The best restaurantsof irish in Cork

01/09/2025: We have been eating in Marcellos since it opened. It's such a shame to see how much this once lovely restaurant has deteriorated. The whole place looks grubby and our food last night was well below par. We were a party of 7, 2 of whom could not eat their mains. This was very obvious to the staff but not once we're we asked if our food was OK, because, quite honestly, they could clearly see that it wasn't. My brother , who barely took a few bites, even said it to the waiter and he got absolutely 0 response, my daughter's plate returned almost full as she couldn't eat hers either and again, nothing made of it at all. We didn't make a fuss as it was my mum's birthday but I am so disappointed with the whole experience. We will not be returning and as I've said, we've been loyal patrons since they 1st opened their doors. There was one waitress who was trying her best, but the remaining staff couldn't have cared less, neither could the owner/ manager. A complete let down!

10/09/2025: A group of 12 of us enjoyed a really nice evening meal in Barry's, food was excellent and the service was second to none. I would highly recommend a visit!

02/10/2025: We stayed two nights at The Montenotte in September 2025. Rooms are nicely decorated and very quiet with views of Cork and harbor. The restaurant is beautiful but food is just average for the price. The Glasshouse bar was exceptional with excellent servers and bartenders.

08/10/2024: Favorite chip shop of mine over more than a decade of visiting Cork on occasion. With that said my last visit a few weeks ago ended up with them giving me the wrong order that I did not realize was the case until long away from the shop. Chicken supper instead of the Cod Supper that I ordered. It was still good but it sad that I didn't get one last Cod Supper before they shut down for good this past weekend.

06/07/2025: It is what it is. Has not changed in years which is great as your guaranteed to be wwll fed and watered. The seats are a bit tightly compacted for let's say a private chatter, but I still love it as it is

11/06/2025: I always struggle to order here as everything is delicious. Chose the dish al forno today and it was heavenly. Can't fault it.

28/09/2025: bouncers are abusive and such bad reputations. We had to go to the guards to get a drivers license back and they lied about the terms of refusal. They swear at young women, lie, steal and cheat. Avoid at all costs unless they fire the northern irish bouncer

17/09/2025: Very friendly attentive service! Huge selection of whiskey and delicious beer.
