29/12/2024: We had a really lovely meal here and couldn't fault the food, service or atmosphere. It was a most enjoyable meal. However, we did feel the menu let it down - the starters of celeriac, trout or rabbit were all a little 'out there' and it would have been nice to see a more classic option. We chose snacks instead and thoroughly enjoyed them. No issue with the mains but again, dessert options could have been more varied - both the pumpkin pie and date pudding were very cake-like options. Something lighter would have appealed. In saying that, we enjoyed both and would return to Richmond again.

19/12/2024: We arrived for our booking and our table wasn't ready, we had to wait. On top of that, we waited 45 minutes for the starter, which was tasty but it was the size of an overgrown grape. The mains were ok, but the duck wasn't the best. The best part of the meal were the desserts. Overall, service was slow, noise too loud, price too high for what we got. Rather go to Library St or Spitafields.

06/01/2025: Came here 2 nights. Food is great, recommend fish and chips, seafood chowder, and burger. Bands are always good with full crowd and good beers.

06/01/2025: The best pub in Dublin, very good atmosphere with live music, people sing and dance and it is quite fun, the beer is very tasty and quite well priced for Dublin. I recommend the beef with Guiness sauce, plus the waiters are always attentive to serve you another beer even though it is a very busy place. Better go soon!!

10/01/2025: On the recommendation of Kieran on the Dark Dublin tour, we went to Gravediggers for dinner. With our Bulmers, we enjoyed coddle, potato soup, Irish spring rolls, and Padron peppers. All of it was delicious!

02/01/2025: Went for food with family ordered 2 potatoes soup,tasteless worse soup ever no flavour , Mac and cheese swimming in grease wouldn’t give it to a dog , coddle poor water with cocktail sausages and the smallest ribs I’ve ever seen never had worse food . Can’t even give 1 star as complained to staff she didn’t care less as for the chef standing at the bar drinking food was left on the table nobody was concerned all the cared about was payment

07/01/2025: We were there on New Year's Eve and made reservations in advance. We were there a little early, but we were still able to sit down straight away. The food tasted very good. It was just a shame that the Shepperds Pie was already sold out because that was the only reason we were there. Bangers and Mash were still very good. The brown bread was very dry and crumbly and was a bit disappointing. The ambience was exactly what you would imagine in an Irish pub. The toilets were in good condition and the service was courteous. All in all almost 5 stars

08/01/2025: The reason I love coming back here every time is because this restaurant always has delicious food and good atmosphere! Today was no different. I ordered a lovely hot chocolate, soup and “the Italian hero” ciabatta and found the service to be great. I was seen right away and food delivered on time. Will be back!

05/01/2025: Had such a lovely evening at DeVille's. Hard to get a booking but you can see why! This is such a gem for foodies. The hostess was such a pleasure and really looked after us and the other guests. Waiters were knowledgeable about the menu and wine to recommend. Just such a wonderful experience. Thank you!

31/12/2024: Returned here for a meal on December 27th - there has been a marked improvement in the menu (separate vegan/vegetarian menu with expanded options) and a great choice of meat dishes for starters and mains. Devilled kidneys were a treat and beef bourgignon delicious, if serving a bit small (could have used more on dish vegetables). Staff extremely knowledgeable about food and drinks menus, always a sign of excellent training and low turnover. Only regret not taking photos of the food. Fantastic to see a restaurant take feedback on board as had previously remarked vegetarian options needed.

03/12/2024: Beautiful food and lovely calm atmosphere. Staff so pleasant and helpful one of my family group of four found it difficult to find parking in Maynooth and although we didn't order our lunch until after 3pm as a result they were so understanding and didn't rush us. We had a super happy catch-up thank you so much and I would definitely recommend.

28/12/2024: The barman told my 80 year old dad he had to sit on a stool in the upstairs bar rather than a chair because the chairs couldn't be moved or swapped from tables

23/12/2024: Amazingly decorated, great food, very polite and likeable staff and a big shout out to a lovely waiter we had called Wiel from Syria who was a gentleman and thoroughly enjoyed chatting to him alongside the excellent service he gave. Can't wait to go back again!

22/12/2024: Family reunion dinner in the Garden Room. First time we’re were altogether in a long time. Service was exceptional. The menu catered for everyone and included some seasonal favourites. We all had something different and everyone was happy. It was busy but staff still had time to check in, to pour wine as needed, Service was observant but unobtrusive. The lamb was delicious, sea bass superb, turkey and ham was enjoyed as was steak. Deserts were too many to choose from. We have had lovely dinners in the Garden Room in the past and it is our preferred restaurant in Dublin and yet again it was perfection. Thank you.

12/01/2025: Excellent experience here. The staff were all welcoming, and explained each dish well as it was presented. Warm and modern interior. The food itself was absolutely delicious, in particular the sea food dishes. My only criticism would be the first three "courses" make up the snack element of the meal. And while it is a nine course tasting menu because of this I was still a little hungry at the end. But overall gold value for money in a Michelin dining experience and would recommend visiting.

06/01/2025: In December, my husband and I ate our first Michelin star dinner at Bastible. The restaurant operates exclusively on a set system. The winter menu consists of nine elegant servings and costs €105 per person. The portion size is in the best fine dining traditions, but by the end of dinner we left the restaurant very full. It all started with freshly baked sourdough bread with seeds and fermented butter. It sounds simple, but very tasty! The already luxurious tart with oysters, fermented celery and cucumber was supplemented with black caviar. Next was the perfect combination of marinated sea bream with horseradish, grapefruit and carrots. The slight spice, tartness of citrus fruits and the sweetness of carrots surprisingly did not distract from the fish but, on the contrary, complemented it. I'm not a fan of scallops, much less with rutabaga, sake and chard, but in places like this you have complete trust in the chef and, as a rule, you are not disappointed. Wild halibut fillet with shrimp and clam sauce is a delicate dish with a marine character. The next two dishes are difficult to explain, so I had to turn to the Internet: Custard mushroom cream with stewed short rib and soubise sauce based on onions, cream and butter; Japanese sika deer fillet, crapaudine beets and ruby ​​port. I don’t mind rare meat, so I was able to appreciate the dish. Finally there were two desserts: Caramelized apple, vanilla, praline and milk cream and quin amman with chamomile and walnut. Cooking techniques, ingredients, service, presentation, contingent - everything corresponds to the level of the establishment. This pleasure is not cheap, but for a fundamentally new gastronomic experience and a special occasion in life it is definitely worth a visit. For an additional 80€ per person you can order a wine accompaniment, but we don’t drink alcohol, so we didn’t take advantage of it and have nothing to say.
