05/07/2026: I am home from the states on vacation and had a family dinner in the Embassy, to my surprise it was for my 60th birthday. From the moment we got there the service was amazing the food was a 10 I had the chicken wings as a starter- they were the best wings I have ever had Most of the table had steaks which were tender and delicious I had a burger- the fries we homemade and the burger was juicy and delicious we went on to have dessert which also was amazing The staff were attentive and everything was perfect thank you so much for making my birthday just perfect Carol Watters Myrtle beach South Carolina

17/06/2026: Rooms ok layed out a little goofy, but great location.

13/06/2026: Very comfortable room, got a last minute free upgrade which was much appreciated. One problem with a fan but resolved immediately. Pool a welcomed addition and food was lovely. Only issue, and it's minor, was the water machine rang out of water and there was no outdoor ash trays. Overall had a good stay and would recommend!

03/02/2026: Update - We came again after a year, everything is still perfect 😄 Our family had an absolutely magical two-night stay in this converted double-decker bus nestled in the mountains. What an incredible experience! The kids were beyond thrilled to sleep in a real red bus, and it made the whole trip feel like an adventure. The views from the bus were simply breathtaking – we woke up to stunning mountain scenery every morning. Dermot and Monica were fantastic - super responsive and helpful. They clearly care about their guests' experience. The location was also perfect for exploring the surrounding area; there was so much to see and do nearby. It's important to note that this is a glamping experience, so the utilities are basic, as you'd expect. However, the bus itself was well-equipped and warm, and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. All the essential facilities were available inside the bus, making it surprisingly convenient. If you're looking for a unique and memorable

16/04/2026: Stumbled into this little gem of a coffee shop at 9am and honestly, it felt like finding a secret level in a game ☕✨ While most places were still half-asleep, this spot was already buzzing with warmth, great coffee, and the kind of calm morning energy that just sets your whole day right. The prices? Almost suspiciously good for how quality everything is. If you’re an early riser or just someone chasing a peaceful start to the day, this place is a total win. Cozy, affordable, and quietly brilliant. 5 stars without hesitation 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

05/09/2025: I spent an exceptional evening at McLaughlin's Bar - the people, music (trad session), drinks and the venue itself were just amazing! I'll never forget it. 100% recommended! If you're in Sligo it's a MUST. It felt so authentic and I was stunned by the Irish hospitality. Thanks so much to everyone, especially to Myriam :)

20/07/2026: We had the Bianconi pizza and the lasagna, and both were excellent. After traveling around Ireland and trying Italian food in several places, this was definitely one of our favorite meals. The pizza had a great crust with quality toppings, and the lasagna was rich, comforting, and full of flavor. What really made the evening stand out, though, was our waitress, Isabelle. She was genuinely kind, friendly, and attentive without ever feeling over the top. She made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down, and that kind of service is something you remember long after the meal is over. Thank you, Isabelle, for making our last dinner in Ireland such a great experience. We’ll happily be back the next time we’re in Sligo.

01/08/2026: Forever and always the smiliest and tastiest coffee spot in Sligo town. Always pop in, even if you are just dashing past to grab a bus and only have 30 seconds to spare.

09/05/2026: Since leaving San Francisco in '22 I've been looking for a good taco and burrito. The wait is over!!!! I can't say enough great things about this place, the staff, and the FOOD. It's exceptional. Need a Mexican food fix, this place is it. Get the mango salsa, too... it's out of this world.

28/07/2026: Beautiful setting but rather cold welcome. The dishes were quite expensive for the small portions. A small Irish steak cost €32, ordered rare and served barely lukewarm. They added a 10% service charge to the bill, which is unacceptable and illegal. I've been going to Sligo for 30 years and I always have lunch at Hargadon's; this was the last time.

28/07/2026: Terrible service, very expensive prices. They forced us to leave a 10% tip. I do not recommend it.

11/05/2026: Horrible food, we ordered a burger tasted like just like a come out from someone's fridge and microwaved. The chips is even worse than KFC fries. I would not recommend anyone for trying their food, you gonna regret it from every second

27/06/2026: Great hotel Breakfast could have more pastry selection. Dinner was lovely. Reception staff amazing and restaurant staff are lovely. Over all great hotel would definitely recommend.

15/04/2026: My family stayed in the Riverside Hotel recently while my husband was attending hospital. We have stayed here several times, but this stay especially warranted a review. The lady at reception, Erin, quite literally moved heaven and earth for us. She went above and beyond to help us. She is an absolute credit to the hotel! A lovely woman, the hotel is blessed to have her!

12/06/2026: Ordered takeaway for four, the flavor pretty authentic with good portion, recommended.
