03/02/2026: Update - We came again after a year, everything is still perfect 😄 Our family had an absolutely magical two-night stay in this converted double-decker bus nestled in the mountains. What an incredible experience! The kids were beyond thrilled to sleep in a real red bus, and it made the whole trip feel like an adventure. The views from the bus were simply breathtaking – we woke up to stunning mountain scenery every morning. Dermot and Monica were fantastic - super responsive and helpful. They clearly care about their guests' experience. The location was also perfect for exploring the surrounding area; there was so much to see and do nearby. It's important to note that this is a glamping experience, so the utilities are basic, as you'd expect. However, the bus itself was well-equipped and warm, and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. 05/09/2025: I spent an exceptional evening at McLaughlin's Bar - the people, music (trad session), drinks and the venue itself were just amazing! I'll never forget it. 100% recommended! If you're in Sligo it's a MUST. It felt so authentic and I was stunned by the Irish hospitality. Thanks so much to everyone, especially to Myriam :)

22/02/2026: Went for lunch with my son, daughter and newborn grand children...what fantastic experience from the staff to the character of the pla and of course the food! The menu is extensive and our food was top class

21/02/2026: Lovely find. Delicious food and warm staff. I had the steak sandwich, which was fabulous. Lovely decor in the pub, well kept. Will have to return for a few pints.

30/11/2025: A bunch of work staff were here to celebrate ahead of Christmas. Had to pay a deposit in advance. Night before meal manager called the organizer to say the menu might be limited and the full menu not available. Despite all this we went ahead. Noise deafening from large group behind. However not the restaurants fault. The bread and dips were delicious. No charge. However the food prices were just too much. 22 euro for a chicken tikka masala? It was the only option I felt I had.. the chicken supreme was almost 27 euro and a colleague had it but it was tiny and dry. Disappointing but we had fun ourselves but overall I don’t think I’d go back.

28/10/2025: We went there for a drink without going to the restaurant. The bartender is very professional and friendly, and the pub decor, dating back to 1781, is worth seeing. The Guinness is particularly delicious, and that evening there was a Latin music trio with Felip & the 2 Eddies—the icing on the cake!

20/03/2026: Perhaps I was expecting too much. Made reservations for last Sunday night. We were both disappointed with our dinner. We ordered a glass of Merlot and a glass of prosecco and the merlot was fine but the prosecco was brought to the table in a small bottle and left there without opening or pouring it into a glass. I ordered the T Bone which was the thinnest cut of steak I have ever seen. I ordered it medium rare but it was such a thin cut that it was well done. My wife ordered the fillet steak and it was dry and over cooked. Dessert was fine and the service was good. Beautiful rooms but unfortunately not worth the price.

08/03/2026: Would have liked to stay longer but there were young children past 8pm sitting at the bar with their parents. I didn't expect kids to be allowed late in a cocktail bar on a Saturday night... kinda ruined the vibe. Otherwise cool spot.

05/02/2026: Vibes and energy were lovely, went form quiet 3 people in pub to a bunch of younger people salsa dancig for about an hour Interesting cocktail menu. Not like menu online

27/10/2025: I’m really disappointed with how my cousin and I were treated at this pub. My cousin is autistic, and instead of showing any understanding or patience, the staff were rude and dismissive toward her. We were made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, which completely ruined what was meant to be a nice night out… Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and kindness — especially those who might experience the world differently. I’d really hope the management takes this seriously and provides proper training to their bouncers especially on how to treat all customers with understanding and empathy. We definitely won’t be returning until we know that’s changed. Literally pushing my autistic cousin out at the end of the night which nearly made her fall down the stairs of this pub!

03/02/2026: Excellent stay The hotel is well set up for families. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Pool and other facilities were perfect for kids.

17/03/2026: Excellent food. The portion size is very good and 10.95€ is a good price in my opinion. It gives a very authentic style eith mexican lemonade etc. I had the burrito and the enchiladas both was great. And I don't see a problem if one salsa and one type of beans is run out at 7pm that can happen everywhere.
