The best restaurants in Limerick

15/07/2025: It was our first time visiting this place. Out of everything we ordered for the family, I would say the kids' fried noodles with chicken were the highlight — really delicious and the portion was quite large, even enough for me. In second place, I’d put the rice with prawns and chicken, which was also tasty. As for the duck with onions, I had high expectations, but it left me a little disappointed. I’ve had better duck before. It would have been great if the dish included more vegetables — there was a lot of onion, which added flavor, but didn’t quite save the dish. The meat itself was tender, but all I could really taste was the chili pepper and onion. The spiciness was moderate, which was nice, but overall the flavors felt a bit unbalanced.

26/06/2025: This is a great, proper modern Irish pub, can't recommend enough, always a good laugh, always good rock on the jukebox.

09/07/2025: Excellent tapas, service and DJ. Had garlic mushrooms which was our favourite, patatas bravas, Brie and caramelised red onion bruschetta and buffalo cauliflower. The DJ created a lovely atmosphere. Had a coctail and a pint of Peroni, both were tasty. Returned here a few times. Only complaint is can you please make the cauliflower crispy and hot when it goes out as it was a bit soggy and cold when I got it last :( Still great vibes. The beef was unreal. And there was a great gig on.

20/06/2025: Please change your napkins and I'll give ye five stars. I love this place and have been going for many years. Sorbet is delicious. Great vegan options. Portions are huge and well worth the price. Service is great. However, I can not stand the absolutely horrible quality napkins that are placed on each table. They cannot clean up absolutely anything. It's like they were created specifically with the opposite of a napkin's function in mind. They are pretty much water-resistant. For a place that serves such a messy food as ice-cream you'd hope to be able to wipe your hands and face afterwards but those hopes are thwarted by these vile napkins. Again, otherwise lovely place. For years it was the only ice-cream place in Limerick City Centre and it remains the best. I would otherwise give it five stars except for the napkin issues.

30/05/2025: Have eaten here numerous times with my family. Lovely staff who always fit you into this mega popular place, even without a booking. Food is great and my favourite dish so far is the shrimp tacos. Kids are welcome when well behaved. They love it here too.

08/05/2025: A but tight with seasoning and no drink with meal. Bring back the old stix. Stix special is nice so 3 stars.

07/06/2025: Went today with my mum for breakfast/brunch. We both ordered omlettes and soda bread with tea/coffee. We were so happy with the food it was really lovely and my coffee was too! Unfortunately the whole experience was dampened by the service from one younger woman behind the counter who told us there was no soda bread a few minutes after our order which is fine we both said we'd have the brown slice bread instead which was stated on the menu as toasted. When the food came out the bread wasn't toasted and when we asked if we could have it toasted the plates were taken from our tables with a 'RIGHT' & swift walk away from our table with a massive huff from the server at the toaster and I then saw her speak to the other lady working there who then brought us the toast back! For such a simple and polite ask her mannerisms and attitude really upset my mum and I as if we were rude about it we'd have expected that response but we were both in shock! She really needs to be spoken to because every other person we encountered was so lovely and the food and garden center is just fab! I would still go back as it is the first time I've had bad customer service here and the others were lovely but it did upset me enough to leave a review!

28/05/2025: Great place for a coffe and danish. Whether your going to nursety or not. Nusery really good always worth a visit for anyone ...gardners or beginners. Phil very helpful...but dont call him Ray! For any garden advice

25/10/2024: I recently visited soda cakes and had mixed feelings about my experience. The food was fantastic—delicious and well-prepared, truly a highlight of my visit. However, the atmosphere was marred by the rude demeanor of the manager, whose unprofessional attitude towards the staff was hard to ignore and her lack of hygiene was not pleasing. It created an uncomfortable and unbearable vibe that detracted from the overall experience. Additionally, I noticed that the barista could use some more training; I could hear the milk burning while my coffee was being made, which was a bit disappointing. With a few improvements in management and training, this cafe could really shine. I hope they take these comments to heart!

13/07/2025: Had a beautiful brunch here this weekend, the staff are amazing, highly professional and attentive. Lovely modern floral decor, and the food was delicious. Highly recommend and I will certainly come here again.

29/05/2025: I recently visited Summer Court, a charming little restaurant, and I was truly impressed! The ambience was warm, inviting, and beautifully set up, creating the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed meal. The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. It was truly finger-licking good! A special mention goes to Maylee, who was incredibly kind and attentive. She suggested a few dishes for us to try, and each one turned out to be spot on. Her friendly attitude and helpful recommendations made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, a wonderful dining experience — I highly recommend Summer Court to anyone looking for great food and excellent service, affordable price. Will definitely be coming back!

03/05/2025: Popped into Noms recently—service was quite slow, so be prepared to wait a bit. I’d recommend paying by card, as you'll end up getting a lot of brown coins in your change back if you use cash 😏. (Well thats what happened us) That said, the donut I had was absolutely delicious—fresh, fluffy, and worth the visit for the treat alone.

02/04/2025: I ordered some of the sauces online and it has been 16 days and running with no sign of the order being delivered soon. I emailed to let them know and got no reply. I would not recommend ordering anything online, not reliable one bit and the lack of communication is nothing but poor.

22/06/2025: Terrible chicken, tiny portion of chips. Waste of money.
