26/05/2026: I had the great pleasure of visiting this lovely establishment in the past few weeks. It was an unexpected stop but a very worthwhile one. The food here was absolutely amazing and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. One young energetic lady with a very positive spirit stuck out to me. Phillipa was her name and to be honest she is a credit to this place. When I’m not passing again I will certainly make sure to visit.

21/12/2025: Homely and friendly cafe, they back a lot of personality and comfort into a small footprint. Had the seafood selection with chips and it was bang on, portion wasn't too big and everything tasted fresh and well cooked. Also received a complimentary slice of cake with my coffee to go, as the cafe was just closing for the Christmas.... nice touch!
Would recommend for casual dinning, family food, meeting for a chat and a coffee amongst good hearted people.

10/05/2026: I was drawn to this café by the name and and decided to take a peek inside. The barrista was very welcoming and was eager to get to know us. He really went out of his way to prepare us some delicious toasties. I'd love to go back one day and listen to the vallenato songs that made us feel like we were in Colombia for a moment.

10/04/2026: No place to leave a seperate restaurant review. Went for lunch on our one day in Tubbercurry. Our server was nice. We found the lunch a bit lacking in selection, no burgers or fish and chips.
Had the soup, BLT club and fries.

17/04/2026: Really nicely located by the river. But unfortunately had a bad experience. It was not very busy, and my coffee took nearly 20 minutes to arrive. The hot chocolate came completely cold, and the cream on top was sour and gone off. I would be hesitant to come back sadly.

02/06/2026: Tried this place on the strength of the Google reviews being good. Not good, food and definetly not Italian. Can't fathom why the reviews are good for this place. The interior feels like its not been touched from what it originally was and I hardly touched my lasagna.
Ive had holidays in Naples and my home city Glasgow has the best Italian restraunts and cafes in Scotland and beyond. 2 stars for this place is generous. Why felt like we'd been robbed tbh

18/03/2026: Had fish and chips twice, first time we have had a takeaway since we moved to Ireland in May. Absolutely lovely, comes with lemon wedge tartare sauce and peas and plenty of salt and vinegar. Perfect portion too!
11/03/2026: Lovely hot fresh homemade chips and the fish was very tasty, loved the thin crispy batter. Fernando was such a gent and very welcoming. Cash only but also has a Revolut QR code. Riverstown is lucky to have you.

Insomnia Coffee Company - Sligo O'Connell St

20/12/2025: Unfortunately, I had a very uncomfortable experience this evening due to poor customer service. One of the baristas was calling out all the orders very loudly, which completely ruined the atmosphere. Shortly before closing, I went to use the bathroom, and while I was there, she came into the hallway twice, screaming for me to come out, which felt very aggressive and very uncomfortable. I understand staff needing to close on time, but this approach was very unprofessional and unacceptable.

17/04/2026: Avoid this place in the hight of the fuel crisis this shop took the liberty of charging some of the dearest prices in the county for diesel at 2.24 a litre I will never step foot in this place again and I strongly suggest no 1 else does either. Why should we support a business that didn't support its customers when they needed it the most
