The best restaurants in Limerick

22/02/2025: First time in Jack Monday's. It's a good place for a late breakfast or lunch. We had nice food for lunch. I had a wrap and my wife had a club sandwich. It came with salad and cubed potatoes. The coffee (I had a double espresso) was okay, but I like it a bit stronger. Lovely place with a view over the river Shannon and towards the castle. We will certainly come back for lunch.

17/10/2025: Well - 3 stars. Service.... First of all - I'm alway taking it for take away. Food is great and worth returning for it. Place has nice atmosphere, and overall is looking nice. Parking spot could be a problem sometimes. Now service for take away. It happens 3 times to me right now. I'm usually ordering for first empty slot for collection, and it could be 2-3 hours later. So I tought I might order in the middlen of the day so I can pick collection slot whenever I like - drop in collect, after work and go home quickly. This is not working. After forst and second time it happens I was assured that it will be fixed, and there will be no delay next time - here we go - every single time when I have ordered this way I had to wait 15-20 minutes longer, even taking into consideration that I have ordered around 2-3 PM. Obviously other people are just picking their orders no problem on time. Ordering system has a flaw - as kitchen is not even attempting to make my order for desired collection time - when I show up they are preparing it then.... Hopefully next time I will have better experience.

08/10/2025: Love coming here for lunch. Everything is fresh and tasty. Soup and ham toastie is a winner.

16/08/2025: Lovely cafe attached to the Hunt Museum currently holding an exhibition about the life of Richard Harris born in Limerick. Staff very friendly and helpful. Internal and external seating on the banks of the majestic River Shannon

03/07/2025: We had a bbq here yesterday evening for a conference we are hosting in Limerick for about 70 people. The food was amazing. The staff were just brilliant and made everyone feel comfortable. I have to say it was just a beautiful setting. The whole experience was just top class.

12/10/2025: On short work trip to Cork yesterday morning from Donegal, stayed just one night in The Devon inn. Most enjoyable stay, staff are lovely & helpful, dinner was first class really nice, atmosphere was great, overall hotel price is excellent, location is great between Limerick City & 20km from Kerry border & Listowel.

19/09/2025: Lovely place to stay,good value and lovely atmosphere.very good value for money lovely food. Need,s a lift to get wheelchairs etc in.

28/09/2025: Simple environment, professional and really good staff, in fact they were really nice. Fresh and quality food, there you can taste the real indian food that has a really autenthic taste. We really had a good dinner. We will come back another time for sure. We suggest this place to everybody.

18/07/2025: Visited shannon RFC for a pint before a concert the staff were amazing and friendly, even though the place was busy, everyone was served very quickly. Highly recommend

15/07/2025: €8 a pint €9 for a can of cider or kopperberg in a plastic glass... more expensive than the pints inside the stadium. Not worth going in for a few

15/10/2025: Love the food here in bamboo fast service friendly staff and the food is delicious highly recommend this place

11/05/2025: Wasted €14 — the whole meal ended up in the trash. Unfortunately, the crispy chicken sauce had the texture of disgusting mush, and the noodles were really low quality. I trusted the good reviews, but this taught me that even a 4.4 rating on Google Maps doesn’t guarantee the place is actually decent.

30/08/2025: A good 👍 pub. They have one of the cheapest pints in limerick which is Fosters.You get a good 👍 pint of Fosters.You also sometimes meet the friendly locals in this bar. The pub is there since the 90s. I have a vague memory of ha ving my Holy communion dinner with my parents, brother and sister back in 1980. Its a long ⌛ time ago, ⏲ I don't remember much.

25/09/2025: First time and it was a great surprise. Food is just the right amount of spicy (we chose things with just one jalapeño) and the Kulfi for dessert was delicious. We had a selection of starters and side plates to share (garlic naan is a must) Our servers were suuuuper nice and attentive, they gave great recommendations and were conscious of food choices (I'm vegetarian). All in all a great experience, definitely recommend. Sorry there's no pictures we ate everything before taking any
