The best restaurants in Sligo

23/11/2025: Went there to watch the rugby. Really unfriendly place. Incredibly tense. If you’re not a local then I would go somewhere else.

27/10/2025: I’m really disappointed with how my cousin and I were treated at this pub. My cousin is autistic, and instead of showing any understanding or patience, the staff were rude and dismissive toward her. We were made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, which completely ruined what was meant to be a nice night out… Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and kindness — especially those who might experience the world differently. I’d really hope the management takes this seriously and provides proper training to their bouncers especially on how to treat all customers with understanding and empathy. We definitely won’t be returning until we know that’s changed. Literally pushing my autistic cousin out at the end of the night which nearly made her fall down the stairs of this pub!

27/11/2025: First time experience was sumptuous. We didn't have a booking at the time but the friendly staff were kind enough to accommodate us. Our three courses were delicious and we will most definitely be returning.

17/11/2025: Beautiful restaurant. Food was very fresh and top quality. There was beautiful vegetables unique to each dish. Loved it highly recommend.

11/01/2026: Hideous. Cold, uncomfortable, food bad, breakfast disgusting. Never again. Staff lovely though.

10/01/2026: Was told it was haunted but we had the best nights sleep. The hotel was clean and room was spacious and service was great.

22/12/2025: Had our lunch here one day, quiet little Italian. Food was tasty and massive portions, if on the pricey side. Really nice setting and seemed very popular. Would recommend it no issues.

20/12/2025: They unfortunately charge a 35 euro service charge fee if you bring a cake with you.

07/01/2026: had the most delicious burrito at Tuco's. the place has a very cozy and friendly vibe, the staff was really helpful and kind to me. to everyone visiting Sligo: this restaurant is a MUST to try!!<3

From the moment I walked in, the service was professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, especially from Vivi, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The team’s professionalism and friendly attitude really stood out and made the visit memorable. The food itself was excellent. Authentic Mexican flavors with fresh ingredients and generous portions. Everything was prepared with care, and the service was impressively efficient even during busy times. I appreciated how smoothly the whole experience went, from ordering to receiving my meal. If you’re looking for a place with great food, top-notch service, and a warm atmosphere, Tuco’s Taqueria definitely delivers

09/10/2025: My daughter and I stayed in their AirBnB next door and enjoyed visiting with the locals at the bar. The hosts are delightful. It was the best evening of our visit to Ireland. We felt totally at home.

07/10/2025: This place is excellent, the staff we met were very pleasant and friendly, the food (especially the apple tarts) is absolutely top notch, this is a fab place for lunch, coffees/treats/cakes etc. Great to see people making a real effort in their food and interactions with customers, fair play all round.

28/12/2025: Absolutely wonderful food and great coffees. The vegetable lentil stew with brown bread was light and flavorful.

21/12/2025: Homely and friendly cafe, they back a lot of personality and comfort into a small footprint. Had the seafood selection with chips and it was bang on, portion wasn't too big and everything tasted fresh and well cooked. Also received a complimentary slice of cake with my coffee to go, as the cafe was just closing for the Christmas.... nice touch! Would recommend for casual dinning, family food, meeting for a chat and a coffee amongst good hearted people.

20/01/2026: We only used the Spa and the restaurant, the spa experience was perfect. The people were warm and we had a package deal which was excellent. When we were seated in the restaurant after the manager took our order, we waited for 30 minutes, but received nothing on enquiring the manager told us that our ticket docket had gone missing and no food was ordered or placed, even though we ordered just food. This was very annoying as we had to go for the spa experience and we were quite hungry. He then offered us a complimentary meal, which was good. The food was okay and portions were extremely small. Maybe they did not have enough staff, due to New Year’s Eve but we were kept waiting for a long time for food and the service was not good at all.

04/01/2026: Excellent service, the food was delicious, fresh, warm atmosfere, staff was friendly. The plates were full and delicious. Also spotless toilets, bar, tables. Would recommend to anyone passing by to enjoy nice food. Will return soon!

15/08/2025: Amazing deserts made fresh in store, lovely hot chocolates and coffee, didn't try the food but given the deserts are made fresh I'd say it's a safe bet. I did not see vegan food on the menu, but there is a vegetarian option.
