The best restaurants in Sligo

21/10/2025: Oysters were absolutely delicious! Will definitely be back for more. The staff probably could not be more apathetic and disinterested if they tried. I came in through the back by accident and took a seat, not knowing orders must be made at the counter (some signs around the restaurant might help in this regard), I was sat there a good 10-15 min with no one providing any kind of assistance. I had to get the attention of a waitress who then informed me of the procedure to order at the counter. Every single person working there looked as lifeless as the oysters being served, I didn't see any staff member smile once. It just made the entire experience a little glum... The setting itself was nice and comfortable enough, but I felt like I was imposing by simply being a customer... I think some motivation is needed for the staff?

29/09/2025: We used to live in New Orleans, La. USA which is renowned for its oysters and I have to say that Sligo Oyster Experience has the best oysters we have ever had anywhere in the world! We had the raw, herb baked and cheese baked oysters. This is a MUST stop if you are anywhere near Sligo. PS, the vegetable soup is divine!

10/11/2025: I popped in this morning for breakfast and was disappointed with the food quality. The avocado was clearly spoiled brown, mushy, and definitely not safe to eat. They applied a 15% discount, but this isn’t about the money; it’s about the serious health risk of serving food in that condition. It raises real concerns about food safety and cross-contamination in the kitchen. Totally unacceptable, and I really hope management addresses this issue promptly.

28/08/2025: The best bar in Sligo for Live Music and great atmosphere. Lots of funny and nice locals, great music, perfect pub atmosphere. We liked it a lot and would come back without any second thought.

01/10/2025: Lovely local bar. Always fun with the regulars. Perfect separate party room space too. Lovely stove fire during the colder seasons. Pool table, live sport also. 10min walk from Sligo town and last pub before Rosses Pt if you are heading from town. Bus stop and E bikes stop right outside door.

23/12/2025: Used to be a nice takeaway but sadly gone downhill really poor chips and the curry sauce has an overwhelming taste of limon! I will never be returning!

20/12/2025: Best pizza in town! Great value and lovely staff 👏 special mention for the garlic mayo which is unbelievable

06/02/2026: The actual college itself is grand, the layout can take a bit of getting used to but it has great amenities and all of the lecturers have been pretty knowledgeable and happy to take questions. However given the amount of students, the parking situation is an absolute joke. I’d say a good chunk of people (both students and staff) are getting to the college by car, there aren’t NEARLY enough places to park!

23/03/2026: Visit here when we don't have anywhere else to go but it is what it is, a fastfood place. Always clean and tidy, staff are friendly, toilets are always clean. Food is fine, would hesitate to visit

21/02/2026: Got a drive through here last week. Straight in, straight out. Drive through is a tad tight but pretty good quick service

21/07/2025: An absolute disgrace 😤 there prices and cost of produce are near extortionate, paying 3.25 for a chocolate muffin amd also paying a charge of 75 cent to use there tables and chairs ,plus paying 9.30 cent for two coffees with an added charge to use a chair ,thank god we are only passing through and will never be back FACT

25/06/2025: Tasty food and coffee. They only had granary bread but that was fine.

12/11/2025: As a local tubbercurry woman all these reviews telling you that this is the best takeaway in Tubber are lying. We got a fish and chips and a chicken burger and chips and safe to say the chips were freezing cold and the cod was far from fresh. I decided to give some to the cat since it wasn’t very nice but even she wasn’t a fan. I wouldn’t go here again the Chinese and apache and Valentino’s are all way nicer. Although the service was good and the chicken burger was nice but again it was freezing cold.

03/11/2025: The garavogue has turned into a dump of a pub with some of the most ignorant bouncers I've ever met. Thankfully I don't go out much but will make sure to not go back there.

22/09/2025: We had an excellent experience on Saturday for my sister in law to be’s hen party. We had a cocktail class, led by the very professional bar manager (I’m so sorry I cannot recall his name), expertly led and very accommodating, my sister is a wheelchair user and he brought the cocktail ingredients to her table and completed the demo - afterwards we went into Maeve’s for a drink where they cleared a table to ensure we all got to sit together at a low table to accommodate the wheelchair. We then went to Waxies for our dinner, we had a two course menu - the food was divine and the staff were absolutely lovely there also.. We returned to Garravogue later on for some dancing, a table was reserved for us alongside some complimentary shots!! Special shout out to Robbie, the head doorman - he was brilliant, nothing was ever an issue, he was so accommodating 😁

14/02/2026: Had dinner in the bar as restaurant was fully booked. Geeshan was a brilliant host, so friendly, couldn't do enough for us even though the bar was so busy! Very lucky to have him in the hotel!

11/02/2026: Very helpful and friendly staff. Clean modern room and bathroom. Nice bar and food. Good value for money.

16/02/2026: it’s ridiculous how ye have 2 different sets of prices for some things one for sitting in and one for takeaway the takeaways is cheaper and people think there getting stuff cheaper then they are it’s ridiculous other than that it was nice.

20/10/2025: The boss from Northeast China is kind. I ordered wonton noodles. They are delicious. If you pass by Silgo, you can come here to eat.

03/03/2026: Greta service and Greta atmosphere, the manager and super accommodating. Friendly and made sure we were looked after the whole time! Good was gorgeous.
