The best restaurants in Sligo

01/04/2026: We went for lunch on a Saturday. The place was empty, but the service was excellent. When we arrived, they gave us a complimentary plate of prawn crackers. It's NOT a buffet (which we thought it was because of the old photos on the menu). The food isn't the best in the world, but it's tasty. They have set menus that are worthwhile, and I loved the chicken noodles. A set menu for one person (starter, main course, and side) + noodles = €28 (two of us ate and had leftovers).

21/12/2025: Everything was a brilliant experience and service was above and beyond the call. Food tasted amazing and came out in record time, and the staff were super accommodating. Would definitely go again and recommend it to anyone in the Sligo area!

10/09/2025: Was ordered a tender meal and found it really good and well cooked and the fries were really scrumptious recommended

17/08/2025: Great food, the pizza was nice not dry not oily they add lots of toppings to your pizza, the chips were also seasoned they just needed a bit more salt but except everything was great very underrated spot people gotta stop hating on pizza max.

03/12/2025: Absolute worst, undercooked fish, overcooked chicken , frozen chips . I ordered and paid for a bottle of coke and when I got there was told we don't do bottles only cans with a shrug . Avoid . Dont k ow how they don't have a 1 star rating. - stars if possible.

12/09/2025: I'v just had fish and chips to eat in the pub. I would recommend the little chip sligo to anybody the food was delicious we will definitely be back next time we are in Sligo

26/02/2026: I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding an order I placed earlier today through Just Eat. There was an issue with the delivery location, and unfortunately my order was delivered to the wrong address. I received only one missed call from the delivery driver. When I returned the call, he informed me that the order had already been delivered and advised me to contact the restaurant directly. I then contacted the restaurant to explain the situation. Unfortunately, the staff member I spoke with was extremely rude and unprofessional and caused further unpleasant arguments. She made me even more upset. She did not introduce herself, and when I asked for her name, she refused to provide it, stating that she did not have to disclose her name and that she was the supervisor. During the conversation, she repeatedly blamed me for entering the wrong address, which I did not do. I have previously ordered from your restaurant without any issues. When I explained that the delivery driver had only attempted to contact me once, she responded sarcastically, asking whether the driver was expected to keep calling if I did not answer. She also asked in a sarcastic tone whether I wanted a refund or another pizza. I paid €32 for this order, and I believe it was unfair that the delivery driver handed my order to someone else without making further reasonable attempts to contact me. I later contacted Just Eat and was issued a refund, as there may have been an issue with the location services on the app. However, the manner in which I was treated by your staff member was unacceptable. I respectfully request that this matter be addressed and that the staff member involved provide an apology for her unprofessional conduct. I also hope that steps will be taken to ensure a higher standard of customer service in the future. If this matter is not resolved appropriately, I will consider raising the issue with the relevant consumer services authority. Thank you for your attention to this matter
