07/09/2025: Dropped by Soma today and tried their classic burger. Perfectly juicy beef patty, crisp onions, tomato, fresh lettuce, and a creamy slaw sauce all tucked into fluffy brioche buns. 25/08/2025: Got a ham and cheese toastie here, place was deserted and for good reason. When I took a bite of my toastie there were small flys stuck in the melted cheese. when i brought this to the attention of the workers the eldest tried to convince me it wasn’t flys (you could see the legs and wings). Absolutely disgusting and i was put off eating for hours. Absolute lack of care from the workers and clearly unclean place. Stay away.

09/06/2025: Full-time, one-year Master of Science in Cloud Computing at the National College of Ireland. As an international student with prior experience in cloud computing, I had high expectations from this course, expectations that, unfortunately, have not been met. The overall course delivery has been disappointing. Most of the lecturers teaching cloud computing lack both effective teaching methods and depth in subject matter. The assessment pattern is heavily focused on pen and paper exams, which require students to reproduce content word for word from the course materials. Creative thinking or expressing answers in your own words is not encouraged and is often penalized. This completely undermines real learning and practical application, which is essential for a field like cloud computing. Even though students invest a lot of time and creativity in their projects, the evaluation gives disproportionate weight to exams. Projects, which reflect hands-on skills and real understanding, are sidelined in favour of rote memorization. Thesis selection has been a painful process. Many students, including myself, have been pressured to choose topics preferred by the lecturers or ones they are already familiar with, rather than being allowed to explore areas of personal interest. This has caused significant frustration and stress among the student body. Many students have even failed their thesis due to lack of proper support and restrictive guidance from supervisors. Some lecturers, particularly those handling Machine Learning modules, are dismissive and unapproachable. They insist that only the exact content from their material be reproduced, disregarding alternative explanations or deeper understanding. This rigid mindset hampers student growth and discourages independent learning. To be very honest, pursuing Cloud Computing at NCI has been a regrettable experience. The program is not aligned with the demands of a future-driven technology like cloud computing. The lecturers, rather than enabling learning, often act as a barrier. I do not recommend this course to international students, especially those seeking practical knowledge, academic freedom, and proper support during their studies.

09/02/2025: Original owners long gone, place could do with a good clean and the food is dreadful. Only cash accepted, the whole place just stinks of grease. Staff extremely rude, wouldn't recommend and won't be returning.

10/07/2025: The chips were terrible, soggy and just warm. The chicken in the spice bag was like rubber and the chicken balls were huge but are so greasy it makes you feel sick. Never ordering from this place again.

10/08/2025: Sells dangerous low quality items! I needed a power plug travel adapter on short notice. The one they sold me was 12€ but unfortunately was also utter junk. It - wasn't grounded (ground "pin" was just plastic) - didn't stick in any sockets I tried, but kept almost falling out, and so lost contact - most importantly, it arced and threw sparks any time I tried to plug something into it again On closer inspection, that adapter didn't even have any required EU certifications and so should not legally be sold in Ireland. (Sidenote: their shelves and windows are also filled with obvious knockoffs of other branded products) Next day I got a much higher quality and actually functioning adapter at a nearby department store for less than 5€. In short: stay away from this store! They'll only sell you unsafe junk of questionable origin.

23/07/2025: I visited Tech Fix at 22 Marlborough Street, Dublin 1, after purchasing a €30 vape device from there which cracked without any mishandling or dropping. I had both the device and payment confirmation with me. Instead of being offered a proper solution, I was met with hostility. The staff member immediately interrupted me, dismissing my concerns with “What do you want now?” as if I didn’t have any rights. He refused to acknowledge that a brand-new product breaking under normal use is a fault, not my responsibility. He didn’t offer a replacement or a free repair until I explicitly mentioned my consumer rights. Only then did he toss a replacement part at me, without any apology or explanation. Worst of all, he photographed me without permission, apparently to remember me and prevent me from returning. I felt humiliated in front of other customers, treated like a lesser person simply for asserting my right to a fair complaint. This is not how a customer should be treated. Photographing a customer, refusing to assist unless threatened, and displaying rude, dismissive behaviour is unacceptable.

