20/10/2025: Very cute restaurant! We went on a Friday night — unfortunately, it was quite noisy, so if you’re looking for a quiet, romantic spot, I wouldn’t recommend it. We ordered the vegetarian dish, which was very tasty. It didn’t include any carbs, so we added a side of bread, which was also very nice. The side carrots were flavorful, but we didn’t enjoy the crisps — they lacked spices and weren’t very crispy, which was a bit disappointing.
There’s a nice selection of non-alcoholic drinks. Overall, it was a good experience, though a little on the pricey side, and there’s still some room for improvement.

29/11/2025: I've been coming here for about 15 years and must say the consistency and quality of the food and service here is incredible.
I usually go for the Regular Breakfast and honestly never wait more than 5 minutes before getting my food.. I dont know how they do it!! And its always the same super high quality ingredients. Always.
28/11/2025: The place is located a little outside the city center, which is a plus.
The prices are fair and the food is very generous.
The atmosphere is a little run down.
I would gladly return 👍🏻

27/11/2025: I’m not lying, five stars for every single aspect. First of all, the staff is incredibly kind, polite, and respectful; they’re always attentive to whatever you need. The food was exceptionally flavourful, every dish was full of taste and pure deliciousness. The atmosphere was lovely as well, with Christmas decorations everywhere, giving it a very nostalgic feel. The owner was also present and always took the time to check on us. A solid 10 out of 10.
26/11/2025: From the beautiful interior to the most friendliest accommodating staff. I cannot say enough good things about Hugo’s. And of course the food is amazing. So good, after my first visit I made reservations and came back the next night. Thank you Hugos!!! Highly recommended

25/10/2025: My group and I loved the food, drinks, and the atmosphere. The people who work here are a JOY. We loved the happy vibes. Breakfast was filling and the lattes were great. Employees went above and beyond offering extra things to make our experience the best.
24/10/2025: During my stay in Dublin I had breakfast here twice since I loved the first one so much.
Staff is super friendly and the food is really tasty. I had the bagel with salmon twice, I loved it and still think about it.

14/11/2025: Excellent lunch with friends; everything was perfect, the dishes were refined, delicate, and delicious, the setting is truly pleasant, and the staff were charming and attentive. A lovely restaurant in the Hotel Merrion.
08/11/2025: The service in this place is what stood out for me. The waiters and waitresses were all so friendly but very professional at the same time. What really did it for me though was when the staff noticed I hadn’t eaten my foie gras amuse bouche, they brought me out an alternative. And then for my appetiser, they removed the foie gras from it without me having to ask. Such a nice touch and shows the staff are really on the ball. Food was excellent as well needless to say! Unfortunately only took photos of the desserts, but the whole meal was wonderful

06/11/2025: Visiting from NJ. Friends that live in Ireland took us here. What a cool place. Its what I always envisioned an Irish Pub to be like. Great pint of Guinness. Bartender was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely a place to stop in for a pint and good fun conversation
04/11/2025: Off the beaten path but very much a wonderful pub. Excellent coddle and one of the best Guinness pours near Dublin. Hopefully this stays as a hidden gem and doesn't become ridden with tourists like The Cobblestone has become over the past few years. Very much looking forward to our next visit at this lovely pub.

22/11/2025: We visited Pog in Dublin last weekend and it was brilliant! We were served by Vince who was very great! I’m Coeliac and had heard great things about POG providing gluten free pancakes which is why we went. Vince was very aware of Coeliac disease and understood cross contamination well. He made sure what I ordered was safe and I had the best breakfast! Our party we’re over the moon with how happy I was😂 the rest of the party had the cooked breakfast which they said was delicious! We had to wait for a table as there was 6 of us but it didn’t take longer than 15-20minutes so it wasn’t a problem for us. Will definitely go again when we next visit Dublin!
22/11/2025: Bustling city vibe eatery meets super personal service from my lovely waiter Vince on a busy Saturday Brunch-time. Excellent beverage recommendation with a refreshing Bellini to complement my zingy and fresh tasting Avo on Toast. Great stop off by the river before catching the bus to the airport! Adios!
