21/08/2026: All amazing! Cannot recommend enough!

20/08/2026: We stopped at Ann McDonald’s for breakfast on our way to Cork after reading some lovely reviews, and I’m so glad we decided to give it a try! The breakfast was cooked fresh and absolutely delicious, with lots of different options to choose from, including a vegetarian option for me and a whole pancake menu which the little ones loved. Anne was so lovely and accommodating, especially as my daughter has a very limited diet and would only eat chips. I explained this when we arrived and it was absolutely no problem at all. She was so understanding, and my daughter was very happy with her chips! Thank you, Anne, for such a lovely and welcoming visit. We’ll definitely call in again when we’re in the area!

09/09/2026: Where to even start! The food was absolutely incredible. The menu is extensive but they do it all very well. The seafood is amazing. Hands down the best place around for seafood at least. Everything cooked to perfection. A gem of a restaurant. The staff is so nice and attentive. I had a lovely cocktail. The atmosphere is great. Plenty of free parking. Can't wait to go back. My friend and I went on a Tuesday for dinner and decided to make a reservation...not sure if it was needed but it was pretty busy.

01/08/2026: We went for dinner with the family for the Friday Indian Night and it was absolutely incredible. We were treated to a selection of Indian dishes, from starters and mains to desserts, and every single one was unbelievable. You can genuinely tell how much time, care and effort goes into making the food, and it really comes through in the flavour. The presentation was beautiful, the service was brilliant, and the whole evening was fantastic. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

27/06/2026: We had a fantastic lunch here today. Coffee was beautiful aswell. Free lunch plate of fruit and vegetables for our 9 month old baby was really appreciated. Great spot and definitely a place to stop in while you're in Gorey.

27/08/2026: Passed by so many times over the years but stopped yesterday! What a great meal, monkfish/scampi starter was excellent, pan fried Hake, superb! We will never pass without stopping in future, highly recommended!

15/08/2026: Didn't reserve - stopped on the off chance after our visit to Hook Lighthouse. Great customer service and delicious food! I had the sirloin - fantastic!

09/08/2026: Food was very good. Table service was good (I wouldnt say very friendly but good) and food was served in a good time. The atmosphere was a bit strange, hard to pinpoint, but the gentleman who I assume was the owner seemed a bit worked up and was rushing around the place giving orders, which I found a bit annoying. Overall good experience.

02/08/2026: Had a beautiful brunch here after visiting the farmers market. My husband raved about the coffee and the bacon- some of the best he’s ever had!

04/09/2026: After a few years since our last visit, this was extremely disappointing with both the inflated costs, only Wooden Cutelry, no available Water on the table, and the food in Cardboard Boxes along with such small pieces of Haddock ... all for approximately nearly €50. Thank you, but not coming all this way again! Kind tegards.

10/08/2026: I can't give a rating because we didn't get seated. We went for dinner at 8pm and it turned out the kitchen had finished 15 minutes ago. A bit strange for a holiday village. Thanks at least to the girl from the staff who told us there was a restaurant in the neighboring village.

03/08/2026: Good food, crab dishes were delicious! Great nautical themed decorations, good Guinness and friendly atmosphere. Need to book a table if eating because they don’t do walk-ins.

04/09/2026: Very good. Excellent service pleasant company. But please stop asking these questions before I've even sat down. Its irritating and doesn't allow the business ample time to impress. I know I could review it later but delay the sending. No sooner had I crossed the threshold I was being approached by Google. Stop it Big Brother. It irritates and makes me feel I'm being followed.