19/10/2025: Get paid but didn't get the order. The teller is so rude named iseda. She even tells me that the system doesn't show my order but my bank deducted already from my account. The teller is not a good service provider as she tells me to re order and re pay again. The food is great but the service provider is not that fair and understanding. I even show my bank details but she refused to served and telling me that the bank will returned back the money and I should trust her as if sheworks in the bank. God the audacity of the server is beyond comprehension. I hope the management will look of the employees bad serving.

12/10/2025: If I could give 0 stars I would! I ordered from here on just eat! The order never came! I got onto just eat and they said the restaurant told them the driver was on the way, no such luck, was waiting for 2.5 hours in total, and then the order said delivered despite it not being delivered! Have requested a refund from just eat, but either the restaurant forgot my order, or some currier tucked into a €50 order, either way will never order from here again!

13/10/2025: For authentic fish and chips, this is the perfect place to go without any pretension. The chefs are very friendly. It's the best place to eat this specialty.

25/09/2025: The amount of fish and fries is great, but the quality was Not So Good… I never rate things so low but the price for the quality and the chaotic ambiance of the actual restaurant was all a miss for me. Also disappointed it didn’t come with sauce! But it’s okay, after hiking for a few hours you’ll be happy to get anything in your stomach waiting for the Dart 😅

20/09/2025: POOR TASTE EGUSI SOUP AND BITTER LEAF SOUP. THE CHEF HAS NO REAL GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF CREATING DELICIOUS SOUP OF AFRICAN TASTE. NO CRAYFISH OR ENOUGH RECIPES IN THE SOUP. TASTELESS, TASTE LIKE PURING EGUSI INTO HOT WATER AND SERVING TO CUSTOMERS. STAFFS WEAR NO FACE MASK IN THE KITCHEN AND SPEAKS FREELY WITHOUT THINK ABOUT SALIVA DROPLET GETTING IN TO FOOD. IMPROVEMENT HIGHLY NEEDED. Nice place to sit down for a talk with friends though.

08/08/2025: My people abeg - start serving fresh meat it acc is a hazard for evreyone s health and why we now Dey follow person when another member of staff already said they can use the restroom in the restaurant, like we be drugie? I buy something and now I am followed in and out of the restaurant by another staff to verify

20/10/2025: Horrendous service especially as of late, we have had 5 orders over the last few months arrive with 1 or more side missing, then being told you'll have to ring the store to get it sorted. You ring and are left on hold then the staff try to get you to not have a replacement sent out, the missing sides end up taking longer to receive than the original order does

16/05/2025: One of the worst pubs I've ever frequented. Coffin sized with a pool table dominating the bar that nobody plays. Located beside a sad strip of shops and frequented by aul lads sitting at the bar nursing a Guinness. 0 atmosphere. Wouldn't recommend. Far nicer bars around with a bit of life. *edit* to add to the sorry state of affairs the Takeaway operating from their kitchen is the same brand as the one in Smithfield that got closed down recently for 'fecal matter on the walls' amongst other appalling food violations. Just look it up and don't get a curry 😒

18/09/2025: The food was EXCELLENT and the service per se was very good. Unfortunately when the check came they tried to sneak in about a 12% service charge - our first such charge in Ireland (for two of us). When asked about it, the older gentleman who appeared to run the place took it off. But after we left I realized they had also padded the fixed-price menu charge: instead of the listed €37.50 per person they had charged €40. A real shame such excellent food was overshadowed by petty charging games. We won’t be back, unfortunately, because of this and not because of the food.

23/08/2025: Way over priced. Portions are very small, although fresh and tasty. If you’re a big eater, you will have to spend over 100 Euros to get full.

04/10/2025: I ordered from here through just eat last night. When the food arrived the chicken in the spice bag was pink and undercooked. Have been a customer for many years, extremely disappointed.

25/08/2025: Was supposed to be €17.30 but when got delivered got charged €18.80 and the driver would not leave until he got another €1.80. This is absolutely outrageous should have been on the receipt on my phone so i was prepared to pay that amount. I am not happy with the service provided at all.
