn't want to give my credit card details out over the phone and saying l'd call back tomorrow as I didn't have any raw cash on me. Lost a customer who's ordered from you for years.
