The best restaurants in Killarney

26/01/2025: Really bad experience! We were repeat customers and had really high hopes.We had booked for a table of 8 almost 2 weeks in advance, we arrived at our allocated time and went up to the host stand to let them know that we were here, we were immediately met with hostility, the manager Mark approached me and said “absolutely not no walk ins reservations only” I let him know we had a reservation and he said “oh yea,how?” I told him I made it online and went to find out booking confirmation, he didn’t even acknowledge what I said and just stormed off, when he came back a few mins later he screamed at my whole party in front of the restaurant “if yere even thinking about having a drink we better have ID”, we were eventually sat down however everyone was uncomfortable and wanted to leave- if we could have guaranteed that we would get a table of 8 in another restaurant we would have left but we couldn’t. The entire time we were being watched by other waitresses to report back to Mark what we were saying and doing. To make the experience worse dogs were left into the restaurant but they didn’t want us there. Olga our server was trying to compensate for her managers rude behavior and she provided wonderful service however this was over shadowed by the feeling of being unwelcome Will not be returning again

30/12/2024: We were in the danny mann for 14 of us and although they were very busy, the manager accommodated us on two separate tables. The food was out of this world and the service was top class. The staff were rushed off their feet as every seat was full. It was a great afternoon and we would highly recommend it.

12/02/2025: went in this coffee shop in hope to find a cheap meal to go but instead found one of the tastiest bagel I've ever had : well filled and fresh. The oat and peanut cake is a must try as well, there's new flavours at every bites it's amazing !

04/01/2025: Went there twice recently and it's a definite for anyone visiting Killarney. One of the best whiskey collections you could wish to see and the staff and atmosphere were brilliant. You can bottle your own whiskey which is really cool. Didn't have food just drinks but the food looked excellent as well.

17/12/2024: We had a lovely dinner before the Christmas Carols concert in St Mary's Cathedral! Staff were great and attentive!

29/01/2025: Stayed 2 nights a group of 13, fabulous hotel, convenient to everything as in Town,bus and train station across road, lovely cosy super comfy hotel,food excellent and staff excellent, 👌,could not do enough for customers ,and of course Mike who provides entertainment,and creates super atmosphere

09/02/2025: 4.5 ⭐️ Great place, although a little cold to sit and eat. Ok pizza (very thin and crispy crust - more like a crispy flatbread than a thin italian woodfire crust), but great selection of beers!

17/02/2025: The delicious smell lured us in. We were minding our own business, on our way back to the car park when we passed the door of Piccolo. We didn't dine in, only sat at the high stools waiting on our two take away pizzas. Both were divine. Easily one of the nicest pizzas we've both had in some time! Would recommend! We'll Definatley be back.

24/01/2025: Came in September and ate there. Such great service and they set up a table all nice so we could sit outside. We were craving pizza, and this was so delicious and hit the spot. Really cute spot with great staff.

22/10/2024: By far away the best hotel we stayed at on our most recent trip to Ireland. From the moment we arrived until we departed, we were made to feel welcomed, cared for and truly at home. The gentleman who is the night manager, was exceptional and is an immense value to the hotel. Gorgeous accommodations and incredible food at every outlet. We will return.

10/12/2024: This place came locally recommended and did not disappoint. We had the seafood chowder and the steak and both were top notch. Nearly the entire menu is gluten free and locally sourced.

12/12/2024: Had a beautiful brunch in Manna Cafe. "The cure" was a really tasty dish, beautiful hollandaise sauce with poached eggs on a bed of bacon and cubed potatoes. The mocha was really tasty with real melted dark chocolate through it.

16/02/2025: Brown bread sounds like a weird flavor for ice cream, but it tasted to me like oatmeal cookies - delicious. Also had their honeycomb caramel and would rate it 10 of 10. Great staff. Worth a quick stop. I do have to mention their customer service. My parents and I saw the flavors listed on the window and mentioned some of them skeptically. "Brown bread? What in the world would that taste like?" Before we had finished our fourth sentence after that statement, someone was out from inside the store with three sample spoons of brown bread ice cream. They know what they've got, and they really want to share it with you. Wonderful people.

09/02/2025: Such a fab shop! Been to many of Murphys spots, but the young lady working there the evening of the 8th of Feb was such a credit to the company, really fantastic customer service. Thank you!

03/01/2025: The Guinness Brown bread here is fantastic Had the chicken burger and it was one of the cleanest chicken burgers I’ve ever had, will definitely come back again in the future. Food and service overall here was great! Would highly recommend a visit here if you are around Killarney and looking for a nice food spot!

28/12/2024: This is my family’s favourite place in town. We come every year for my mum's birthday at Christmas and every year we are treated better than in any other restaurant or hotel in Killarney. We are always accommodated even if we arrive an hour before our reservation, and the servers are extremely kind & friendly. And of course, the food is phenomenal. The portions are very generous & every year it never disappoints. We always come at Christmas time & this has to be one of the best decorated hotels in all of Killarney. We have been to many other places here but this continues to prove itself to be the best spot for food, atmosphere & great service in town. Thanks to everyone for always making this a highlight of our year - The Flynn family
