Clayton Hotel Sligo
Sligo
09/05/2025: Tried to book a room, to attend exams in Sligo. Price was 320 for 2 nights no breakfast, I phoned them and then price jumped to 338 within 10 minutes then jumped to 378 in less than an hour of 1st inquiry. RIP OFF. phoned them and they said nothing they could do. Very disappointing that students are being ripped off like this.

New Jewel in the Crown
Tubbercurry
27/04/2025: Went to restaurant for my birthday. Saturday waited 35 minutes for a menu. 30 minutes to take our order. I ordered. King prawn puri. Was absolutely flavourless zero indian spices badly presented. My son had tandoori mixed grill the meat was dry and he never got the curry sauce at all. I ordered tandoori garlic. I got completely the wrong dish. So sweet it was vile. Like a coconut korma baby food. The lamb in it was chewy and tough. The naans were like flatbread not fluffy. Terrible service bad food. This is no way authentic indian food. Zero indian spices in anything. Purely bland. Will not be returning.
19/03/2025: Had a fabulous meal here on a Tues night. We both ordered main courses only but everything was cooked to perfection and super tasty. The chicken karahi was my order-beautiful. My partner ordered the lamb shank and the meat fell off the bone. Would definitely recommend this to anyone going to or driving through Tubbercurry!

Sligo Oyster Experience
Sligo
09/04/2025: I took a group on the private oyster farm tour in Strandhill yesterday. They had such an amazing time. Set in one of the most scenic parts of Ireland, Aisling was a wealth of knowledge about the fine art of oyster farming and provided the group with plenty of world-class yet locally sourced cuisine to sample. I'll definitely be recommending visitors to enjoy this one of a kind experience.
07/04/2025: Great fresh raw oysters. Really good lemon blueberry mignonette to go with them.

23/11/2024: We thought there was music on the night we went in but unfortunately there wasn't. Still though, the coziest bar we found in Sligo, friendly staff and great drinks.

Garavoguehenstag.ie - Sligo's Number 1 Hen and Stag Provider
Sligo
26/05/2025: I recommend Garavoguehenstag without hesitation. Yasmina went above and beyond to take the stress out of planning everything from the cowgirl themed activities and dinner to the hotel stay, all of which were excellent. She was patient, pleasant and helpful throughout which meant that all we had to do was arrive and enjoy the experience. We all had a brilliant time
15/04/2025: Great time had with our host David. Fantastic variety of games, will definitely recommend to a friend!

21/04/2025: We had the goat cheese sandwiches. Mine was a gluten-free one, and both were very tasty. Coffee was very nice as well. All the sandwiches can be gluten-free.

Ox Mountain Lodge
Sligo
03/05/2025: Had the pleasure of staying in.the double decker bus last night views are Incredible kids loved it got to play with hunter the family dog who led us threw the woods with the kids every where the kids went hunter wasn't far behind wel defo be bk perfect location to get away
03/02/2025: Our family had an absolutely magical two-night stay in this converted double-decker bus nestled in the mountains. What an incredible experience! The kids were beyond thrilled to sleep in a real red bus, and it made the whole trip feel like an adventure. The views from the bus were simply breathtaking – we woke up to stunning mountain scenery every morning.
Dermot and Monica were fantastic - super responsive and helpful, They clearly care about their guests' experience. The location was also perfect for exploring the surrounding area; there was so much to see and do nearby.
It's important to note that this is a glamping experience, so the utilities are basic, as you'd expect. However, the bus itself was well-equipped and warm, and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. All the essential facilities were available inside the bus, making it surprisingly convenient.
If you're looking for a unique and memorable

O'Briens Sandwich Café
Sligo
02/05/2025: My God, once I said I'm gluten free, she asked if I'm celiac and straight away puts on gloves and grabbed a board that's stored away and the sandwich was lovely, I never seen this happened before from other places just witnessing that, shows me that they are careful.
23/04/2025: Great food is served by very nice personable staff.

Osta Café and Wine Bar
Sligo
22/05/2025: It was delicious! We had some tapas, the goat cheese toastie and spinach thing were amazing. The waiters were quick and friendly, the music was nice and the river nearby was amazing. I would highly recommend it to travellers to Sligo who are looking for good food and a nice place to stay.
05/05/2025: Having a full Irish breakfast, and some sandwiches and pancakes, not bad! The price was fair, the food was nice. Although I wouldn't have minded a slightly bigger portion. It wasn't really impressive for something called Full.
The food was good, and delicious. Although it was a regular weekday, it was very busy, we had to wait for somewhat 15-20 minutes, before we were seated, and once seated, we had to wait somewhat 10 minutes before we could order. But with the location and the atmosphere, it was absolutely worth it. Beautiful location, and very cosy with all the people around you. Although it was busy, it wasn't too loud, and you could easily have a good conversation with your partner.
There was even seats outside, alongside the river, very beautiful.
I would absolutely recommend coming here for having a good coffee or tea, and then have a cake or anything, but the lunch is rather on the cheap side. Maybe not for a next time, but the cake and tea, absolutely yes!

Montmartre
Sligo
09/05/2025: Fabulous food with great service & great value. Well, worth a visit
05/05/2025: A sad experience of visiting this restaurant.
I ordered a dish called Melody of Seafood.
They brought 3 types of boiled fish on a bed of vegetables. I asked the waiter if this was my dish, since the menu did not say a word about fish, but wrote crustaceans.
They tried to convince me that this is how it should be. My mood was completely ruined.
The establishment could have fixed it if they had brought a compliment, but they did not.
I advise the chef to reread the terminology and understand the difference between seafood and fish, and indicate this on the menu.
