10/11/2025: I popped in this morning for breakfast and was disappointed with the food quality. The avocado was clearly spoiled brown, mushy, and definitely not safe to eat. They applied a 15% discount, but this isn’t about the money; it’s about the serious health risk of serving food in that condition. It raises real concerns about food safety and cross-contamination in the kitchen. Totally unacceptable, and I really hope management addresses this issue promptly.

30/12/2025: Been a loyal customer for su way for over 7 years, eating the same sandwich which is a hearty italian bmt with bacon, the amount of pepperoni and salami were supposed to be 6 each yat only got 4 each, since when is it 1 euro for some grated cheese??? Also was overcharged, my 2x subway sandwiches were supposed to come to 18.40e yat I paid 20.20e, corporate will be notified about this and its a scam on all customers for my point of view.

02/11/2025: I have ordered home delivery from Subway on Mail Coach rd. One sandwich was missing, when I reng to say that they offered free sandwich nxt time even tho I said I don't know when I'll ever order again. No cash back. No delivering missing sandwich. Rest of sandwiches were poorly wraped, and there was no indication on what is what sandwich. Had to open them all and check. 5 people at the house waiting for order, and one of us just didn't get it. Awful experience, wouldn't recommend!

05/07/2025: I am a chocoholic - I've sampled the best chocolates in Belgium, Italy and the Netherlands and I have to say I am obsessed with Clo's Atlantic dark chocolate bar, made with Knocknarea honey, hazelnuts and sea salt. I buy it from Fallon and Byrne in Dublin - and from here when I'm home. It is utterly indulgent and delicious and doesn't taste overly processed or bulked out with cheaper ingredients - like many Irish "artisan" chocolate bars on the market. I've never eaten in the cafe but I've bought chocolate and desserts to take away from here on several occasions and I am so impressed with the quality, particularly the local whiskey chocolates. However, I can't speak for the coffee or pastries. I love the whole layout and cheerful look of the bakery/cafe too. The staff have always been kind and helpful. Sligo has a lot of very average bakeries so we are lucky to have a French style bakery in the town. Be aware that there is a 20c charge for a paper bag and they charge for the boxes you buy chocolates in.

26/04/2025: Good coffee but stodgy doughnut filled with cheap jam. ? Changed ownership - false economies - coukd not currently recommend pastry and used to be great

21/07/2025: An absolute disgrace 😤 there prices and cost of produce are near extortionate, paying 3.25 for a chocolate muffin amd also paying a charge of 75 cent to use there tables and chairs ,plus paying 9.30 cent for two coffees with an added charge to use a chair ,thank god we are only passing through and will never be back FACT

15/11/2025: I went to opend day was super busy. but the lecture sets and students there were helpful answering my questions and sizeable cafeteria . would recommend to other if they're thinking about attending here

01/12/2025: I rang many times, no answer. I went in person to the shop ,waited for 10 mins, no service. They need extra staff.

13/11/2025: Ordered on the app, arrived at the store 10 minutes after the order was placed and the app said it was ready just as I arrived. Went in to collect the pizza, there was 3 staff members working and all 3 of them were just chatting amongst themselves for 15 minutes before even acknowledging me, but they did see me come into the store. They weren’t preparing any food or doing any tasks, just straight up standing still chatting to each other. Because of this, by the time I actually got acknowledged and received my food (which was ready and just sitting on the counter the whole time) the food was cold. This is shocking and has happened so many times to myself and friends, but since it was so long since I ordered a dominoes, I said I’d give them another try which was a massive mistake. In future, ill choose other takeaways where it doesn’t take 15 minutes to be acknowledged which is a shame because dominoes is nice, WHEN THE FOOD ISNT COLD.

20/10/2025: The boss from Northeast China is kind. I ordered wonton noodles. They are delicious. If you pass by Silgo, you can come here to eat.

06/10/2025: Most of the time we ordered it was okay but we got the completely wrong order after we phoned in and we're told that we hadn't ordered it when we did, the staff took no responsibility for it and left us out with the completely wrong order

19/01/2026: 😋😝😜😛💚💚💚💚💚 I Just Get The Fish and Chips Ordered The Staff Was So Kind It Opens From 4pm Until 3 30am 7 Days A Week Hopefully It Has A Re-Turn Deposit Scheme. 💯💯💯💯💯

29/12/2025: Waiting staff wearing a scarf due to chilly temp in restaurant. Not very attentive as on their phones. Waited almost 1 hr for food from ordering, preference given to take aways. Staff serving our meal had her thumb in our main course, food barely warm when arrived and our starter came with main course, and was limp from was standing so long under warm lamp. My husband had to go to counter to pay bill as staff stuck in their phones!! Couldn't get their attention. This is an honest review, it was very dissapointing, would not recommend this restaurant, 50e down drain.

03/11/2025: The garavogue has turned into a dump of a pub with some of the most ignorant bouncers I've ever met. Thankfully I don't go out much but will make sure to not go back there.

22/09/2025: We had an excellent experience on Saturday for my sister in law to be’s hen party. We had a cocktail class, led by the very professional bar manager (I’m so sorry I cannot recall his name), expertly led and very accommodating, my sister is a wheelchair user and he brought the cocktail ingredients to her table and completed the demo - afterwards we went into Maeve’s for a drink where they cleared a table to ensure we all got to sit together at a low table to accommodate the wheelchair. We then went to Waxies for our dinner, we had a two course menu - the food was divine and the staff were absolutely lovely there also.. We returned to Garravogue later on for some dancing, a table was reserved for us alongside some complimentary shots!! Special shout out to Robbie, the head doorman - he was brilliant, nothing was ever an issue, he was so accommodating 😁

30/11/2025: Great that they offer some dog-friendly rooms! I really appreciated that we could stay with our dog. However, the pool and spa area felt a bit disappointing. It didn’t feel particularly luxurious. Vegan food options were the biggest issue. The hotel said they could provide vegan meals, but unfortunately the breakfast wasn’t a genuine vegan option. We were charged full price for a breakfast that was essentially: • Plain bread (no vegan butter provided) • Baked beans • Cooked tomatoes It felt more like items removed from the standard cooked breakfast rather than a thoughtfully prepared vegan alternative. Because of that, it didn’t feel fair to be charged the same price as a full breakfast. Overall: Lovely that they welcome dogs, but the spa and vegan food options need improvement. If the hotel says they can cater vegan meals, a proper, considered vegan breakfast would make a big difference.

08/11/2025: It was a very nice and spacious hotel,big lobby and quick bar service. The pool was quite big and warm and the rooms were clean with cosy beds. Cathal,Aged 10

16/11/2025: WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! ordered a spice box and they didnt give it to us. not to mention the last time they took an hour and a half to come and it looked like there was a booger on the food and there was hair in it. terribly rude staff didnt even offer a refund or a new munch box. never order from here ive gotten food poisoning a few times from the chicken being uncooked too

07/07/2025: I enjoy the food but not the beverages. I ordered a cappuccino which was very weak and tasteless. Was advised they use medium roast. Tea also bland. Not to my taste but the cakes and scones are good.
