10/11/2024: a great view and delicious food, our first ever clam chowder and it set the bar. Such a beautiful view on a good day, we will be back

23/10/2024: Just a quick coffee,very lively bar area, spotlessly clean hotel/bathrooms / bright and cheerful on a dull windy day !!

22/01/2025: Stopped for a fish and chip and battered sausage it was uneatable greasy tasteless so disappointed as I was starving

18/11/2024: Great place to get take away. Two lovely ladies behind the counter. The young lady that served me was a credit to this business, with her friendly, positive attitude.

03/10/2024: Really lovely place! I could tell the closeness of the staff by walking in. I understood the locality of this chipper. Food was really good. They did forget our chicken dippers but I won’t hold it against them, it was late.

03/03/2025: This is a great location if your visiting Sligo but a 4 star hotel it is not. Dated furniture and uncomfortable beds expose that the hotel needs investment. Recently introduced EV charging point is a good addition but beware of the €5 / hour charge over and above the electricity fee which makes it unusable as it is only a 6/7kWh charger. Charging will take up to 11 hours costing 55+ 30 for the electricity.. and thats if you get up and disconnect when complete. Use the charging station in the train carpark near by .

08/01/2025: Nice hotel with excellent beds, personally only missed a bath but an excellent shower. Excellent wellness and nice swimming pool. Price/quality is fine. Close to the center.

12/11/2024: My partner and I were staying in Enniscrone for a couple of nights and thought we would check out the surfs up café for something light to eat on the Sunday afternoon. I had seen the variety of vegetarian and vegan options they had, so definitely had to try it. My partner isn't vegetarian, but had the lentil and vegetable stew, and I had a veggie burger with sweet potato fries. We were very happy with our very tasty choices. I tried her lentil stew and will be back to get a bowl myself next time. The women serving were lovely and service was good. We had seen the café earlier and it was very busy, but were planning to come back later anyway, and it had quitened down by around 3 o'clock. This cafe is perfect for a casual, seaside stop for some lovely home made food by people who are into what they do. It is very small, so I would expect to wait a bit if it was busy, which I think is understandable. We look forward to calling back there again, All the best to all at the surfs up café. 🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌞👍

03/02/2025: Chicken Wings starter to share which were OK however didn’t seem cooked to order with some sauce burned under the wings in the dish. Then left 40 minutes for main course. One table who sat before us had their starters cleared after us and their mains finished well before ours arrived. We did ask a member of what seemed management (in blue shirt) to check on our food. This member of staff never returned to our table but rather had a waitress let us know that our food was on the way..we waited a further 10 minutes. Two other tables sat after our starter was cleared and had their meal finished before ours arrived. Chicken & Bacon Vol a Vonts weren’t hot and the Burger was dry and crumbly with no sauce on the burger. Both were served with chips which needed the oil changed. A Bank Holiday isn’t a good enough excuse for this service and poor food.

07/01/2025: Years Tavern has been a favourite place to stop for food when we are in the area. On entry it's extremely inviting, has a very warm ambience that makes you feel very comfortable and cosy.Staff are friendly and efficient. Clean and tidy.

05/03/2025: Overally good, nice food, quick service, nice employees, only problem is the drive through, the road is narrow, I know we live in country of Micras and Golfs but XJ or 7er are barely squeezing through, obviously that's not the staff fault but maybe the upper management could think of adding few inches in width at some point

23/11/2024: Sorry. Came specifically for the Guinness stew and it was Utterly Disappointing. Just carrots and beef sitting on top of smashers. No stew whatsoever. And the roast didn't come with a pudding. What??? Look Elsewhere in Sligo ~

19/01/2025: Awful,absolutely awful. I went with friends. We ordered are food then go get a table we sat there for 35min until we went up and said that we were waiting for more than 30min the man at the cashier said are order was probably on the the board after us telling him it’s not then we told him again that it was not and he said a few trays were going to be coming out in a few minutes Then it came out they first went to the wrong table when we got the food the chips were stale and so cold then they forgot someone order (which was chicken) so they went back up to say that they forgot it and said that are chips are stale even tho we got 2 warm chips and my friend got her chicken but it will not make up for that terrible hour (probably more) and the woman who was at the counter was also rude. Terrible moment as we were celebrating my friends birthday (the girl who didn’t get her chicken)

16/02/2025: Fell upon this cafe while on a getaway to Sligo and it was lovely. Coffee was the best I've ever had and the service was great. Small yet cosy and would absolutely recommend to anyone!

26/10/2024: The bread was stale , the poached eggs were certainly not freshly prepared, rock hard , the ham chunks average, the scrambled eggs looked and tasted like mashed boiled eggs and the Coffee was flavoured water . My wife’s cappuccino was warm milk . I can’t seriously think the owners are committed to good food . The people serving us did a good job and were pleasant , well done to them.
