12/11/2024: We had two nights stay at Hayfield Manor, to attend & celebrate the Graduation of my daughter at University College Cork. Hayfield Manor made it truly a sense of that special occasion, one wants to cherish and hold dear to. 5 🌟 Stars to everyone & everything. I will be staying there in future.

18/10/2024: Came randomly, and don’t need to reservation if you are alone. Staffs are super nice and explain everything very professionally. I do recommend this place for people want to try Irish food and beers.

17/10/2024: The food is good staff are nice there except one staff made a mistake with payment with one of my friends because I phoned him he said he paid for his meal that night Saturday 5th of October but we will be back

01/11/2024: One of the best restaurants with great food and wine in Cork. The restaurant offers boutique style fine dining experience. You have the option to do their tasting menu. The food, specialty the oyster, the lamb are memorable. The oyster is fresh, with the shaved ice, it adds an additional layer to it. The lamb is tender like a fish, yet with the crunchy crispy skin, with a bit for chard. The service is excellent, the staff are caring and friendly. Definitely need to make reservation ahead of time.

01/11/2024: Fabulous place, great atmosphere. Had the steak which was cooked to perfection, bottle of Argentinian Malbec , followed by the orange cake. Great service too.

17/10/2024: The food tastes good, but took a long time. The atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely, the price is reasonable. But the 4 stars are because of the delay, the drinks are delayed, the food is delayed, the bill is delayed. Overall, the food is good. If you go, I recommend booking in advance.

02/11/2024: A total rip off… my friend and I shared a cheese and meat sharing platter. 4 slices of very thin salami, 3 pieces of cheese, 2 chicken balls and 1 piece of black pudding sliced in 2… hard bread and not great crackers. €22… the sauce that was supposed to be there wasn’t. We had to ask for it… they were out of it. Crab starter €17… small, not great. (Say no more) I’m over from London, a tourist the city needs. I can absolutely see why Ireland is not attracting the tourists they need. I will not return

05/11/2024: We were staying in Cork city for the jazz weekend and decided to take a walk out to Douglas to Marcello's as I had heard about the vegan menu! And wow..it was amazing! So much choice and the dishes were amazing..authentic, home made Italian dishes! We will definitely be back whenever we are in Cork! A must visit for everyone!

29/10/2024: Can't say enough positive things about this friendly and cosy Italian. Excellent service, amazing food and a great atmosphere in which to enjoy our food and drink.....cocktails weren't half bad either!!

18/10/2024: Ate here a few years ago, found the chicken and waffles awful. Definitely do not get them. Expected maple syrup and sweet waffles, but got a savoury meal instead. This was before they had a description with the dish, so at least now you know what to expect. I ate there recently and had the chocolate waffle, and a taste of the fruity french toast. Now these dishes were impeccable. Although i will say with the chocolate waffle a bit more cream would be nice as the chocolate sauce tends to be top rich. I ate with a group and we found the portion sizes to be very good. The dinners looked nice as well. Also the pink sangria is fab! I wish there was more dessert options than the two we had been shown; as one member of our group had a nut allergy and didnt like the sound of the other dessert. I would definitely recommend to go here other than that upon my second visit. Definitely a spot not to miss. Book ahead though as its always packed!

16/10/2024: The service here was so kind and accommodating. I ordered takeout and they offered my a table to sit and wait at while the food was prepared. That was so nice. The rotisserie chicken was delicious. The team here at SpitJack was so kind.

02/11/2024: Lovely atmosphere. Went with colleagues from work and from start to finish it was a great dining experience. Lovely warm welcome, beautiful food and great service. Nice choices on menu. Reasonably priced. I would highly recommend.

22/10/2024: Enjoyed a lovely meal here with my husband, would definitely eat here again. The menu had a lot of variety and service was prompt and friendly. I tried a nonalcoholic cocktail and it was very nice, no nonalcoholic options for wine or prosecco available unfortunately but we both really enjoyed our food. We both had the flourless chocolate cake for dessert and it was so so good,a highlight of the meal for us both.

20/10/2024: Richard, Avi and Cian were so welcoming and gracious. The food and ambience were outstanding. Highly recommend to future Cork visitors.
