06/10/2026: I ordered a chicken burger meal for takeaway, and it took ages to be ready while I was waiting inside the place is absolutely filthy. Disgusting. When I arrived home and opened the bag of chips there were wings of a fly on my food I had to throw it away immediately. If you care about clean food made with respect DO NOT COME HERE!

20/09/2026: I left Maxwell Templeogue today having been publicly humiliated by a member of staff, and I am still in complete shock. I am not normally somebody who puts reviews or personal opinions about people or places up online. But I think it’s important that this doesn’t happen to another customer. Having bought a bottle of drink in the shop, I sat for a moment while I waited for my friend to get her purchases. At that point, the manager decided that I was not allowed to remain on the premises because I had purchased a coffee across the road. To be honest, I was taken by surprise, but equally, I was more than happy to leave and I had no issue with being asked. What was really upsetting was the way I was asked. Instead of being approached politely, I wasnt spoken to, I felt attacked. The female manager used an aggressive loud voice, she chose across the shop- ensuring all the other customers heard our interaction. I felt that the way I was spoken to was intended to humiliate and shame me. It made everybody in the vicinity deeply uncomfortable. There was absolutely no need for the situation to be handled in this way. Whatever the policy or circumstances, I believe interactions with customers should be professional, polite and civil. I don’t want to see this happen to another customer, which is why I feel it is important to share my experience.

30/09/2026: New Friendly and helpful staff. Ordered for collection. Order was only started when I arrived. Somehow sweet and sour pork was bland and under seasoned. Pork was tough, over done and in lil hard balls, veg was raw. Sauce had texture and not all else. Tbf rice was grand

18/09/2026: I got a roast duck Szechuan with fried rice and it was gorgeous. The vegetables were so fresh and everything came together perfectly. Highly recommend it

09/08/2026: This place deserves to be condemned in the strongest possible terms. Selling beer (for €6, oh my god!) on university grounds seems highly immoral. The staff is friendly, but I wouldn't even feed their food to a dog. And I don't like dogs. The place has had problems with credit card data protection in the past, so be careful!

20/10/2026: An hour and a half for delivery and I live 5 minutes away. Food is average at best. Wouldn't recommend

14/04/2026: Yet another price increase. Totally not worth it. Food was substandard. Chips were obviously reheated. Interior needs a new coat of paint. Everything looks tired, I cannot understand how they keep raising the price despite the decline in overall food quality. Ridiculous

19/09/2026: Man, I get it, everything has gone up in price but I just paid €10 for a burrito as small as the palm in my hand and even paid €.50 extra to have it toasted and squeezed out of its tin foil, loosing even more food. I got a teaspoon of chilli and a teaspoon of guacamole. So sick of this overpriced crap, and service with a frown. In less than 2 years this place has reduced its portions so massively that it’s no longer affordable. Really fed up with this.

17/10/2026: Last time I had such a great brazilian-styled pizza, I had to be in Sao Paulo for work. If you want to try something different from italian or american, go for the brazilian options in the menu, and do not forget to add catupiry. The price is more expensive than other options around, but honestly, brazilian pizza is way more rich and filling than italian, so one pizza serves 2 people well, at the end you pay the same. Ingredients were of great quality, and very flavorful and umami for the meats. The catupiry cheese border was the cherry on the top, as no extra sauce is needed. Delivery might take longer than other places but I planned accordingly so that ia not an issue. It also gave me the assurance it was hand made and they took the time needed to prepare the dish. On top of it the delivery lad was quite amicable and super grateful for the tip. Would like to repeat soon and maybe try the sweet options, perhaps next month.

17/10/2026: Ordered a 16" and got a tiny pizza in a huge box. Not the size I paid for. Quality has dropped a lot, and the topping amount is pitiful too. Won't be ordering again.

23/03/2026: Had been wanting to try this place for a while, and finally got around to it after a trip. Ordered a couple of starters, two mains, rice and naan - everything was super tasty. The website is really easy to use and gives great info. They even called after the order to let me know one dish wasn’t available and suggested a replacement - which ended up being delicious! The kids loved it, we loved it - definitely hit the spot. Highly recommend if you’re craving authentic Indian food 🙌

15/02/2026: Sadly, after having been happy customers of Spice Guru for almost 10 years, we have decided that we won't be ordering from them ever again. We have noticed a visible decay in quality in the last 4 orders delivered to us. Reviews of other customers seemed to back up our opinions. Tonight we decided to give it a last try but the food was the worst we ever got. We must have ordered Dal Tadka 50 times and it has never been so liquid, watered down, like it had not been fully cooked. Extremely disappointing. The cheese of the saag paneer tasted a bit acid and the vegetable pakora tasted stale.

27/09/2026: I went here on Saturday and had such a lovely experience, the girl Siena who served me gave me such great service and the coffee was just delightful, truly a wonderful experience throughout!
