28/02/2025: Wonder accommodation.friendly family run hotel and a great restaurant We stayed overnight and could not ask for a warmer welcome. Convenient to Shannon Airport and Galway City.

19/02/2025: We had a wonderful experience at Sulivans Royal Hotel restaurant. The food was excellent: fresh, wel cooked and authentically Irish. My salmon was declicious and my husband's steak was out of this world. The service was personable, welcoming and they could not have taken better care of us. I recommend it without reservation. Don't miss it!

02/02/2025: Food like all supermacs can be very hit and miss. Any time I've been there lately the seating areas have been a mess. They are terrible for ignoring the phone, even when they are not busy. I have been hung up on plenty of times

19/11/2024: Ordered a cake for our mom’s 80th birthday dinner, the cake was described as ‘best ever in life’. Also ordered gluten free cupcakes and they were delicious. Can’t recommend Ann and the White Gables team enough, the food and service is incredible. A definite must for any occasion. Have ordered breads, cupcakes, cake and hampers from White Gables, 10/10 every time. Thank you Ann and team.

14/10/2024: We stopped here on a pub tour I'd organised for me wife's 40th. Jessica was really accommodating in planning this in advance and had an area out the back for us. She arranged food to be ordered in for us also. Lovely turf fire at the front bar too. Definitely recommend.

10/11/2024: We arrived late to stay in airbnb in portmagee and our host mentioned three places around for a late sunday dinner. We did not have high expectations. After looking at all three places we chose Moorings because, surprisingly, it looked packed. The wait for table was pleasantly short and we chose beef stew and shellfish bisque. What a treat it was. Like Elaine Benes i am a sucker for bisque and that one was on par with the best i sampled. Beef stew was also very good. Congratulations to the chef and the restaurant attentive staff. Well done

06/11/2024: There are not many options in Portmagee during the off season, so we were very pleased with the quality of offerings in The Moorings. It has a large and varied regular menu as well as some very good specials. The food is excellent as is the service. My sister and I both had the seafood chowder as a starter and planned on sharing the goat cheese salad from the specials menu as our main. The chowder was so rich and plentiful that we never got around to the salad. My husband had the spinach and cheese tortellini and raved about it. My nephew had the seafood platter which was also excellent. My husband and I went back later in the week and had trouble choosing what to order. I don’t think you can go wrong with whatever you order at The Moorings.

24/10/2024: Went there for coffee only, no food There were 2 of us, my friends Coffee was lukewarm and .y triple shot tasted just the coffee side of warm milk. Don't think we will go back in a hurryò

15/09/2024: A very nice place besides the river. The staff is super attentive, and the coffee is excellent. They also have a small shop with various products.

17/03/2025: Second time I've ordered delivery from this place. Said id give it another chance. Food was freezing when it arrived over an hour late. . 1.45 from when it was ordered. Simple order of 2 kids means which arrived again with no toy and no juice. No point on complaining to driver. Not his fault. Pathetic service really

06/03/2025: That’s frustrating, especially when you specifically asked for it rare. A rare steak should have a cool, red center and be seared on the outside—definitely not overcooked. If they’ve messed it up twice, it’s likely the chef either doesn’t know how to cook rare steak properly or isn’t taking your request seriously.

13/01/2025: Llegamos en un momento ocupado, pero nos dieron mesa bastante rápido en realidad. Luego hemos elegido del menú y la comida llegó lo suficientemente rápido! Pedí la ensalada de remolacha con mandarina y queso feta. Las mandarinas estaban encendidas como el naranja. La remolacha estaba en el borde y ligeramente viscosa! ¡Apenas sin aderezo, en pocas palabras fue una decepción! Cuando el camarero le preguntó si todo estaba bien, le hablé de los problemas. Se disculpó y se ofreció a pedir una nueva ensalada. Perdí el apetito y digo que ya no tengo hambre. En lugar de limpiar mi plato que dejó el plato delante de mí hasta que dejamos el restaurante! no estoy seguro de qué pensar en eso para ser honesto! Para ser justos, lo quitó de la factura, pero no me apresuraré a volver pronto.

11/12/2024: Tuve otra experiencia increíble a los doce. Tanto la comida como el servicio era exquisito. Recomiendo encarecidamente este lugar especialmente para las familias. Nuestro servidor Louise era tan entusiasta y encantador para nosotros y los niños. Sin duda volveré.

20/12/2024: Got new look fish and chips a while back. Fish absolutely rank. Just noticed it is now advertised as fish and chips. Not cod and chips. As in supermacs in Dolans.This fish is not cod. Some cheap rubbish.

22/02/2025: Had a snack box meal.... Chicken very dry,chips ok.curry sauce bland... Not impressed

06/12/2024: Ordered festive 5oz. Got normal 5oz with a bit of mayo... Travel a lot and this one is the worst supermacs in country.
