21/12/2024: Cocktails were putrid literally the worst cocktail I’ve ever had, the staff agreed and graciously substituted it with a beer but we came for a last drink after a meal and it was very disappointing
21/12/2024: Came in after a meal for one drink before heading home. Got two cocktails. Both undrinkable. We have both worked in cocktails bars for years and have never tasted drinks this bad. We had to wait approx 20 minutes for said cocktails as well in a quiet. Had to get pints of beer instead. The servers were brilliant, cannot fault them, but who ever is on cocktails hasn't a bulls notion what they're doing. Won't be returning unfortunately.

11/12/2024: Hadn’t visited for a while so decided to return. Lucky to get in the door because they closed at nine sharp and turned the lights out. Ordered chips which were plentiful, Chicken goujons that were tough and chewy , Curry sauce that was lukewarm, Peas that were the same. Very expensive. Having washed the film of Greece from my mouth, I decided I won’t be back.
17/11/2024: Visité el Golden Fry por primera vez en lo que fue un sábado por la noche ocupado. Los dos caballeros detrás del mostrador tienen un muy buen sistema y la línea se movió de una manera rápida y ordenada.
Tenía un cuarto de libra con queso y tocino y unas patatas fritas y curry.
El caballero que toma pagos fue muy amable y muy amablemente añadió un pastel de patata gratis cuando le dije que era mi primera vez aquí. Almohada tarta de patata y probablemente la mejor salsa de curry en Cork. La calidad de la carne de la hamburguesa era muy muy buena. Gracias chicos, sin duda volveré.

01/12/2024: After finding out about it from a Polish friend I dropped in. The food is amazing, that real homemade taste that raises the question of why I didn’t come sooner.
Introduced me to a host of delicious Polish food (including Pierogi’s) I can highly recommend it to anyone who wants something properly filling with a taste that will have you back for more.
05/11/2024: The sign of a good café is that it’s almost always full. There is ample parking in the centre but the area near Comix is busy always.
The coffee is great if you just want to pop in for one. We did and when we saw what other diners were eating we decided to visit for a meal. The chicken was excellent, the full Irish breakfast also.
We’ve been back twice and will visit again.
Price reasonable quality excellent.

05/11/2024: We had a very short, but enjoyable stay at this beautiful hotel on Saturday the 2th of November. From start to finish our stay was great, from the company of our own group, to the excellent staff, amazing food, and comfortable and beautifully decorated rooms.
I would highly recommend this hotel, and I hope to have the pleasure of staying in the future.
31/10/2024: Had a meal there recently..Food was good but a bit on the exspensive side considering the portion size..The desert was tiny..
Also had drinks at the bar and found the bar very exspensive also

25/11/2024: Haven't been to the Elm Tree in years. Food was gorgeous,atmosphere was electric,people getting into the swing of Christmas. The Christmas trees & lights both inside & out are fab. You'd really need to book in advance,we hadn't & were waiting 40mins for a table. Once we ordered,the food came out fairly quickly.

30/11/2024: I've been going there for years. They used to have a choice of beer but now it's only one Italian beer on draft. No more local IPAs. Will not be returning until this changes. How hard is it to stock a few bottles of local IPA. Never mind the taste but surely ye should be supporting Kinsale or Cottonball instead of Italian breweries???
26/11/2024: Lovely food. Very busy, took a while to get our food, but worth the wait.

02/12/2024: Called here for lunch with the family Sunday..all I can say is WOW...nicest meal we've had in a long time..cant praise the staff enough..went above & beyond..and so friendly.. We will definitely be calling again soon!
14/11/2024: Tried the new Breakfast menu here last weekend and it was delicious, both of us got the full brook and we couldn’t fault it, plenty to share with our toddler who loves the brook too! The staff were lovely as always and we thought the price was reasonable considering most other places charge similar plus extra for tea/coffee. Looking forward to going back!

24/11/2024: Tourist trap! 8.50 euros for a mulled wine per glass, we payed 18 euros which is unjustified when u know that they sell carafe (500 ml) for around 13 euros… paying their electricity bill for heating up a normal glass of wine. Lol If you want a better experience in a nice authentic bar, go to the Shelbourne Bar for an amazing glass of mulled wine and times cheaper.
20/11/2024: Only had drinks, Baileys coffee and an Irish coffee. Both were very good and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They helped recommend a nice place for us to eat (Market Lane) for our 25th anniversary and ensured we knew right where it was and how to get there.

10/11/2024: We had s lovely breakfast . I was with a group of 5 people. The food was lovely . My poached egg was perfect and runny . Like they are supposed to be. It was comforting and there was no rush. Very good value for money . I had been there before for later food . I did find a bit more expensive than I thought it would be. Considering the time etc. but I will return for sure.

21/08/2024: Of all the pubs I've been to in Cork, this one was the most atmospheric, authentic and Irish. Great service, very polite. Completely out of the way, away from the center, but the atmosphere of the "locals" is great.
