The best restaurants in Sligo

19/10/2025: Fab venue overlooking the Garavogue river. Very pricey for what it is.

22/09/2025: Nice location on the river but I was sitting there for 30 minutes (!) completely ignored by waiters serving others. Ordered nothing, went to another cafe.

07/12/2025: Great visit everytime! Perfect food catering for every taste.

02/06/2026: Just wanted to come and leave a review/say a huge thank you to Bratrice in Supermacs Sligo Services. It was out first stop after getting off the ferry on put way to where we stay (always rush for a burger as they put maccy ds to shame). Anyways long story short, I thought I'd left my phone there - we called back they dau after and they couldn't have been more helpful! Beatrice checked the CCTV and went out of her way to help me/well above and beyond. I found my phone shoved into an odd pocket in the end 😳 but just wanted to take the time to say a huge thank you, service here couldn't better!

25/05/2026: Food (chips) undercooked asked for tigh chicken got breast not what it used to be like.

24/03/2026: It's next to the bus stop, the service is decent, the beer is well poured and the price is typical of Ireland, but there's no background music, very sad.

20/01/2026: I liked this place better when they had a pool table and jukebox.

22/03/2026: Not great value. Food was good but not worth over €30 a head for only main courses.

10/06/2026: Very disappointed on this visit. Have dined here on many occasions and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect but unfortunately not on this visit. Portions have shrunk dramatically. Bill mysteriously came to more than was on menu (which I was only informed of afterwards or I WOULD have confronted cashier). Bill was always itemized but is now just a total on receipt! I am genuinely saddened to say I will not return. P.

08/05/2026: After an original mistake with the order, the correct food was very good. Huge portions (too big if anything). Very good fish. Staff friendly and happy to acknowledge error.

02/05/2026: I love the "Taco Chips." They have ground beef, a kind of pico de gallo, and melted cheese. They're delicious, 100% recommended. They cost €5.50. I also tried the kebabs, and they were good too.

11/08/2025: Nice pub and food but the owner seems like the most bitter man. If you don’t like serving customers don’t own a bar. After an afternoon of good food and a really nice server, boyfriend and I got up to pay and had the owner roll his eyes in our face when we asked to split the bill. No chat out of him just pure annoyance. Would be rating it lower if not for the kind bartender woman who was serving us before this. Fine establishment as long as you avoid the owner.

28/08/2025: The best bar in Sligo for Live Music and great atmosphere. Lots of funny and nice locals, great music, perfect pub atmosphere. We liked it a lot and would come back without any second thought.

01/06/2026: The food is okay , staff are terrible , why is there an option for customer service if they are just gonna call out ur table number ?? I don’t know where you got them but I’d suggest a whole new group of employees

24/05/2026: Everything was basically fine until I went to the toilet. Tell me, do I need to teleport somewhere first just to close the door? Because it literally smashes right into the toilet bowl and won't let you inside. Who is this toilet space even designed for—hobbits? What on earth was the designer thinking when they planned all this?

18/04/2026: ATU was great, we went to the Farmer's Market in the Car park this Saturday. The University looks amazing.

06/02/2026: The actual college itself is grand, the layout can take a bit of getting used to but it has great amenities and all of the lecturers have been pretty knowledgeable and happy to take questions. However given the amount of students, the parking situation is an absolute joke. I’d say a good chunk of people (both students and staff) are getting to the college by car, there aren’t NEARLY enough places to park!
