24/08/2025: Virginia and Adrae were the most attentive hosts. Excellent service. The food was beautiful and the cocktails delicious. My hasband and I were over the moon with our choice to dine here!

19/08/2025: Visited with family recently for a celebration. Hadn't been to this restaurant for many years and its just as good as I remember. Everyone was blown away by the food. The atmosphere is so unique and warm, and Daniel is just the perfect host. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to visit again.

23/08/2025: The excellent reviews are well deserved .We had a meal here ,an early bird ,before heading to the National Concert Hall. We had a great experience , with excellent service and food which was quality .Absolutely loved the BBQ ribs .Would go back again just for these . The staff were attentive and very pleasant adding to the whole dining experience . Will be back .

04/09/2025: Beautiful fish stew, really tasty focaccia brought after we ordered, the service was very friendly and capable, the atmosphere was buzzy on a Wednesday night. We really enjoyed it.

19/07/2025: We had our intimate civil wedding at the school house. I honestly cannot rate it highly enough. Everything was absolutely perfect. The events director Laura made everything effortless from our first contact she responded quickly, allowed us make edits to our set menu, and organized our hotel rooms for guest with different needs. Everything was so well organized and communicated to us so we could relax on the day. On the actual day, the food and staff were amazing! Everyone especially the bartenders were fantastic taking care of orders and checking in regularly for refills and cleaning off tables. And while the actual wedding was perfect, the rooms themselves were wonderful and cozy for us and all of our guests. So comfy and spacious for getting ready. I would highly recommend the School House to anyone looking to celebrate their special occasion.

04/09/2025: Definitely a local’s place but in a good way. Next to the Glasnevin cemetery and easy walk through the cemetery to the Botanic gardens.

03/09/2025: The Gravediggers is Dublins brightest shining gem. Its a beautifully maintained, traditional country pub which has remained true to form long after Dublins suburbs expanded to envelop it. This pub is absolutely drenched in atmosphere. Beautiful darkwood floorboards and wood pannelled snugs draw the eye down the bar through to a fireplace; a gorgeous feature which was often used in winters past. In the summer, patrons can drink their pints in the sun at the gates of Glasnevin Cemetery. The staff are amazing, the Guinness is by far the best the city has to offer...this is easily my favorite pub in Dublin. No question.

06/09/2025: Canadian couple dropped in while staying write down the street from the Hampton Hotel in Downtown Dublin the food was excellent and the service was even better. Nice local young man complete with the poor boy hot and great accent served us with exemplary style and was very entertaining. Highly recommend if you're visiting

09/09/2025: Darkey Kelly's is an absolute gem in the heart of Dublin. The pub has a fantastic, welcoming atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The live traditional Irish music is a major highlight, with talented musicians playing lively sets that get everyone's feet tapping. The staff are incredibly friendly and provide excellent service, adding to the genuine, warm "craic" of the place. It’s the perfect spot to experience authentic Irish pub culture, whether you’re a local or a tourist. A definite must-visit for a true Dublin experience.

04/09/2025: Nice Guinness and great to have a drink outside whilst the suns out! A bit crowded and musty inside though but I also feel that’s pubs everywhere in Dublin.

10/08/2025: We had a beautiful lunch here sitting outside on a sunny Sunday. The young waitress that served us was exceptional. Her personalised service was an impressive combination of attentiveness and professionalism. The French onion soup to start was beautifully prepared. The food is reasonably priced for the superb quality. Very impressive wine list with some unique wines not found in your usual restaurant menu, especially served by the glass. One of the best meals I have had in years. I still think about it a couple of weeks later and will be back very soon.

10/08/2025: Today at lunchtime, I stopped by to have a seafood chowder. Unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations — it was oversalted, watery, with no thickening, and had very little fish or seafood, but quite a lot of fatty pieces of pork. I chose not to eat it, and to their credit, they kindly did not charge me. I hope the recipe can be improved.

17/08/2025: Traditional Irish fare with an emphasis on fish never fails. Also serves well prepared duck, pies, and burgers. The pub is Victorian with an eclectic group calling it its local. Highly recommend.
