09/12/2024: Came here because of Somebody Feed Phil. Food is mediocre. The slices of bread we got with our meals definitely had been sitting out for a while and were quite hard. The perk is that it’s a nice restaurant setting / atmosphere amongst a hectic street of crowded restaurants.

08/12/2024: In September my sister and I ventured from Australia to Dublin, it was our first time in the city and once we dropped our bags off, my sister and I B-lined it straight to Gallagher's Boxty House upon heavy request from our mum who had previously been many years before, and talked non-stop about how amazing the food was. We took our first bites and to put it simply, our lives were changed! We were in Dublin for only 4 days, and we ate at Gallagher’s Boxty House EVERY DAY without fail for either lunch or dinner, we didn’t have to discuss where we were going to eat as it was a no-brainer, and didn’t even bother trying any other local restaurants because we knew nothing could compete. The food was absolutely amazing and dining here was the highlight of our every day in Dublin! I ordered the Chilli & Bean Boxty each time I came and my sister ordered the Lamb Boxty, the food was always perfect and up to standard, and the drinks were equally as delicious. The staff and manager were beyond accommodating and gave us desert on the house, obviously we ordered the desert apple Boxty which was incredible! Upon coming home from our trip, the only thing we’ve been able to talk about is how amazing the food and staff were at Gallagher’s Boxty House, and have been heavily advising people to go to this beautiful city, even just for the day, so that they can experience the magic of Boxty. We were very sad to leave and are already planning on coming back to Ireland just to come back here for another great meal with hospitable staff, it’s definitely worth the 23-hour flight from Melbourne to Dublin. I highly recommend dining here when you get the chance, the food, drinks, and staff are incredible, they're kind, funny, and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and to provide the best service.

19/12/2024: Me and my husband had the best steak of our lives here last night. Absolutely unreal cote de boeuf. It literally melted in our mouths. We've been to many restaurants together including some incredible steakhouses but this was by far the best ever. The service was also excellent, orders came out quick. Will return soon. Highly highly recommend.

22/12/2024: This is a real old Dublin pub down on the Stawberry beds. on the banks of the liffy. I've been coming here for the best part of 50 years now playing music with old friends Claire and Donie O' Brien and their son, Gar. You'd pay to hear him play. The welcome is always great, beer quality now is first class. Lovely spot.

24/11/2024: We really enjoyed our day 2 wedding celebrations at the wrens nest. Luke and his team ensured that all our requests were catered for and we would highly recommend the wrens nest for anybody celebrating a special occasion. The music, food, atmosphere and service was all top class.

16/12/2024: This was my first time trying this restaurant, and I wasn’t familiar with the type of cuisine beforehand. After looking it up, I realized it was Chinese. I ordered their Uyghur chicken with rice, which came with tender chicken, peppers, onions, and a flavorful soy-based sauce. Overall, the food was excellent, and the ambience was great—definitely worth a visit!

29/11/2024: Truly the best venison I've ever had. I tried the mushrooms in my husbands guinea fowl, and for the first time ever I liked mushrooms.

31/12/2024: Massive Dunnes with a great selection, butchers, fishmongers and cheesemongers. One of the better supermarkets in south Dublin.
