First of all, absolutely every dish is amazing. I've been here a couple of times, and it's always the best, rich flavour, super fresh ingredients, stunning presentation.
The service is very good and the atmosphere is friendly and casual, which is a great combination with fine food.
Definitely worth the money. Will return and recommend.
P.S. The warm Guinness bread is amazing.

21/10/2024: I celebrated my 40th birthday in the private dining room upstairs. It was absolutely perfect for an intimate party, with wonderful service, great food and beautiful wines. The cocktails were delicious too. I would highly recommend Ely for a special occasion.

Wine was ok - nothing special which was disappointing since this place specialises on wine
The food tho… that did not taste good, unfortunately. We ordered a cheese plate and 2 small plates which were terrible to the point where I got stomach aches
Overall the amazing stuff made it a nice experience but I won’t be coming back due to the points listed above which don’t match the price

19/10/2024: We stopped in last minute and had the most amazing dinner. We were served by Nadia and she was an absolute delight. She was so incredibly sweet. The food was so delicious. Hats off to the chefs! We will come back again for sure and highly recommend this restaurant.
15/10/2024: I had a fabulous dinner at PHX Bistro. The food was delicious, featuring a refreshing pear salad, a rich wild mushroom risotto, and a decadent praline brownie for dessert. The wine recommendation complemented the meal perfectly. Additionally, the service was impeccable; the manager was very attentive, checking in on me with each course to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience.

27/10/2024: Wow! Wow! Wow! Not sure how this hadn't been on my radar before. Chefs kiss perfection from start to finish. I don't even know where to start because everything was 100 pct on point. Start with sparking wine and the pick a bottle from their amazing very good value wine list and finish with cocktails or specialty cocktails. The appetizers and mains were absolutely perfect... Incl the salad with is often and afterthought in Dublin. Do order 1 chips for every 2 ppl and the saute veg was crisp and delicious. Highly recommend! Can't wait to go back. My new Dublin fav. Place

17/10/2024: The Gravediggers aka Kavanagh’s is an excellent pub worth checking out for its really great Guinness and old world charm. I can’t fault it except to say this - its claim to serve the best Guinness in Dublin - and therefore the world - is not accurate. No pub in Dublin or anywhere else can make such a claim because this is a subjective judgement that can and will change. Nonetheless it’s a pub worth visiting all the more so because of its obvious proximity to Glasnevin cemetery and the history this place has for anyone even remotely interested in Irish culture and history.

Good staff, nice food and decent prices depends on the economy or ireland..
16/10/2024: So sorry to hear this place is closing, although looking forward to see what it re-emerges as. One of the best Brunches in Dublin.

06/11/2024: Had a nice meal with my sister, I had slow cooked pork, while tender and well presented, something was lacking, my sisters had the best burger ever and prawn and pasta was was also lovely, service excellent, lovely staff. I had a banoffee pie for dessert, lovely presentation, unfortunately too much caramel, banana finly chopped you could just about taste it. Would be lovely if the balance was right. Saying that will definitely go back
22/10/2024: Our favourite meal out, while staying in Dalkey. We dropped by without a reservation and we were quickly shown to a table in the window. Despite it being a Monday evening in October, it was great to see the restaurant busy and buzzing with atmosphere.
Both food and service were excellent. I was particularly pleased with the separate vegetarian/vegan menu; normally I find I'm limited to one 'choice' and here I had several.
A great dining experience all round.
