Cafe Paradiso
Cork
12/07/2026: Great experience.
5 course + desert. All of them well balanced.
Highly recommended.
15/05/2026: This restaurant was such a beautiful surprise. It has a gourmet vegetarian concept, but the atmosphere is incredibly relaxed, elegant, warm, and romantic at the same time. — the kind of place where you immediately feel comfortable.
The tasting menu with was delicious, creative, and perfectly balanced. You can really feel the passion and attention behind every plate.
It wasn’t just dinner, it was a true culinary experience that we would absolutely repeat and recommend to everyone. The staff looked after our table and took very good care of us from beginning till the ened. Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, and a memorable evening overall.

Welcome Inn
Cork
15/08/2026: this place knows how to pull a quality pint,
Small and full Irish pub 👍🏼
Nice spot to stop for one or two.
14/08/2026: Okay so, this has been a dream of mine. To go to a proper Irish pub and drink a Guinness. It was great. Everything I ever pictured. It's cool to see the culture. I enjoyed every second while I stopped my Guinness at the bar. So I went back another day when it was pouring outside and I needed shelter. It was a little early so I went with the Guinness 0% and it was so tasty! I'm not typically a fan of non alcoholic beers but Guinness 0% is great!
I didn't see food or notice anyone ordering food so I can't rate the food but the service and beer was everything you'd expect. Highly recommend!

Bierhaus
Cork
02/08/2026: Fantastic pub with amazing selection of ales and beers 🍻 highly recommended 🙌🏻🫶🏻
01/08/2026: I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Bierhaus, situated on Pope's Quay in Cork. As an enthusiast of both local history and fine beverages, I found this establishment to be a remarkable addition to the city's vibrant hospitality scene. Established in 2006, it has clearly cemented its reputation as a premier destination for craft beer.
The primary draw of The Bierhaus is, unequivocally, its extraordinary selection of libations. The sheer volume and variety are staggering, boasting over 220 beers. This includes an impressive 30 draught taps, with a commendable 24 rotating guest lines, alongside a cask option. It is a veritable haven for those seeking to explore beyond the standard offerings.
The curation of the beer menu is exceptional. It provides a comprehensive representation of Irish craft brewing, featuring independent producers such as Kinnegar, The White Hag, and 9 White Deer. Furthermore, the international selection is robust, encompassing everything from established European classics like Budvar and Erdinger to cutting-edge craft brands and a strong showing of Belgian ales. For those with a penchant for other spirits, the back bar also houses a very decent whisky collection.
What truly elevates the experience at The Bierhaus, however, is the standard of service. The staff are not merely servers but knowledgeable guides. Faced with such a vast array of choices, it would be easy to feel overwhelmed. Yet, the personnel demonstrate a genuine passion for their product and an impressive ability to direct patrons towards a beer that will suit their specific palate. Their recommendations are thoughtful and precise, ensuring that every selection is a successful one.
The atmosphere strikes a careful balance, operating as a dedicated beer specialist bar while remaining accessible to a more mainstream crowd. While the décor reflects a late-2000s US craft influence, with its long bar and brewery signage, the focus remains firmly on the quality of the beverages. It is a place conducive to both quiet appreciation of a complex stout and convivial conversation over a crisp pilsner.
In conclusion, The Bierhaus offers a superlative experience for anyone with a serious interest in beer. The combination of an unparalleled selection and expert, attentive staff makes it an essential destination in Cork. I highly recommend a visit.

25/07/2026: We finally found the gluten-free 9 White Deer Stout. A great place with a lovely garden. Gluten-free pizza too. But the smell of tobacco from the garden was overwhelming...

Franciscan Well Brewery
Cork
08/08/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Absolutely outstanding experience at the Franciscan Well!
Credit where credit is due — Pamela is an absolute icon and a massive asset to the Franciscan Well. Her service is second to none, and she’s genuinely one of the main reasons we keep coming back time and time again.
From the minute you arrive, the communication, the welcome, the laughs and the banter are absolutely brilliant. Pamela has a way of making you feel at home and adds hugely to the whole atmosphere of the place.
The Franciscan Well itself is a fantastic spot for a drink, a catch-up and a great night out, but having staff like Pamela takes it to another level entirely.
If you’re looking for somewhere with great atmosphere, brilliant service and a proper welcome, the Franciscan Well is the place to go.
⭐ Pamela deserves serious recognition — an absolute credit to the Franciscan Well! ⭐
Couldn’t recommend the place highly enough. We’ll definitely keep coming back! 🍻👏

Model Farm Bar & Bistro
Cork
18/08/2026: This was our second time meeting here for a large family birthday celebration. Both times they managed unexpected extra people easily and professionally and gave us great space to move around. The atmosphere is busy for Saturday lunch but in a fun enjoyable way.
Service is very nice and pleasant but there was a bit of a wait between courses, especially desert. In saying that they made a lovely birthday version of my sisters desert and all the servers got together to sing Happy Birthday which she loved.
Food is hot, generous and delicious with a bit of traditional, a bit of Indian, a bit of Italian as well as burgers etc etc I think I had the nicest cheesecake I have ever eaten ( and I’ve had a fair few!) with their white chocolate and raspberry on a Biscoff base - I was sorry I hadn’t asked for a doggy bag for next day!
You won’t be disappointed.
09/08/2026: Really good quality food. Presentation of some dishes were not great but all food was really good. Would definitely return.

South County Bar
Cork
23/08/2026: The chicken schnitzel is the best meal we had in our 11 days in Ireland! It was delicious! The sticky toffee pudding was also perfect! Love the atmosphere and Customer Service was great. One of our best restaurant experiences in Ireland.
06/08/2026: We arrived a half hour before closing for one last toast. They were very patient in kicking us out for the night. It was a Family Reunion from across the globe so we appreciated that they allowed us that. Thank you

LovingSalads
Cork
15/07/2026: We brought from the van at the kinsale food market and I must say the Thai spring rolls is possibly the nicest thing I've ever eaten 😋
13/07/2026: Cannot recommend Loving Salads enough. A last minute decision to host a summer party for 45 adults and Jason had no bother in producing the most exquisite tasting food which was the talk of the party. One plate was nicer than the next. Everything was so fresh and appetising. We will be back. Thank you.

Cafe Gusto

08/08/2026: Excellent little lunch place on Washington near the Grand Parade. First-rate salads and the daily roast I had was very good - chicken in a mushroom sauce with basmati rice. Recommended.
08/08/2026: The Turkish Toast with chorizo was amazing.
