The best restaurants in Sligo

17/02/2025: Cant recommend enough. You can see effort is put into ever coffee made and all food prepared. Great quality rare to find these days. Thank you, keep up the great work.

17/02/2025: Was pleasently surprised with the quality of food and service provided. Everything is homemade and you can taste it. The owner running the Cart was friendly and open.Will be returning, small gem in Sligo highly reccomend.

14/05/2025: This is the most horrible establishment I have ever seen here.. I went in to have lunch and ordered food.. I had a small bottle of water with medicine.. Some woman waitress brazenly ran up to me and demanded that I remove the bottle, but I didn't have a bag or a purse.. And what kind of nonsense did I order? Why can't I drink my water, especially since there was medicine in it.. She started shoving water from a dirty bottle of this establishment at me!!! Ugh, that was my last visit. To this dirty establishment.

05/05/2025: Fantastic pizza, thin crust and great taste. Pasta dish serving was huge, bigger than an American dish serving. Bacon & Cheese burger was a true 8oz burger, it was massive! Highly recommend for dine in or take-out.

16/05/2025: Ordered two enchiladas when they arrives both where burnt and cheese was overly cooked. Waited long enough so and was starving. Very disappointed portion sizes have shrunk. Outside seating area is very basic with wonky benches and plastic table.

12/05/2025: We had such a wonderful night at McLaughlins. Myriam was so warm and welcoming. The place has an amazing atmosphere, especially as we were treated to a large trad jam which left us full of joy. A definite highlight of our trip.

16/03/2025: Absolutely joyful place. So warm & friendly. Miriam is a proper gem & made us feel incredibly welcome.

28/05/2024: Closed. Looks like might have been closed for a while. Hope it re opens next time we visit.

09/05/2025: Tried to book a room, to attend exams in Sligo. Price was 320 for 2 nights no breakfast, I phoned them and then price jumped to 338 within 10 minutes then jumped to 378 in less than an hour of 1st inquiry. RIP OFF. phoned them and they said nothing they could do. Very disappointing that students are being ripped off like this.

09/04/2025: I took a group on the private oyster farm tour in Strandhill yesterday. They had such an amazing time. Set in one of the most scenic parts of Ireland, Aisling was a wealth of knowledge about the fine art of oyster farming and provided the group with plenty of world-class yet locally sourced cuisine to sample. I'll definitely be recommending visitors to enjoy this one of a kind experience.

23/11/2024: We thought there was music on the night we went in but unfortunately there wasn't. Still though, the coziest bar we found in Sligo, friendly staff and great drinks.

26/05/2025: I recommend Garavoguehenstag without hesitation. Yasmina went above and beyond to take the stress out of planning everything from the cowgirl themed activities and dinner to the hotel stay, all of which were excellent. She was patient, pleasant and helpful throughout which meant that all we had to do was arrive and enjoy the experience. We all had a brilliant time

21/04/2025: We had the goat cheese sandwiches. Mine was a gluten-free one, and both were very tasty. Coffee was very nice as well. All the sandwiches can be gluten-free.

03/05/2025: Had the pleasure of staying in.the double decker bus last night views are Incredible kids loved it got to play with hunter the family dog who led us threw the woods with the kids every where the kids went hunter wasn't far behind wel defo be bk perfect location to get away

03/02/2025: Our family had an absolutely magical two-night stay in this converted double-decker bus nestled in the mountains. What an incredible experience! The kids were beyond thrilled to sleep in a real red bus, and it made the whole trip feel like an adventure. The views from the bus were simply breathtaking – we woke up to stunning mountain scenery every morning. Dermot and Monica were fantastic - super responsive and helpful, They clearly care about their guests' experience. The location was also perfect for exploring the surrounding area; there was so much to see and do nearby. It's important to note that this is a glamping experience, so the utilities are basic, as you'd expect. However, the bus itself was well-equipped and warm, and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. All the essential facilities were available inside the bus, making it surprisingly convenient. If you're looking for a unique and memorable

02/05/2025: My God, once I said I'm gluten free, she asked if I'm celiac and straight away puts on gloves and grabbed a board that's stored away and the sandwich was lovely, I never seen this happened before from other places just witnessing that, shows me that they are careful.
