The best restaurants in Sligo

19/06/2025: I was alone in the restaurant but the owner son was very polite and chatty. I asked for extra hot and fresh chillies and he kindly chopped and brought it for. I enjoyed the dinner very much. For sure I will be returning to this restaurant on my monthly visit to the school. Thank You

31/05/2025: On two separate occasions we have ordered different takeaway curries. On both occasions the food was nothing like a tikka masala or a butter chicken. It was more like a korma, very little spice, more like a vegetable soup with coconut. Used to be great 5 years ago. Sad to say something has changed for the worse.

01/03/2025: The best Chinese restaurant in Sligo! I was in a hurry and the order was prepared very quickly! If you are walking along the beach at Rosses point and get hungry - this is a great choice! The price is not high and the food is very tasty!

10/07/2025: Absolutely LOVE this cafe!!! I wish we would have eaten here sooner in our short trip so we could go back again! We were dining with a larger group and every single person (children, too!!) enjoyed their breakfast!! Everything was delicious and out in a timely manner. The staff were all very kind and helpful. Absolutely get the fresh orange juice with your breakfast, nothing better!! Thanks for a wonderful experience 🤍

26/04/2025: Good coffee but stodgy doughnut filled with cheap jam. ? Changed ownership - false economies - coukd not currently recommend pastry and used to be great

17/04/2025: You can get your coffee very quickly, but don’t expect it to taste good. It has almost no flavor except for the milk. Either the coffee-making method is flawed, or the beans are weak in taste.

23/06/2025: Don’t bother ordering if you’re coeliac. I went in person and was told I had to order online while standing in the store just because it was a gluten-free order – apparently it’s company policy. Fine. But then they didn’t have the fries I’d ordered and swapped them for wedges. I asked if the wedges were gluten free and was told yes… Luckily, I double-checked the allergen info – they’re not. Clearly no proper allergen training, and tbh, if they can’t get that right, I don’t trust that my GF pizza wasn’t rolled in flour. Binned the whole lot.

18/07/2025: Fresh looking take away, with seating area. Loved the food. Kebabs are very large. Reg will feed a grown man. Taco fries were amazing. Very unique taco sauce guys making in the house. Thanks for feeding our family. Adding this place to my on the road take away speed dial!

29/06/2025: Zam Zam is a popular takeaway spot in Sligo, known for its huge kebabs and tasty pizzas. The portions are big and good for sharing, especially the special kebab which can easily feed 2 people. The food is flavorful, and prices are reasonable. Staff are friendly and the place stays open late, which is great for a night-time meal. Delivery service is also available and usually fast. However, sometimes the quality can be a bit inconsistent—chips may be soggy or sauce too much. The washroom could also be cleaner and better maintained. Overall, it’s a good place if you’re hungry and want something filling and quick.

14/07/2025: this pub is good for drinks with friends and family but has some weird rules about not being able to get food there if you’re not staying at the hotel.

04/07/2025: Great view of the harbor in an easy going pub with friendly service. We had the burger with fries and seafood chowder which were spot on for a rainy, windy day. The Bailey’s coffee and a pint of Guinness topped of the hearty lunch.

11/07/2025: Our first time in this restaurant as we were passing by. A very modern restaurant with a very extensive menu. The portions were very large and the food quality was excellent. As were the local staff who were very nice. Can highly recommend.

29/06/2025: Had the most wonderful weekend! Friendly staff from beginning to end of our stay. Room was clean and bright and had a beautiful view of the harbor and the mountains in the background. Lots of variety for breakfast, fry up was tasty, and the staff helpful and friendly. Holiday atmosphere, stunning surroundings and friendly people, definitely recommend. Thank you.

01/07/2025: We recently held our daughters 18th birthday party here, from the initial booking right up to the night the staff couldn’t do enough for us, our expectations were exceeded and everyone had a fantastic night, food was delicious and overall everything was perfect, fantastic venue to hold a party, special mention of gratitude to Fergal, Cian and Martin who went above and beyond on customer service, we will definitely be back, 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

29/05/2025: My wife and I dined there on the recommendation of our B&B host. We were not disappointed. The menu is all encompassing, the food is beautiful and the meals are large and very reasonably priced. The service too was good and the staff were very engaging. If you’re in the area, it’s well worth visiting 10/10

25/04/2025: Popped in for Sunday Lunch as we do any time we are staying in Bundoran. We got seated right away with no booking, but we came at a great time as unfortunately, anyone after us had to wait as there were bookings coming in. The Vegetable Soup for starters was delicious and we opted for the Roast Beef with Peppercorn Sauce and it was also very nice. Left us not fit for dessert!! All of the staff are extremely friendly and quick to accommodate to needs. Definitely recommend to anyone in the area or passing through!

22/01/2025: Stopped for a fish and chip and battered sausage it was uneatable greasy tasteless so disappointed as I was starving

06/07/2025: We were there on Friday 04.07.2025 for lunch. I ordered Ceasar salat and unfortunatelly had to return it into kitchen. They used roasted chicken breast which was really disgusting. They just kind of pull it on the top of the salad. The server wasnt too happy repeating to me that that is the meat they have until manager came over and she was much more accomodating. She said they have breaded chicken and sent it back to kitchen for me. 20 minutes later I got a new salad with a lump of tasteless tough deep fried chicken breast sitting on top of letucce bathed in mayo and sundried tomatoes oil. I would not recommend the salad to anybody. It actually turned my stomach and the chef should probably watch a few youtube videos or Google what are ingrediences that actually belong into Ceasar salad.

14/06/2025: Food and customer service could’ve been better.
