The best restaurants in Limerick

31/05/2026: I had the chicken and mushroom tagliatelle and my partner had the chicken tenders. The food was beautiful and the staff were great. Very friendly with great food I wholeheartedly recommend Clancy's

01/05/2026: Four of us arrived for lunch. Ordered our food. It took at least 30 minutes to arrive, it wasn’t busy at all. That’s ok. The food was decent. We ordered half rice / half chips with the curries. We were charged charged us €5.45 per small bowl of chips. That’s an extra €16.35 for what should have been half and half. These bowls were also quite small - I’d call that saucy. Then proceeded to charge us €1.20 per dash of miwadi. I never left a negative review before now. This one fully deserved it. I’d call this daylight robbery. Won’t be back.

26/05/2026: Very good fun afternoon lots of things to do including bowling, jumplanes and indoor golf and soft play for the small ones. Lovely cafe for a coffee and a snack

18/11/2025: I really enjoyed the sandwich and cookies. The staff were very nice too. It's a great spot with nice outdoor seating as well. Such a shame they don't offer any 'for here' cups or plates, this location especially has the space to do it.

25/09/2025: Every time I come here I come away feeling completely underwhelmed. Cheap furniture, uninspired decor, barely adequate toilet facilities, slow service (as there's always a queue) . The staff are pleasant enough, but in comparison to many other cafes this falls short of the mark. It only survives on the back of a shortage of competition in this area of Limerick, and despite a big student population, it's certainly not cheap.

12/02/2026: An amazing culinary experience. This is fine dining without being pretentious. It is a gorgeous old building which is beautifully appointed. The waiting staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the food they serve. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you want an exceptional meal while in Limerick.

01/01/2026: Definitely go for evening meal - it’s all worth the additional price! I don’t get the bad reviews. The experience was outstanding! 👏 Everything starts as soon as you come in. Had champagne while at the waiting room. Nonetheless, here’s what I had: Lobster and crab lasagna for starter - a bit salty to my taste but all the flavors I expect were there. Venison for main - well executed with the blend of parsnip and blackberry sauce Salted caramel tart for dessert - it’s good, flavors weren’t that overwhelming so you can taste all the components to it.

24/12/2025: Went here on Christmas Eve and although the place was extremely busy we were served promptly and the food was divine. Staff were amazing and performed so well under pressure. 100% spot on

06/12/2025: Great Value food. Chicken burger is the nicest I’ve ever had. Fantastic views all around. Great service and great pint of Guinness!

02/07/2026: 100% recommend this place in Limerick. The wings are perfectly crispy and juicy, and they have a fantastic variety of sauces for every taste. Great atmosphere, and the staff is super friendly and quick with the service. Excellent value for money. This has easily become one of my favorite spots, will definitely be back soon!

18/03/2026: Sure the bathroom looks like a Soviet jail cell but everything else was perfect. The food was immaculate, the portions were big, the service was quick, the atmosphere was nice, the staff was friendly and the prices were pretty good for Ireland

14/10/2025: Arrived an hour before closing to a not very warm welcome. Were served in to go cups. Filter coffee was cold. The coffee was good however. The tart also served cold but maybe that's a thing.

20/12/2025: This used to be a good place where I can get asian food. It’s about a year or more since I had food from here. The portions were smaller, it got more expensive, and the taste is not as comforting anymore. I ordered the same dish I would get: peppercorn prawn and duck. I left disappointed and wouldn’t prob go back if I’m paying for it.

21/06/2026: I honestly have never had food poisoning this bad after eating at a restaurant. The starter was acceptable, although it's hard to get frozen food wrong when it only needs reheating. The main course, however, was a disaster. I ordered the Sweet & Sour Chicken. The chicken was rubbery, the onions and peppers were still practically raw, and, strangely, there were chunks of tomato in the dish. Everything was drowned in an excessive amount of overly sweet sauce, which made me wonder whether the food had been properly cooked or simply reheated from frozen. Within a few hours I developed severe food poisoning with repeated vomiting followed by the worst diarrhoea I've ever experienced. I wasn't the only one disappointed by the food. The two people dining with me also thought their meals tasted terrible and left most of their food. The only difference is that they ate much less than I did, and fortunately they didn't become ill. Based on my experience, I certainly won't be returning.
