24/11/2025: The food was disappointing. The gravy was too thick, lumpy, and overly salty. The chicken was greasy, and the breading fell off because the meat was overcooked. The woman behind the counter (older, with black hair) could also work on her customer service and attitude. Feel free to eat there if you don’t care about quality or taste — but I definitely won’t be returning.

17/11/2025: I listened to the Chicken Hut Blindboy podcast on the way to Ireland, as recommended by my Irish boyfriend. My mouth was watering on the plane and I simply couldn’t wait to go to Chicken Hut. You walk inside and it’s like a time capsule. The place is overwhelmingly run down but if you were born in the 90s, it gives you that warm nostalgic feeling that maccies would provide you as a child. Boyfriend and I went for the gravy chip and 4 pieces of chicken. Presentation wasn’t incredible but hear me out, it’s all part of the experience. The gravy, it’s seriously proper stuff. It’s as thick as mashed potatoes, peppery and rich. The chicken, juicy, herbaceous, spicy, unique. I can’t wait to come back. The forks in the bag, you ghoul! I’ve saved the carrier bag to stick on my bedroom wall to savour this experience.

30/11/2025: I visited Limerick for one night with a friend after traveling all the way from Galway, and unfortunately our experience at Nancy Blake’s was extremely disappointing. When we reached the entrance, the bouncer refused us entry with a vague “not tonight guys,” even though we were sober, respectful, and simply looking to enjoy the night. What made the situation worse was watching the group directly behind us—local white patrons—walk in without any questions or hesitation. When we politely asked for a reason for being denied, none was given. The entire interaction felt discriminatory and left us feeling singled out for no legitimate reason. As visitors who were excited to experience the city’s nightlife, this was a genuinely upsetting moment. No one should be treated like this at the door of any establishment. I hope the management takes this seriously, because experiences like this leave a lasting negative impression on travelers.

30/11/2025: I used to love Nancy’s Bar, but during my last visit it became obvious that non-white customers are treated differently by the bouncers. I was allowed in, yet my husband who is non-white and was properly dressed was denied entry without any explanation. This was unacceptable and deeply disappointing. I won’t be returning to Nancy’s again, which is unfortunate because the bar staff have always been lovely.

14/10/2025: Stopped in for breakfast while driving through the area. So glad we did. Traditional Irish breakfast, perfectly done at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

08/09/2025: Not great, was new in the 80s, seats tinny, run down not clean wouldn't go back, also no meals under 13euro

20/09/2025: Got food without fork or knife, and the manager asked for the bill very rudely. Really disappointing experience.

02/12/2025: The ladies who work at the cafe are simply wonderful! So sweet, so beautiful. I really appreciated the Irish coffee! We also ordered two sandwiches, which were mind-blowing. We've never had a more delicious sandwich, and it was so huge!🫂

27/11/2025: Quaint local cafe where you will feel like you’re seated amongst locals. Friendly service. We only had coffee but the food options looked good too. Particularly the omelette. Easy parking out front on the street.

04/12/2025: Good hotel with good staff, food was brilliant ( dinner and breakfast ). Very moody atmosphere. Rooms need renovation. Was very cold on arrival but there is a possibility to adjust a heating

29/10/2025: We stayed here for 2 nights, the food was incredible, service second to none. They accommodated 18 of us last minute for dinner. Would highly recommend this hotel.

29/11/2025: Gluten-free options were great. Separate toaster and oil for the food. Friendly staff. We will definitely be back here again soon.
