The best restaurants in Sligo

07/08/2026: A local fast-food restaurant open since 1971. The food is good and the menu is extensive. It's worth trying because it's an old-fashioned McDonald's, and places like this are becoming increasingly rare.

15/06/2026: Great takeaway place! Both the pizza and the chicken fillet kebab were very good! The men behind the counter were friendly.

08/06/2026: Called in on the off chance of a lunch time half pint and was pleasantly surprised by how welcoming the barman was. Add to that the quality of the beer (draught Guinness) was excellent and the atmosphere in the bar was superb. Thank you all

11/08/2025: Nice pub and food but the owner seems like the most bitter man. If you don’t like serving customers don’t own a bar. After an afternoon of good food and a really nice server, boyfriend and I got up to pay and had the owner roll his eyes in our face when we asked to split the bill. No chat out of him just pure annoyance. Would be rating it lower if not for the kind bartender woman who was serving us before this. Fine establishment as long as you avoid the owner.

17/07/2026: Visited home recently and couldn't resist A house special curry banging lads well missed from London

05/06/2026: Plus: large portions, curry sauce and rice were ok Negative: had chicken pad thai and chicken 4 in 1, I know its common to boil chicken at times not sre if thats how this chicken was cooked but unfortunately it was inedible. Complete gloupy and near glue like substance in parts, rock hard meat in others - had to leave both dishes as the quality of the chicken was shockingly poor. The chicken in the munch box was slightly better - but again wouldnt order again based on the quality of chicken in other two dishes. Will never order from here again given the low quality mea in the meals we received

07/07/2026: We came here to watch a rugby match at 11am. Many places werent open but this place was. Great set up with screens and sound. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. Happy to find the place amd very happy to get some food in as we had a day of fishing ahead of us.

15/07/2026: We got to tge restaurant at closing so had to use Drivethru which was totally fine. Staff at drive thru was very helpful and courteous.I had two hungry kids in the back so it helped the situation.

16/11/2025: WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! ordered a spice box and they didnt give it to us. not to mention the last time they took an hour and a half to come and it looked like there was a booger on the food and there was hair in it. terribly rude staff didnt even offer a refund or a new munch box. never order from here ive gotten food poisoning a few times from the chicken being uncooked too

06/08/2026: Lady was awesome and so kind to my daughter. Cant get good chinese food in California and was looking forward to this. Didnt disappoint and was great value. 3 adults and a kid ate for under €45 with a few apps too.

17/07/2026: Very nice cafe. Food is good, same with coffees. However, as a person who comes here regularly for the past few years, the service has dropped drastically. Had a few quite upsetting situations where the ladies added and decided to take their own tip from the total without telling me. Had another situation where I was not once, refused to accept my free begal and coffee loyalty stamps. Other than that. It's a nice place to visit. However I'd pay attention to the change you receive and the food you're given after you order.
