The best restaurants in Dublin

28/12/2024: Two big holes in my bag of chips and the seal on the bag was a mess. Driver clearly having a nibble at customers food. Think I'll be personally collecting my future orders from now on. Also the delivery driver said he couldn't give me 30euro if I gave the balance on a 50 then he whips outs bunches of notes and just gives more coins in change. Imbisile! I should be reporting this guy. Watch out for a rough looking 50 something baldy guy delivering for this restaurant. Very dodge me thinks.

21/12/2024: Awfull service. Ordered a spice bag which tasted like it was a day old and micro waved back to life don’t eat here

06/06/2025: Ordered happy meal for kid coz he is a Pokémon fans, but got Despicable 4 toys , how funnny this shop is😡, and a cheese burger without cheese in it.

02/05/2025: Este servicio fue impactante que eran tan groseros y los conductores detrás del mostrador se estaban riendo de usted cuando usted estaba pidiendo la comida estaba bien, pero mi estómago después demuestra lo malo que era las galletas fueron anunciadas como galletas calientes Las entré calientes y cuando le pedí que las calentara de nuevo él fue grosero y las calentó y eran de textura tiza y eran poco apetitosos Realmente no estoy contento con este servicio eran pobres en la higiene y la limpieza de mesas migas por todo el lugar debe ser más limpio para lo silencioso que es y los baños están fuera de servicio demasiado muy decepcionante

08/04/2025: Absolutely awful , chips either burned or reheated from last night , chicken ball were the same burned to a crisp , inedible. Call shop and was told " bring them back for a replacement " . Stay well clear of this joint.

03/06/2025: Possibly the worst "food" (if you can even call it that) in my entire life. Absolutely disgraceful, I've never been to any part of the world where noodles taste like medicine. Also the place is very noticeably unhygienic.

31/05/2025: Spring rolls are not worth 5 euros. And the chicken fried rice was too oily. There were a lot of people when I went there that day, and there were children crying. It was very noisy. Personally, I don‘t like it very much.

08/05/2025: One of the worst takeaways I’ve experienced, food was nothing like the descriptions and stale tasting, we called up and whoever picked up laughed down the phone when we explained about the food no apologies and essentially trying to gaslight us into believing the food was supposed to be like that and talking over us awful food and service would not recommend.

23/05/2025: You dont see much of Dublin and after a while it gets boring. Not in Temple Bar at all. There are better ways to spend an evening, disappointed. Go bowling instead.

11/05/2025: I do not recommend booking this. I was on a stag do the weekend just gone and arranged the pedal bike tour for 9 people costing €270. The reviews and the website describes the tour as lively, you get a tour of Dublin, the leader gives good banter, stories and the pubs you stop off at are excellent. 4 pubs in total and the last one is great. Here’s the reality - you meet at the Lombard before you begin which is a great pub. Then you stop off at 2 pubs - both overpriced, terrible pubs before returning to the Lombard! The leader says hardly anything during the tour, you see nothing of Dublin and the bikes have definitely seen better days. It’s a complete rip off for €270 and I recommend not doing this!

21/04/2025: Always a fantastic Chinese takeaway. My favourite on the Northside of Dublin. Every time I’m back in Dublin my go to place. Hot and sour soup is to the die for. Highly recommended any beef dish. Takeaway only

17/01/2025: The food quality has really gone downhill with Sunkist over the last while. Just received an order and the food was completely inedible and had to be thrown out. Very disappointed as I've ordered from this takeaway for many years.

27/06/2025: I took my 5 year old Son to McDonald’s for a treat today and had what can only be described an atrocious customer service!. Ordered a happy meal with fish finger & ice cream, a quater pounder meal. After 20 minutes waiting time I politely asked for an update on food and was told fish fingering were coming with complete order! 6 minutes later we were informed sorry but we don’t have fish fingers, so we had to compromise for chicken nuggets. After a 32 minute wait the food finally arrived only to discover returning home they gave my Son the wrong ice cream with his meal! . If I could give this branch a big O rating for atrocious customer service I most certainly would! Also I observed numerous other customers with similar complaints white waiting for our food. This branch should win an award for the worst McDonald’s in Dublin!. I advise anyone looking to have a McDonald’s at this branch to think twice before visiting.

21/06/2025: Probably one of the worst McDonalds you can step into. The last 3 times I was in they had the table locators taken away and a message on the order kiosk "only doing to go orders" or similar. Table service seems to be too much bother for the staff, even though one day there were 9 staff and about the same amount of customers. If you place an order its about 50/50 that you will get what you ordered. My last order had the wrong McFlurry. The fries were cold and overcooked (that's some achievement), the McFlurry was half liquid and there was a paper fork in the McFlurry, that about sums up the standard. They don't leave condiments, napkins, or straws out, so you have to check your order and if you need any of the above which you will, you need to try and attract the attention of a staff member, that in itself is a challenge. I'm not loving it June 2025

06/06/2025: Manager is an absolute liar trying to scam you out of stuff you paid for. We’ve been regular customers of Roma Takeaway for ages, always ordering our chipper from here, but after tonight’s experience we probably won't again They forgot part of our order, which can happen — fair enough. When we called, they assured us it would be sent out straight away. Half an hour later, still nothing. We rang again, and this time they claimed they had delivered it and banged on the door but "no one answered the door." Total lie. Sister told them she'd be checking our cameras, and suddenly they changed their story — no apology, no real explanation. Just a lazy attempt to cover up poor service. We’re disappointed, not just because of the missing food, but because of how poorly it was handled. Roma used to be reliable, but this kind of treatment is a joke. Get it together.

05/05/2025: We ordered a pizza and garlic sauce tonight, but when it arrived, the pizza was missing toppings, and the sauce was missing. The pizza tasted off and had a strange smell. The battered sausages were raw and the chips were absolutely awful. When we called the shop to complain, they were rude, wouldn't listen, and made a racist comment before screaming down the phone they were now closed and then they hung up without resolving the issue. Now we're stuck without any food because it is all inedible. I will not be ordering again and I’d advise nobody else to either.

02/06/2025: Restaurant run by scammers. Ordered from yesterday and they were out of the items which I ordered. This has been the case several times. If the restaurant don’t have the item in stock then simply take them off the menu. That isn’t really a hard thing to do. and after that Once the order is cancelled, the delivery apps don’t process the refunds. So I lost my money. So they are just a bunch of scammers.

08/05/2025: Barely anyone answers the phone, the pizza was late and we ordered almost 2hours ago.

07/11/2024: Prices have gone up food quality has gone way down order double bacon double chicken couldnt find the chicken, on a number of orders. Chicken tender they taste plastic and hard, chips use to be lovely crisp now their soggy dont know if its new management but last few months quailty had really gone down hill

21/05/2025: I've been coming here for 4 years about 3 or 4 times a week, the staff here are lovely and so kind. Today there's been a violent incident that the security guard yelled at a young mother. This was clearly an act of racism. It was very disappointing to see that this individual created a disgusted atmosphere in this lovely coffee shop.

24/04/2025: I came in in around a month ago and was about to ask if they had the facilities for me to charge my phone with a cable and plug when i was interrupted and told “toilets are for customers”. I felt it was rather rude. Today i came in for a second time. It was the same man and he was rather rude, kind of flinging the food at me. I wasn’t asked whether i wanted my food toasted and im assuming they only do takeaway cups as I wasn’t offered a plate or mug. Overall poor service. He’s a white man with what I assume is a French accent, middle aged.
