29/01/2025: I have to say in Swords the Betsy is fab . I will definitely be back .There isn’t many place we’re service is so efficient and attention to detail from staff is second to none , How friendly all staff are. I was there on Sunday last and had a lovely roast dinner with my family . The staff were so nice , warm and friendly and absolutely lovely to my kids. I would highly recommend. 😃👍

26/01/2025: Attended for brunch with friends which was ruined by management verbally abusing his customers. Should have read all the other negative comments between trip advisor & Google reviews before attending here. How can one owner have so many complaints from so many different people ? Must be true... He was absolutely disgusting how he treated his staff also. Shouting at them.. laughed in people's faces as he was being rude. Stay clear unless you want to be abused.

20/06/2024: Mi marido y yo, y amigos, habíamos sido grandes partidarios de este restaurante, ya que nos encantó la comida, el servicio, la comodidad. Justo antes de la Navidad de 2023 , mi hijo y mi hija nos compraron cada uno un vale por 100 Euros. Por enfermedad, no salimos muy a principios de 2024 , y decidimos utilizar los vales cuando nuestro hijo vino del extranjero en abril de 2024 . Sin embargo, nos quedamos atónitos cuando leímos el artículo de Lucinda sobre el cierre del restaurante, un par de semanas antes de nuestra visita prevista. No puedo entender cómo la gente del restaurante vendió los vales, uno el 16 de diciembre de 2023 y el otro el 24 de diciembre de 2023. Seguramente sabían que no estarían operando en 2024? Estábamos enfermos por esto.

24/07/2024: Este restaurante es sin duda el mejor salón de comida en espadas. Ok, muy poco ambiente para experimentar, pero eso también se aplica al resto con una excepción o dos. Sin embargo, la comida, el servicio y el personal no pueden ser culpados. Hemos estado docenas de veces ahora más de 2 años y el servicio es extremadamente rápido, amable y a un precio muy razonable. Chicos, no os perdáis la experiencia gustativa que es este restaurante.

28/04/2024: We went for a date night and had chicken goyza, chargrilled chicken ramen, chicken katsu rolls and skin on fries. Everything we had was delicious and presented beautifully. They have 2 cocktails for 16 euro and the strawberry daiquiris were very good. Prices are very fair for the quailty of food and the staff are all lovely.

09/07/2024: We stayed at the Hotel and dined at this restaurant on our last night there. It is only open on Fridays and Saturdays, but is well worth the experience if you can manage to be there. The restaurant is very comfortable and well-appointed and enjoys picturesque views over the Malahide estuary. The staff are very presentable, efficient and exude typical Irish charm; they are ably led by Restaurant Manager Tony and his staff. We chose not to opt for a starter, instead going straight for the main course. My wife chose the “Catch of the Day”, which was a whole Black Sole. It was cooked to perfection; the flesh just flaked easily off the bone. The accompanying vegetables were well cooked with just the right amount of firmness. I chose an Irish beef Fillet Steak which was again cooked exactly to perfection and therefore my liking. This was complemented with some nice wine. For a dessert course, we chose the Baked Cherry Alaska with cherry gel and roast hazelnuts. It was quite one of the most delicious desserts we have enjoyed on our travels. The atmosphere was extremely relaxing – there was no pressure between courses. We were able to relax, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the views.

02/07/2024: Thank you so much for an outstanding experience. The food was first class. All of the staff were friendly and attentive and really added to the occasion. Thank you all, we will definitely be coming back and recommending you.

11/03/2024: Three of us were here for a Mother's Day lunch. Nice setting, bar was cold. Menu options not great and we were not impressed with them not having a vegetarian sandwich option, strange in these days when so many are opting for a vegetarian or vegan diet. The food menu made the sandwiches sound gourmet but they were far from that, I would say just basic with a big price tag. One of us ordered the mash with chicken and it was totally tasteless. We ordered 2 glasses of Chardonnay and I'd lay money that it was Sauvignon Blanc. Disappointing experience.

25/02/2024: We had a family lunch for ten in Feb 2024 ( we've been a few times) and always find it an excellent place to gather - the staff are professional, friendly and efficient and the food is fine. The Jameson Bar bar is where we eat but we've also used the Seaview lounge upstairs and a private room - and always find it is a reliable hotel for eating and family gatherings.
