10/09/2025: First Irish breakfast in Ireland! I got the godfather and it was perfectly portioned, comes with tea, and I just love how thick the hash browns are here. This restaurant is bustling with locals and very busy. There’s indoor and outdoor seating, but outdoor is much more limited.

31/08/2025: Delicious and filling meal! We started off arriving 30 mins late after a problem with our car, but staff were very accommodating. Settled in to the tasting menu and everything was gorgeous and perfectly cooked. They adjusted nicely when one guest had intolerance to cream. Was expecting to leave hungry after some reviews but was completely full at the end - particularly after the focacia and almond cake. Fish course was particular highlight, lamb dish slightly salty for my taste. Overall would highly recommend - specifically to have tasting menu as dont think would be as worthwhile to have a la carte.

15/09/2025: Fabulous hotel. Our room was spectacular and the service was exceptional. Will only ever stay at the Hayfield Manor for future trips.5 Star is truly deserved!!

14/09/2025: Spa is great Rooms ok, TV did not work and was no shower gel and shampoo at the arrival, but they fixed it. Overall, good hotel but overrated Bar needs the upgrade Food is good Staff are friendly and helpful Luck of fresh air in the bar and restaurant Breakfast is good

22/09/2025: The weather wasn't great but the food here was!!! We learned that if you don't eat before 6, you'll have to wait until after 830...but that's true everywhere. Cute place, worth stopping by:)

16/08/2025: We went on a team night out and the place and atmosphere of this place is class. It might look very small at the outside but very big on the inside.Their servers was very approachable and accommodating as well. Food was ok for me. I would say my expectations were a little bit not met. For a 30-40 euro steak, I would have expected that the steak is at least seasoned which was not. The sharing platter as well was a little bit small for me. I expected at least a couple of meats and more cheese on a meat and cheese board but as you can see on the picture that’s their sharing board and you can see on the menu how much that is. My teammates enjoyed their veggie board and they were delighted with the taste. Their desert was great as well. Overall still a good experience. Just get your wallets ready as food can be pricey.

12/09/2025: One of tje best culinary experiences I've had in a while. I always thought that the sister restaurant, market lane is the best, but this one is right up there if not better. Food is excellent and so extraordinary. The tastes, not your usual ones, are something that I'll be thinking for a long time after. Super noce and friendly staff. And no need to talk about the surrounding. Highly recommended!

12/09/2025: We recently held lunch after a Christening in the Castle Cafe. The staff were very helpful beforehand and very attentive on the day. Food was delicious. We were given a section of the cafe to allow for buggies and highchairs. Really appreciated the helpfulness of the staff. Many thanks.

20/09/2025: Toxic work environment for waiting staff on display during our most recent visit. Food was lovely. 5 stars for our young female waitress. Overall 4 for service, due to her colleague. Our waitress was spot on, every dietary request was correct. A young friendly absolute lady, knowledgeable on the menu, attentive. Great at her job. An older male waiter (with possibly an auz accent) seemed to consider himself humorous but was actually obnoxious twice in comments. The overall 1 star rating is due to the female supervisor, during our visit on August 23rd 2025. She walked around with a pompous attitude. Not once did she check in to ask any table of customers if their food/service was satisfactory. She scolded our fabulous waitress for going to the rest room. This was done at the bar counter, in full earshot of a room of customers. Asking loudly and harshly, 'are you sick, you have to tell me if your sick, I've never seen someone go to the toilet so much during a shift... '. As noted, this waitress was attentive, friendly, efficient. The supervisors behaviour was totally unacceptable and an absolute disgrace, showing the toxic work environment for the waiting staff. In my opinion, a power hungry supervisor, an excuse for a human, more concerned with herself than the staff, customers or reputation of the White Horse. The waitress was visibly upset, trying to hide her unease for the rest of our time there. White Horse owner(s), please take effective efficient action. A supervisor should have at the very least basic customer service skills and basic human decency. Tolerating this toxicity, will not only damage your reputation and business, but more so the health of your employees, to whom you owe a duty of care. We have had many positive experiences through the years, so hope this feedback is taken seriously and is actioned.

13/09/2025: Tried here while staying at a nearby hotel, short taxi ride there, food was decent, not a lot of atmosphere in the place,however the biggest problem was, asking the waitress to order us a taxi for return to hotel to be greeted with a blunt NO WE CANT DO THAT,no further info offered, really stuck, strange place, not able to walk to hotel, no help, until a kind younger person ( heard our dilemma & came to our rescue )offered us a phone number, rang number,taxi arrived problem solved.THANK YOU NOTfir your help,maybe an A4 note at bar with a couple of taxi nos. might help,terrible service & really spoilt a pleasant evening

26/09/2025: I booked in a massive gang of us for a pre wedding celebration and was just so impressed with the food and the service and the atmosphere and really every aspect of the night. One of our guests has missed their train and was running late which was no bother to the attentive staff who served him as soon as he arrived. They also looked after the one child in attendance. Really, everything kind of went perfectly and I would highly highly recommend this spot for parties or nights out or anything in between.

21/09/2025: Honestly, we're used to Angus or Wagyu T-bones, but we were disappointed with their T-bones.... hard to cut, to the point of having to use a second knife... cooked well, but not worth the price of 45 euros.... The salmon was good, as was the dessert and the cocktails. The coffee was too acidic for my taste. It's rare to be disappointed....

11/08/2025: We have played golf ⛳️ only on a outstanding course. Excellent service at the golfcourse reception and the restaurant. We played the deer course, compliments for the greenkeeping team. Highly recommended to visit and play golf ⛳️
