04/09/2025: I don’t know where to start about this restaurant. I have been here alone and with groups of 40+ people. The food is the best in the village in my opinion. The staff are incredible and make the experience one of a kind.

02/09/2025: What can I say, outstanding, great food, great service, a very very fair price, makes for a perfect night out, I'll be back one way or the other. I'm from out of town but whenever I'm back, I'll be taking time out for the Greedy Goose.

01/09/2025: I found the food disappointing. I expected more for the price. The amuse-bouche was served with a cloche and smoke, lots of smoke around a crisp with a tasteless cheese filling. The starter was mussels and fish, the sauces didn't match, and the red caviar didn't make it any better. The main course was Irish beef; the meat was good, but the sauce tasted sour and of nothing else. The vegetables were completely unseasoned and not well presented; for example, the carrots were unpeeled. The service was okay. I just felt like it was missing that certain something. The restaurant also looked a bit dingy, with electrical wires in the corner that could have been hidden. It was more like a pub, as it was very loud. They probably need better insulation. All in all, there are a few things that could be improved.

17/09/2025: Checked the place out on their website for food availability, opening times etc. drove 18 kilometres to get there for 1800 only to find that (a) they were not opening until 1900 and (b) they wouldn’t be serving food. Very disappointed.

15/09/2025: Really nice pub, food was delicious, staff were very friendly and helpful. They have a great special’s menu to go with the already good regular menu. I had the pot of mussels and my husband had the spicy chipotle chicken sandwich, both were really good. Nice atmosphere in the bar, it did get really busy so it might be difficult to get a table at times but worth the wait.

16/08/2025: We went on a team night out and the place and atmosphere of this place is class. It might look very small at the outside but very big on the inside.Their servers was very approachable and accommodating as well. Food was ok for me. I would say my expectations were a little bit not met. For a 30-40 euro steak, I would have expected that the steak is at least seasoned which was not. The sharing platter as well was a little bit small for me. I expected at least a couple of meats and more cheese on a meat and cheese board but as you can see on the picture that’s their sharing board and you can see on the menu how much that is. My teammates enjoyed their veggie board and they were delighted with the taste. Their desert was great as well. Overall still a good experience. Just get your wallets ready as food can be pricey.

19/07/2025: Nunca me sentí más desagradable en un pub irlandés. Personal de bar bastante grosero y gruñón y ninguna broma de nadie dentro. Un pub que se esfuerza por presentarse como un gastro sigue siendo una casa de copas muy simple, poco atractiva, solo para los lugareños. El personal del salón afortunadamente posee encanto y gracia.

11/07/2025: Sin duda el mejor desayuno de la zona. Llevo viniendo aquí unos cuantos años y siempre es excelente. Dos salchichas de buen tamaño, dos lonchas de cerdo, huevo frito, tomate a la plancha, morcilla y pudin, dos tostadas y té o café, buena relación calidad-precio por 12€. 50 . El servicio es siempre eficiente y amable y la impresión es la de un establecimiento gestionado muy profesionalmente. Una cosa más, las patatas fritas siempre vienen servidas en un plato caliente, algo que no siempre se consigue en otro sitio.

05/10/2025: We enjoyed our brunch very much. The food was excellent and creative, the wait staff pleasant, and the vibe upbeat without being over the top. Recommend wholeheartedly.

07/09/2025: Staff are very friendly and well informed about events on in the city. Breakfast was amazing. The French toast melts in the mouth.

17/09/2025: Back again after 9 years and never fails to deliver. It's been extended now with 20 rooms and an outside covered courtyard but it's the food you go thete for. Sure it's out of the way but only about 40 mins from Cavan or Sligo, a stones throw from Enniskillen you've got Marble Arch Caves and the Cuilcaghs with all they have to explore.

12/09/2025: Recently had my first visit to McNean House, and I will definitely be back! The service and staff were absolutely amazing and the food…the food was simply phenomenal!!

28/09/2025: You can make up your breakfast which is great as the menu is not your traditional one, seems to have lots of alternative options. Not much space between the seats. Seems to be a popular spot, hence was crowdy. Pricey as well as I spent around 35 euros for breakfast for two. I enjoyed my eggs , sourdough bread was quite dry. Seems like a shop bought one.

23/08/2025: I recently had a family celebration at woodruff. Colm and his staff were exceptional, the food was wonderful and the restaurant is bright and airy. Everything was 10/10. The sunday roast is a highlight.

22/08/2025: food was great the appetisers were amazing. fish was a little on the salty side but still good nonetheless.

28/08/2025: Wow! Five stars all around. Dinner and dessert options were fantastic. I recommend the lamb and the sticky toffee pudding. Both were so good. Environment is obviously amazing as well! I would come back here.

19/08/2025: Obviously, the atmosphere, being a former church, is without rivals. And as you can expect, the staff is great at everything they do. But honestly? we return here time after time for the food. This may just be the best restaurant we've eaten at in Ireland, and it fully deserves the reputation it has. Everything, from the drinks, to the bread, to the starters, to the mains, to the deserts, is top quality and leaves you wanting for more. In conclusion: highly recommended. *While the menu changes over time, we've found that the sticky toffee pudding is always on the menu, and it is superb.
