29/04/2025: Bar man was a fantastic credit to the enterprise. Chatty but not to over the top . Great knowledge of the dishs and went out of his way to acomadate us. Food was fresh delicious ingredients. I had a d constructed ox tail lasagne. It's flavours where very very special and savoured every mouth full. We had monk tail for dinner and it was again delicious, sides where also fantastic. I will definitely be returning here.

05/05/2025: Went with 4 adults, 2 kids. Had an outside table. Service was efficient and very friendly. The food was superb and reasonably priced. I had the fish n chips and was amazing. Light crispy batter covering fluffy moist fish and fresh (not frozen) chips. Kids menu is great too. Very impressed

16/05/2025: My wife and I were there in the summer of 2022 along with our daughter, her husband and their children. After spending eight days in different parts of Ireland, this was our last stop for two nights and it was the most magnificent! The entire staff was extremely cordial. The decor was elegant. The Orchid Restaurant was a total culinary delight. In fact on our second night, we decided not to go on it anywhere else because we enjoyed it so much. My father‘s parents came from Cork and this was a dream to spend my last two nights in Ireland at the Hayfield Manor. God willing, I will return.

07/05/2025: We did a family day trip to cork and we found this amazing place to eat, loved the decor and the people here are amazing and very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The food is delicious and highly recommended 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

07/05/2025: Just visited this place for the first time after living in the area for a while already. Absolutely loved the place. Just dropped here for a quick lunch on my son's 18th birthday. Service was really lovely, people went far & beyond to make us feel welcome, food was spectacular and I left the place even happier than I came in. Definitely will come again.

03/05/2025: Tuvimos una comida fabulosa, pero lo que lo empañó fue Beverly. Muy buena comida. El servicio era bueno. Tuvimos 3 platos de comida con bebidas que estábamos acabando desierto cuando Beverly el anfitrión vino y dijo que teníamos 10 minutos para levantarse de la mesa la mesa está reservada. No nos dimos cuenta ya que teníamos nuestros cafés pedidos sabiendo que estaríamos terminados en aproximadamente 10 mente de todos modos. Ella regresó en menos de los 5 minutos que necesitamos para desalojar la mesa dijimos que terminaremos nuestros cafés y nos iremos luego dijo que estábamos 2 horas allí y hay un límite de 2 horas en la mesa. Dijimos que teníamos una comida de 3 platos con bebidas y nunca oímos que había un límite de 2 horas y no había señales. Ella estaba dando a otros empleados acerca de nuestra mesa y que no nos íbamos de la mesa. Íbamos a irnos en breve. Sentimos que era muy grosera y poco después de la conversación dejó caer nuestro cheque a la mesa. Había mesas a nuestro alrededor libres y no vimos qué prisa había. Fue una pena dejar esta opinión, ya que la comida y el servicio era bueno. Nuestra factura era de más de 150 €, sentimos que no merecíamos esto.

30/04/2025: We had an incredible experience last night from the moment we arrived. The service was friendly and impeccable. The staff's attention made all the difference, including the perfect cooking of my steak. All the courses were extremely tasty. It was a very pleasant first experience and I will certainly come back again.

22/05/2025: One of the best restaurants in Cork! It's extremely affordable for the quality of the food. Don't hesitate to try the mussels; the portion is very large and the quality is excellent. The outdoor tables are heated, which is appreciated.

21/05/2025: The good — Steak was amazing! Just plain, didn’t need the sides. The steam veggies were so good! The bad — Server started strong and was on top of everything, then when it can time for the tab, waited over 30 minutes. Food is subjective. I wasn’t a fan of the greasy fries, chewy fries. Maybe a bad batch that sat out too long? I would recommend this restaurant.

24/05/2025: Had a retirement evening tonight at this truly fabulous restaurant!! What a superb meal,the food ,the service,the staff, Richard the manager and his staff were absolutely fantastic!!! Love the menu here,so fresh and delicious,great portions too,thanks again,will be back!!!

15/05/2025: We went here for our anniversary dinner, it was delicious we had a great experience. The cocktails were next level exquisite, i was driving and they accommodated my no alcohol request perfectly. All the cocktails are made to request as I was able to order any of the cocktails as mocktails. I ordered the pornstar martini and they even served me a shot of lemonade! My partner enjoyed normal cocktails and reported they were amazing. For dinner I ordered the sundries tomato cannelloni which wasn’t my favourite but still nice. My partner ordered the salmon which was cooked perfectly. We ordered a side of mashed potatoes which were creamy and delicious. Desert was equally delicious and the staff surprised us with a candle for our anniversary. Overall it was well worth the price.

13/04/2025: I used to drink here many years ago, back then it was just as busy as it is today ,with one difference. Back then the place was spotless. polished bar top surgically clean toilets and carpet throughout you could eat off. Today the carpets are filthy ,the toilets disgusting smelling of stale pee.. the whole place is shabby and run down.. What a shame...

18/05/2025: There is a very friendly atmosphere to this hotel. It has an excellent bar that serves cocktails staffed by characterful, friendly and efficient staff. The rooms are excellent, some with river views. It has a reasonably sized swimming pool (15m I think) and spa facilities. This area can be busy with members so choose your times. It is a littlevtoo far out of town to walk in so you will need to taxi or take a bus. Parking is good.

03/05/2025: Tuvimos una magnífica cena después del partido aquí, un coyole de minutos wakj del estadio Turners Cross. Gran servicio y un buen ambiente. Entre los 5 tuvimos pescado con papas fritas, lasaña, goujones de pollo, la hamburguesa de ternera y carne asada y todos estaban más que contentos. Delicioso pescado fresco de Kenmare Bay btw. Porciones de tamaño decente, tubería caliente y sabrosa. . Bonito lugar, sin duda volveremos.
