13/08/2025: A restaurant on the road to/from Galway, with a fairly traditional atmosphere and mostly frequented by locals. The food isn't the best, and the service is friendly but slow and quite noisy.

23/07/2025: This place was once a highlight for eating on the way from Donegal to Galway but is in serious need of spending a little bit of money on basic maintenance outside especially to improve its appearance and "kerb appeal" . Food is still quiet good but offering let down by litter outside and signage with letters hanging off.
03/07/2025: Had a great time at The West Wing! The waitress, Amber, was super friendly and full of positive energy — really made the experience even better.

Outside area to eat with plenty of tables and cover from sun. Service was excellent. Staff were very polite and friendly. Food was very good.

06/08/2025: This is a classic Supermac's restaurant that has a varied and tasty menu compared to the big rival that is currently in a trademark dispute with the owners.
This particular restaurant in Gort, despite the small size, is clean, serves up the food quickly, and kids especially like it. It's in a great spot in the centre of Gort.
Only thing is that according to the website there's no deliveries from here.
Other than that, it's an excellent place.
18/07/2025: Had the good fortune to stop in Gort on our way home from Co. Clare. We were greeted by a very pleasant and helpful lady. My mam is on a wheelchair and she couldn't be more helpful. Sorry I didn't get here name. The food was fresh and tasty. Ww were served by a young man who was friendly. Highly recommend this place and we will be back again.

The Beach, Days Bar and B&B
25/07/2025: Five stars due to having THREE vegan options on the menu! Had the excellent vegan pizza one evening and came back the next night for beetroot burger. After years of being vegan in Ireland, I never expect to be able to eat more than a bowl of chips and a side salad, so this was an amazing and delicious surprise. Had a few pints of the White Cow pale ale brewed on the island. Spacious pub, beautiful inside and out (picnic tables right on the water when the weather is cooperating) and lovely staff. Wonderful spot and look forward to returning in the future.
24/07/2025: Thanks to all the staff for a fabulous couple of nights last week. We love our trips to Boffin and are always made to feel very welcome. Hotel rooms are perfect, breakfast is excellent. We love the bar, the music and the craic.

31/08/2025: Visited 27th Aug, for an evening meal. Very disappointed, given option veg OR potato, with Seabass Special, unheard of!! Wait staff could not explain reason.
29/08/2025: Stopped here on our way through and just wanted a coffee and maybe a cake at 2:30 in the afternoon.
All the tables outside had reserved signs. We sat down anyway, the entire place was empty.
The waiter was standing right in the entrance and saw us.
I went in anyway and asked if we had to order inside. I was told very clearly and sternly that we had to come inside first, otherwise we wouldn't be seen. Conclusion: OK coffee, good location, abysmal friendliness. We haven't experienced anything like it in all of Ireland.
P.S.: There are busy cafes around the corner – perhaps a sign? (Unfortunately, we saw this too late.)

14/08/2025: Terrible! After we ordered, they told us the place would close early (25 minutes earlier), so they put everything in a box and made us leave.
When I asked about the time change, they replied, "We've been here since 6:30."
...well... honestly, I don't change closing time once the order has been taken! Let them know first!!
I strongly advise against it!!!
12/08/2025: Fantastic local cafe with great service, staff friendly and professional. Swift service. Locals eat here, highlight for food in Cong for sure. Parking nearby. Don't forget to check out the ducks!

04/08/2025: We stayed for a night in a family room and we really enjoyed our visit. The room was very big with a king size bed, two singles and loads of space for kids to play etc. breakfast was very nice. We spent a lovely Sunday morning playing with Johnno the dog on the lawn out the front of the hotel.

05/09/2025: Fantastic service - ordered a specific type of cake at short notice after trying several other bakers for my wife’s birthday to bake the cake and the staff were so accommodating and understanding the quality of cake was unbelievable would highly recommend and looking forward to going back again very soon.
11/07/2025: I ordered a Fresh Cream cake for a birthday online based on reviews. It was BY FAR the freshest and most delicious fresh cream cake we have ever had. Hands down we can's wait for the next birthday to try the another of their cakes!
