The best restaurants in Sligo

28/07/2026: Terrible service, very expensive prices. They forced us to leave a 10% tip. I do not recommend it.

28/07/2026: Beautiful setting but rather cold welcome. The dishes were quite expensive for the small portions. A small Irish steak cost €32, ordered rare and served barely lukewarm. They added a 10% service charge to the bill, which is unacceptable and illegal. I've been going to Sligo for 30 years and I always have lunch at Hargadon's; this was the last time.

11/05/2026: Horrible food, we ordered a burger tasted like just like a come out from someone's fridge and microwaved. The chips is even worse than KFC fries. I would not recommend anyone for trying their food, you gonna regret it from every second

27/06/2026: Great hotel Breakfast could have more pastry selection. Dinner was lovely. Reception staff amazing and restaurant staff are lovely. Over all great hotel would definitely recommend.

15/04/2026: My family stayed in the Riverside Hotel recently while my husband was attending hospital. We have stayed here several times, but this stay especially warranted a review. The lady at reception, Erin, quite literally moved heaven and earth for us. She went above and beyond to help us. She is an absolute credit to the hotel! A lovely woman, the hotel is blessed to have her!

22/06/2026: Really well looked after at Ceol na Mara House by Ocean Sands Hotel. We stayed after doing a solstice bike ride from Belfast and they welcomed a whole load of tired cyclists. Bed was comfy, shower was hot, breakfast was good. Didn't need anything else! Would love to come back.

11/06/2026: Great location, beautiful scenery and the hotel is great. I stay here every time I come to enniscrone. Welcoming staff, comfortable and spotlessly clean rooms. Great spa.

22/07/2026: We discovered the restaurant by chance and went in. Downstairs was a quaint pub, and upstairs there was a lovely covered patio. We received a very friendly welcome and excellent service, and the food was outstanding. Freshly prepared and truly delicious. Of course, there was also a wide selection of beers. The value for money was also very good. I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

20/07/2026: Disappointing for the price This review specifically concerns the kiosk in the Quayside Shopping Centre, not the main Sligo store. During our visit, we found the selection of flavors quite limited and mainly focused on very sweet flavors (if memory serves, chocolate, salted caramel, Kinder Bueno…), with few cooler or fruitier options. The prices seemed high to us: €4 for a small children's portion and €6 for a simple chocolate milkshake made with two scoops of ice cream and milk. My pineapple and coconut iced drink was pleasant, but also cost €6. Finally, the service seemed rather cold and unwelcoming, especially when I simply asked if it was possible to add some whipped cream to an ice cream. "Oh, we don't do that here." Nothing bad in itself, but between the limited selection, the prices, and the service, we left rather disappointed.
