Sligo Park Hotel & Leisure Club

Sligo
11/06/2026: Lovely and very friendly place, staff always very helpful and helpful
06/06/2026: Stayed for a wedding, had a very pleasant time. The views are beautiful and the reception for the wedding was delightful. The rooms are very comfortable and the voya spa products in the bathroom and give a luxury feel. Anything we needed the staff were very hospitable. the breakfast option for gluten free wasn’t great and unfortunately there was contamination with a hair in my mushrooms.

Coach Lane

Sligo
11/05/2026: After a flight from NYC and drive from Dublin while exploring Sligo we happened into Donaghy's bar. We were meet by Andy who sat us for an early dinner. We started out with a delicious cocktail & a Guinness. We ate in the bar area starting with their homemade loaf that was really good. Seafood chowder and an order of bruschetta was next. Our mains were beef guinness stew & fisherman pie. Everything was delicious. Andy took his time to welcome us to Sligo before moving on to the Coach Lane to prepare for the dinner crowd. If you are ever in Sligo this place is a must. They have been in business over 30 years.
07/05/2026: Ordered a had two steaks, both overcooked

The Venue

Strandhill
03/06/2026: We would have loved to eat there, but unfortunately dogs aren't allowed… What a shame. This is the first time this has happened to us in a restaurant in Ireland.
30/05/2026: We received a top recommendation from our landlady. On our first evening, we had a table in the middle of the dining room. The food was so good that we made a reservation again for our second evening. We received a very friendly welcome and even got a window seat with a fantastic view. The pasta I had was excellent, and the steak was cooked to perfection. A truly lovely restaurant.

The Driftwood

Rosses point
02/05/2026: Our one-night stay in room 6 was very pleasant. We did also enjoy the dinner at the restaurant — the burgers were decent, and the waterfront view was truly beautiful. The quirky artwork felt like a cherry on top.
30/04/2026: This review is about the Driftwood's restaurant/bar: We had a light lunch here and sat outside with great views of Sligo Bay and Knocknarea in the distance. The sandwiches were delicious and the waiter deserved a medal for coping with a large group of hikers who arrived unannounced. During low season (up until the beginning of May), they only open for lunch from Thursday to Sunday. Highly recommended.

Eala Bhan

Sligo
16/05/2026: Was excited about the thought of coming here do booked on our way to Sligo. Was really disappointed in the menu choices that had mismatched flavours and seemed gimmicky. The fish was relatively tasteless especially combined with a strongly flavoured capsicum, saffron and tomato risotto. Have tasted far better seafood in other coastal places in Ireland. The balance of what was used in their menu lacked the skills if good cuisine. The desert was hilarious but also flavourless. All in all this was a gourmet disappointment that was expensive and not worth it. Be warned! The staff also seemed disinterested in their work. Head to Doolin if you want fresh and interesting local cuisine.
05/05/2026: I really wanted to love Eala Bhán — the presentation is genuinely beautiful and clearly takes effort. Every plate looks like a piece of art. But beyond the visuals, the experience just didn’t deliver. The “Wild Atlantic Way” starter (€18.95) was essentially one fish ball, one scallop, and one langoustine. Portion-wise, it felt more like a tasting bite than a starter — and taste-wise it was only okay, nothing memorable. The main (“Boat Comes In” €39.95) was even more disappointing: two tiny pieces of fish in a seaside town, with a small portion of rice that was heavily over-sauced. For €40, both the quantity and quality felt off. For comparison, the fish and chips at The Harp Tavern nearby were far more satisfying, more flavourful, and costed €16. Overall: visually impressive, but the food itself was just fair and the portions/pricing feel completely out of balance.

Hargadon Bros

Sligo
07/06/2026: Quaint stone-floor pub 🥰 Taste highlight 🤪💪🏻 The best burger 🍔 on our 14-day road trip 🤗🤘🏻‼️ 🚨 Be sure to reserve 1-2 days in advance! For example, we reserved our table for four for the next day via email. I've never received four replies to an email in less than five minutes! ☝🏻 That alone deserves a separate award 🥇 👍🏻 Our server even spoke a little German, which has a special charm with the Irish 😍 For the food ☝🏻 The H Burger 🍔 = 🤪😍🤪 The New Yorker 🍔 = 🤪😍🤪 The Smoked Bacon 🍔 = 🤪😍🤪 Spaghetti Aiolo + 5+5 extra 🍤 more Carbonara but irrelevant because = ☝🏻🤪😍🤪😍🥰‼️) Anyone who goes there and wants to "feast" on food with a starter + main + 1-3 beers 🍺 should expect to pay €50 per person 💪🏻 But for the best burger in all of Ireland 🇮🇪 It's absolutely worth it. However, ☝🏻 you have to be able to tolerate a noisy environment 😑 which is the only minor drawback in our review. Regarding parking 🅿️ there: Honestly? This restaurant isn't for those who don't like to walk and always want to park right in front 🚪. However, if you're only willing to walk 3-5 minutes, you can park for free from 6:30 PM ☝🏻‼️ in the DUNNES supermarket parking lot 🅿️ and walk there. Maps makes it possible 😜😎 We'd love to come back again sometime!
30/05/2026: Well jesus lord doesn't Jackie know what she's doing, exceptional in every element of hospitality, each item delivered with a smile and side of craic. God bless her I will be back.

Ox Mountain Lodge

Sligo
12/03/2026: Wonderful stay at this campsite. The place is beautiful. Thank you to the hosts for their kindness and patience, and apologies for any inconvenience during our stay. Highly recommend this place.
03/02/2026: Update - We came again after a year, everything is still perfect 😄 Our family had an absolutely magical two-night stay in this converted double-decker bus nestled in the mountains. What an incredible experience! The kids were beyond thrilled to sleep in a real red bus, and it made the whole trip feel like an adventure. The views from the bus were simply breathtaking – we woke up to stunning mountain scenery every morning. Dermot and Monica were fantastic - super responsive and helpful. They clearly care about their guests' experience. The location was also perfect for exploring the surrounding area; there was so much to see and do nearby. It's important to note that this is a glamping experience, so the utilities are basic, as you'd expect. However, the bus itself was well-equipped and warm, and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. All the essential facilities were available inside the bus, making it surprisingly convenient. If you're looking for a unique and memorable
