04/04/2024: Wonderful! Very kind, perfect and welcoming room with breathtaking view. A la carte breakfast I would say was unexpected and very good. Highly recommended.

04/04/2024: We were there in early January for lunch, and both fancied the seafood chowder. We have eaten here on several occasions, especially when our kids were younger, and found things fine. I said I would allow enough time to settle myself before giving a review. We are both now almost 60 years of age and have travelled widely, sampling food from all over. Sorry to say that this must be the most unappetising chowder I have ever been served up. A grey, gooey mess that had been reheated (the filmy layer on top is a giveaway). We will be slow to return. Such a pity for a nice gastropub in such a lovely location.

25/02/2024: Went here for Sunday lunch. The most miserable serving of roast beef I’ve ever seen. Would not feed a mouse. 23.50 and I left the place starving.

25/02/2024: The food was excellent. Fresh and full of flavour. The staff were so accommodating and nothing was to much trouble. We'll definitely be back.

21/03/2024: The food was really nice, staff friendly. The only downside was the temperature in the room, it was a little bit cold. In another room they had a fireplace and it looked nice but the room we were in didn’t have one, it was a really rainy day and I would have loved to eat in a warm room.

20/03/2024: The cafe was wonderful! The view is incredible, staff are so friendly. I had the smoked salmon salad for lunch. They have nice coffees too.

28/10/2023: We had a wonderful stay here in June 2023 with our family. The views and food were amazing. Rooms were lovely and so was the staff. Wish we had stayed longer. This was our ‘family favorite’ hotel of all the places we stayed while in Ireland.

09/01/2024: The chicken burger is up there with the best I've ever had in Ireland. Definitely the best I've ever had in the west! If driving through Oughterard and fancy an epic Chicken burger, do yourself a favour and stop at the Boat Inn. Chips are nicely cooked and tasty too. Highly recommend.

03/02/2024: With the good reviews we decided we would go to the Gallery Cafe for lunch. Googled the opening times and it said open. Got there and a sign on the door saying closed.

24/01/2024: I really enjoyed my visit to Finns Restaurant with my 3 friends, on Friday evening 12th January. Staff were very welcoming and helpful, with a lovely friendly atmosphere from once you go in the door. The food was really delicious with a great choice of starters, main courses and desserts to suit all our tastes. Looking forward to returning soon. 5 stars from me ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨

25/02/2024: Was in for a quick order of takeaway, food is usually hot and fresh, although this time we thought chips and wings weren't... But my review isn't on food , but about the staff member that served me. Unfortunately didn't see his name, a young man, with wavy semi long hair, extremely polite and helpful. Have to say it's rarely these days to see a person his generation actually being bothered doing their job well,and he did ,and more. That was Sunday 25th February, around 1pm.

03/04/2024: The hotel is nice, room was comfortable and warm (maybe too warm for us? we cut the heating and opened windows). The hotel has good facilities with swimming pool and offer a discount for the kardio kids, they had good fun there, wasn’t crowded at all and is located in the hotel. The kids had a small bag and a chocolate in the bedroom + a free hot chocolate which looked amazing! (All was included in a Easter offer). The kids club was really appreciated by kids (and parents) and the staff did a good job with them keeping them entertained in a good atmosphere. I would definitely recommend for families with kids. We had food in the bar, was good as you can expect from a pub restaurant. It was kept very clean with staff always active to keep it clean in all the details. Breakfast was a buffet so could have as much as wanted with a fair choice of Irish breakfast and cereals, patisserie etc… Thank you for welcoming us, I would definitely return with the family!

15/03/2024: All day breakfast is always very nice , freshly cooked and toast is warm and butter is hard (the little things)and coffee is good ....staff are friendly.

10/03/2024: The food was a major let down. Some of the most unseasoned and overpriced (for the quality and portion size you get) food we've had. Three of us had completely different dishes, and none of us were happy with it. The sea bass came with three overcooked pieces of dry shrimp, and a whole 3 baby potatoes, with a "butter and white wine" sauce that tasted of citrus flavoured oil. The steak burger was more of a plain beef burger, again very unseasoned.
