The best restaurants in Sligo

16/11/2025: WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! ordered a spice box and they didnt give it to us. not to mention the last time they took an hour and a half to come and it looked like there was a booger on the food and there was hair in it. terribly rude staff didnt even offer a refund or a new munch box. never order from here ive gotten food poisoning a few times from the chicken being uncooked too

04/06/2026: Order was wrong, ordered a chicken and bacon sub with red onion and sweet corn, got the sweet corn but not the red onion got red peppers instead, also ordered an extra cookie and never got it, second time this has happened when ordering and extra cookie and its starting to really annoy me was fine the first time but the second time not so much

08/05/2026: Might be the greatest chinese i've ever had, as soon as I entered the Restaurant, the atmosphere from staff and people around was great. The food was amazing and I will definetly be visiting frequently especially for those spice bags.

07/07/2025: I enjoy the food but not the beverages. I ordered a cappuccino which was very weak and tasteless. Was advised they use medium roast. Tea also bland. Not to my taste but the cakes and scones are good.

03/11/2025: The garavogue has turned into a dump of a pub with some of the most ignorant bouncers I've ever met. Thankfully I don't go out much but will make sure to not go back there.

22/09/2025: We had an excellent experience on Saturday for my sister in law to be’s hen party. We had a cocktail class, led by the very professional bar manager (I’m so sorry I cannot recall his name), expertly led and very accommodating, my sister is a wheelchair user and he brought the cocktail ingredients to her table and completed the demo - afterwards we went into Maeve’s for a drink where they cleared a table to ensure we all got to sit together at a low table to accommodate the wheelchair. We then went to Waxies for our dinner, we had a two course menu - the food was divine and the staff were absolutely lovely there also.. We returned to Garravogue later on for some dancing, a table was reserved for us alongside some complimentary shots!! Special shout out to Robbie, the head doorman - he was brilliant, nothing was ever an issue, he was so accommodating 😁

08/06/2026: The hotel is relatively centrally located in Sligo, just a short walk from the town center with its many pubs and restaurants. A large parking lot directly at the hotel offers free parking. The reception area and lobby are reminiscent of a grand hotel. The staff (reception, dining room) were very friendly. The breakfast was excellent in terms of selection, variety, and freshness. Our room was spacious but unfortunately lacked air conditioning, which I expect as standard in a hotel of this category. It was very hot in the room, which was unpleasant and made it difficult to sleep. The fitness center was unfortunately closed on weekends, which I found very disappointing. Other hotels handle this better. I don't need supervision or guidance to exercise.

29/04/2026: AVOID!!! Customer service is appalling I ordered 5 items for collection over the phone When came to pick up 3/5 were wrong even though the ordered was repeated back to me over the phone twice and was perfect. When trying to get it sorted the lady dealing with me was extremely rude, excused me of lying about one of the items ordered saying I ordered something different. One of my dishes had to be completely changed as they didnt inform until after i arrived to pick up my food that they didn’t have it. I then went home and rang them back to ask for a name to include in my review after her awful service and she questioned me rudely, refused to let me speak to a manager and hung up on me. ONLY EAT HERE IF YOU WANT A MISERABLE EXPERIENCE AND TO WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

16/12/2025: Very Very EXPENSIVE 1 pint of Guinness and 1 Southern Comfort and red 14.80! 12.40 in the bar next door... A Ripoff 🤬

12/11/2025: Seriously one of the best pints of Guinness I’ve had in Ireland. Rivals some of the best in Dublin if not better

22/04/2026: Im a regular customer and I usually buy the kebab meal for 10 euro. It WAS huge and it made Sligo Kebabish my favorite grub in town. But now they raised the price and made portions smaller. So disappointed 😞
