The best restaurants in Sligo

01/07/2025: Being from the US my husband and I go to coffee places all the time. This little place in Sligo is outstanding! The coffee is excellent and they offer a couple super delicious gluten free pastries. I can't have caffeine but their caffeine free Americano is wonderful! The only thing we miss is pouring cream 🙂

13/06/2025: Coffee was stone cold. The breakfast bap for some reason had lettuce in it and the bap base was extremely soggy. Just a meh experience to be honest, expected better. Service was good.

22/07/2025: Rovers Coffee Lab is one of the best coffee spots I’ve ever visited. The staff are fantastic, the coffee is consistently exceptional, and the overall style and atmosphere of the lab are truly impressive. There’s also a wide variety of options to suit coffee lovers of every taste.

03/06/2025: The best sweets shop we came across in our Ireland roadtrip. The sweets and candy were fresh and they had so many options! Very well priced as well, we got a full bag for 4€. Highly recommend checking out! Lots of options for everyone.

28/03/2025: Best candy store that we found in Ireland. You step in the door and it's immediately a blast to the past with the glass counter with drawers for them to give you whatever you are looking for by weight, along with all of the oldies / goodies that you haven't seen on a shelf in a while, mixed with some amazing chocolates. The conversation with the mom / son duo about where we were from and our itinerary was great and they even offered a few tips that altered some of the end plans for the end of our trip and I'm so grateful. We will definitely return the next time we are in Ireland.

22/06/2025: We Went in today for food and the food was great however the service was poor, we werent checked durin the duration and eventually went to pay the bill there was a drink added to the bill that didnt belong, i highlighted this and was told "the manger has to sort it" eventually when he did i got no apology from him got my refund back in cash when i paid in card. Wouldnt be in a rush back as saw it happened to another customer that got charged for a drink she didnt order.

08/07/2025: Vibrant little boozer, comedy venue upstairs

07/07/2025: I had my husband 50th party upstairs in Lillie’s on Saturday night. The room was perfect for our group of 40, very pretty and super comfortable. Staff were so helpful and attentive making sure we had everything we needed and kept checking in with us all night. The food was excellent our guest all complimented the quality and the portions were very generous. All the staff were great but a special thank you to Jamie and Laura who went above and beyond for us. I can’t recommend this venue enough!!!

21/07/2025: Absolutely delicious food. 4 Starters, 4 Mains, 1 Dessert and each dish was absolutely perfect. Excellent quality ingredients, perfectly cooked and delicious. Service was also excellent, really nice friendly staff, very professional and excellent at their job. Definitely recommend visiting. Really nice restaurant and lovely atmosphere, and reasonably priced. .

20/07/2025: Top class all round. I couldn't fault any dish. Everything beautifully cooked and presented and great value. The chicken supreme was delicious. Excellent service from the friendly staff. We will certainly be back.

31/05/2025: We are a family of three adults. I’m coeliac ( gluten free) and my daughter has a serious nut allergy. When we arrived, without a reservation, we explained our dietary issues. The lady we spoke with could not have been nicer. “My mother is coeliac and there are no nuts in the kitchen”. She was friendly and warm and very reassuring. A very helpful server showed us to our table and took out order. One GF burger, one burger and one chickpea pea burger. When the meal arrived I was very impressed my burger was delicious. And the waitress told us that all our fries were GF so we could share. If I lived near I would eat here often and try the steak which the table beside us praised highly. It was lovely to eat somewhere that understood our dietary needs so well.

22/02/2025: Phenomenal find !!We visited Sweet Dreams cafe today and had a such wonderful experience. It has a warm, homely feel ,with a cozy atmosphere that makes you want to stay for hours. There are many kinds of desserts and pastries, and also coffee as well. I'm a huge fun of their cheesecake with peaches and the pistachio cookies is also highly recommended. The owners were incredibly friendly and made us feel so welcome. It's one of those places where you can tell they truly care. Just go, you won't be disappointed!
