The best restaurants in Sligo

28/10/2025: I placed an online order, but their app is a joke. The promotional price wasn’t reflected in the bill, and they only accepted the order when I arrived at the counter to collect the food. On the bright side, I received it quickly since it was just fried chicken.

30/09/2025: First supermac burger meal I had,Superb,can't wait for return visit

15/08/2025: Ordered chicken kabab and got donner kabab. Called and asked why there was a mixup and was told they will give the right one next time. Really bad and wont be buying from here again

01/08/2025: Decent halal food. Thing they need to improve is the attitude of staff. Requested for dine in and the guy packed the food and didnt bother to tell me that my order is ready. I asked for ketchup and handed over the sachet as if I asked for a favor 🙈

11/07/2025: Our first time in this restaurant as we were passing by. A very modern restaurant with a very extensive menu. The portions were very large and the food quality was excellent. As were the local staff who were very nice. Can highly recommend.

29/09/2025: I was recently offered a MA here, offered after course had already begun, I had accepted a course elsewhere and paid for it. I would have liked to have done my MA here. But they would not offset the cost. I have earlier done a BA here innthe mid 00's and it was poorly thought, butnO was led to believe things had improved. I have studied in universities in USA, UK amd several in Ireland Inc UL, UCC, DIT, Maynooth. Sligo IT /ATU has been by far my worst experience

15/10/2025: Food was nice and reasonably priced.Wraps could have used something on the side,a small salad or a few chips/crisps.

01/09/2025: The best decision we made for lunch in our 2 week trip. The chorizo crunch wrap and the cheesesteak roll were amazing and came out quick. Their lattes are on point too 😍 10/10

05/07/2025: I am a chocoholic - I've sampled the best chocolates in Belgium, Italy and the Netherlands and I have to say I am obsessed with Clo's Atlantic dark chocolate bar, made with Knocknarea honey, hazelnuts and sea salt. I buy it from Fallon and Byrne in Dublin - and from here when I'm home. It is utterly indulgent and delicious and doesn't taste overly processed or bulked out with cheaper ingredients - like many Irish "artisan" chocolate bars on the market. I've never eaten in the cafe but I've bought chocolate and desserts to take away from here on several occasions and I am so impressed with the quality, particularly the local whiskey chocolates. However, I can't speak for the coffee or pastries. I love the whole layout and cheerful look of the bakery/cafe too. The staff have always been kind and helpful. Sligo has a lot of very average bakeries so we are lucky to have a French style bakery in the town. Be aware that there is a 20c charge for a paper bag and they charge for the boxes you buy chocolates in.

26/04/2025: Good coffee but stodgy doughnut filled with cheap jam. ? Changed ownership - false economies - coukd not currently recommend pastry and used to be great

12/08/2025: A typical Irish pub in a small town on the way to the Slieve League. The atmosphere is warm, the staff young and friendly, and the food excellent. We tried their superb burger. A special mention: the beer prices are slightly lower than the average of other pubs in the area! We didn't get a chance to try the desserts, but we did see a pretty good brownie pass by.

04/08/2025: We were on holiday and just popped in. Great satay chicken and salt and chilli prawns. In fact going to say best satay we've ever had from a takeaway, delicious!

12/07/2025: This restaurant has one picnic table outside otherwise it’s takeaway only. Food is good and service is good.

04/10/2025: Best alternative for KFC, great chicken, amazing chips, all for very cheap. You can easily eat a lot and good for less tha €10 per person

07/08/2025: Doesn't say on the Manu but a mixed kabab is dam good.

01/10/2025: Lovely local bar. Always fun with the regulars. Perfect separate party room space too. Lovely stove fire during the colder seasons. Pool table, live sport also. 10min walk from Sligo town and last pub before Rosses Pt if you are heading from town. Bus stop and E bikes stop right outside door.

03/11/2025: A very tasty burger and chips. Reasonably priced and fairly generous portions. Would recommend.

18/10/2025: Give it a miss, burnt and drenched in grease had to throw it in the bin 🗑️

29/08/2025: Jumped in for a pint during a shower. Great spot, great guinness, kind staff. Will have to stop for food one day if its as good as the pints it'll be a treat.

29/08/2025: Avoid like the plague. Fish was mushy, batter swimming in oil. Dry fries, not homemade but frozen. Chowder inedible. Only bright spot was the portion of homemade onion rings.
