27/02/2026: Time wasters! Posted as closing at 21:00, arrived 20:34 and told by staff that is closed. When I asked, are you not closing at 21:00? I was told I am leaving at 9pm, my manager is not paying me after 9pm. What a joke!

02/02/2026: Visited this Subway in Rathmines and ordered a tuna mayo with egg, and I had a really nice experience overall. Food: The sandwich was freshly made and well put together. The tuna mayo was generous and creamy, the egg added extra richness, and the vegetables (lettuce, peppers, etc.) were fresh and crisp. I went for wholemeal bread, which was soft and held everything together nicely without falling apart. It was filling, comforting, and exactly what I was in the mood for. Staff & Service: The staff were very kind, friendly, and patient, which honestly made the visit even better. They took care preparing the sandwich and were pleasant throughout — the sort of service that makes you feel welcome rather than rushed. Atmosphere & Cleanliness: The place felt warm and comfortable, especially on a cool day. The shop was clean and tidy, with a relaxed atmosphere that made it easy to sit and enjoy the food rather than grabbing it and leaving immediately. Location: Great central location in Rathmines, easy to pop into while out and about, and very convenient overall. Overall: A genuinely good experience — fresh food, kind staff, and a warm, welcoming environment. Would happily come back and would recommend this Subway to anyone nearby looking for something reliable and satisfying.

16/11/2025: Yesterday I visited this place with my partner and ordered oat milk coffees. While waiting, I noticed the barista using cow’s milk instead of oat milk. When I asked politely if cow’s milk had been used, both staff members became defensive and insisted it was oat milk. My partner tasted his coffee and also confirmed it wasn’t oat milk. He asked for new coffees to be made, and the second time the barista used a different milk jug (the correct oat milk one). Unfortunately, the interaction escalated because the staff continued to deny the initial mistake. This is concerning, as many people have allergies or intolerances to cow’s milk, and accurate milk handling and labeling is extremely important for customer safety. I hope the management addresses this to avoid similar situations in the future

01/10/2025: I ordered a cup of cappuccino to drink inside, I received it in a paper cup and the coffee wasn't tasty. The atmosphere was very unpleasant, the tables and floors were dirty.

13/03/2026: Gave warm cans of coke small tray of shredded chicken for 8 euro there was only seven pieces of chicken

13/02/2026: I ordered a spice bag but it was about 90% chips. The chicken pieces were mostly coating with very little actual meat, and they were dry and chewy. I’m really disappointed with the quality.

11/12/2025: food had to be microwaved when it arrived because it was cold ( i live 5 mins away) ordered spicebag, house chow mein, and kids meal, complete waste of €47,curry sauce was busted over everything spice bag had 5 scauldy pieces of chicken everything was cold,bland and and pure oily, normally wouldn’t give a review but thanh cong is gone to the dogs

09/10/2025: Place is hit or miss, got a coconut red yesterday and it was by far the worst smoothie I’ve ever had, both my friend & I didn’t like it, I couldn’t really understand the flavour of it, nothing tasted like what it said on the menu and it tasted more like water with just a smidge of diluted watermelon juice, after a few sips, I had to throw away which was wasteful. Koffee & Kale across the road makes better smoothies and the taste is always consistent.

20/01/2026: Wow, this is the most ridiculous food I’ve ever eaten. I ordered egusi and pounded yam hoping to show my multicultural friends how amazing Nigerian cuisine is instead, I was left embarrassed. Whoever made that egusi should be jailed. The texture was off, the seasoning was nonexistent and the pounded yam had the consistency of thick cement. As a Nigerian I felt personally betrayed. My ancestors did not survive colonialism for me to eat egusi that tastes like this. Absolutely devastating.

07/11/2025: I was drunk and didn’t even enjoy the food. If you want a last resort Chinese maybe you’ll half enjoy it but we ordered a 4in1 and chow mein both were shocking. Chicken was stringy tasted like it was cooked a month ago, curry sauce was somehow dry, rice was like coconut if you like that you’ll enjoy the rice. Chips were the only half decent thing we got. Just make decent food if this was my local I’d be fair sad

07/11/2025: Horrendous 4 and 1, Chicken was the worst thing I ever ate, must of been fake chicken. The curry was dry. The chips were ok. Barely any rice in the portion. Never again will I have food here.

24/02/2026: The young lad behind the counter clearly seeing me, just ignored me as I stood in front of him to pay for petrol. Texting away and grinning into his phone like an ape. Went on for so long that I had to ask him to get off phone so I could pay. Happened on the 24/2/26 around 19.30, check your cameras and tell me I'm wrong.

01/12/2025: When i lived in templeogue i used to go in there a lot i think the staff are very friendly and is always well stocked derek the owner and his wife susan run a great shop.with the help of staff its always lovely and clean well done to all hugo quilty

31/07/2025: Worst dining experience of my life. I ordered udon noodles with prawns and teriyaki sauce, and what I got was honestly the worst udon I’ve ever had. It felt more like teriyaki with a side of udon than the other way around. The dish was made with zero care or attention, completely lacking in love or effort. Extremely disappointing. Save your money and stay away from this shop!!! 🤯

17/01/2026: Absolutely horrible service. Ordered a 4 in 1 with sweet and sour sauce (I asked this through just eat notes which is what they’re there for), and a 4 in 1 with curry sauce comes. I rang them to just let them know thinking they’d apologise and offer to switch my order as ai literally cannot eat it. They told me it’s my fault as I didn’t ring to switch to sweet and sour sauce but it’s in the notes? I do this all the time at other restaurants and it’s no problem. They then asked me would I like to order a sweet and sour sauce I said is it free as my order is wrong? And they said I would have to pay for it…? God forbid someone addressed an allergy on their just eat notes, they just don’t bother reading them clearly. Don’t order from here, I know I never will again.

Upon placing an order, they falsely claim that communication has been unsuccessful and that delivery is not possible. Furthermore, they fail to provide a refund, demonstrating a complete lack of professionalism and customer service.

21/03/2025: I don't know why is such a problem for this - and specificly for this - shop to send plain burger if I ordered so? And also female Indian drivier is giving three to four phone calls unable to deliver to the doors.

16/09/2025: Soup was served me cold, got different type of rice, delivery guy didn’t know where my location is, which was literally in the city Centre, never seen a worse restaurant in Dublin than this restaurant.

14/09/2025: They call this sushii? The portions are very small and not delicious. Very unsatisfied. They also only put a small little ball of wasabi looks like bluetack. Glad i didn’t order more food from here would of been ever more disappointed especially because i paid €22 just for all this. They need to learn how to properly make sushi portions
