The best restaurants in Sligo

01/08/2025: The worst Supermac's I've ever been to. The kiosks didn't work. I tried to make an order at the counter but was met by a staff member who hardly spoke English and got my order completely wrong that I nearly had to spell it out for him. The wait time to get my food was very long despite the promises not being very busy. I ordered a coffee on the go and the machine wasn't working and it took ages for a member of staff to rectify the problem. The food was delicious and the restaurant was clean at least

17/07/2025: Its just another Supermacs.!!! You visit one and the next one you visit is a mirror image of the last one . Staff look as if they are just doing a job and want the shift to end.!!!

18/07/2025: Fresh looking take away, with seating area. Loved the food. Kebabs are very large. Reg will feed a grown man. Taco fries were amazing. Very unique taco sauce guys making in the house. Thanks for feeding our family. Adding this place to my on the road take away speed dial!

29/06/2025: Zam Zam is a popular takeaway spot in Sligo, known for its huge kebabs and tasty pizzas. The portions are big and good for sharing, especially the special kebab which can easily feed 2 people. The food is flavorful, and prices are reasonable. Staff are friendly and the place stays open late, which is great for a night-time meal. Delivery service is also available and usually fast. However, sometimes the quality can be a bit inconsistent—chips may be soggy or sauce too much. The washroom could also be cleaner and better maintained. Overall, it’s a good place if you’re hungry and want something filling and quick.

21/07/2025: An absolute disgrace 😤 there prices and cost of produce are near extortionate, paying 3.25 for a chocolate muffin amd also paying a charge of 75 cent to use there tables and chairs ,plus paying 9.30 cent for two coffees with an added charge to use a chair ,thank god we are only passing through and will never be back FACT

25/06/2025: Tasty food and coffee. They only had granary bread but that was fine.

01/07/2025: We recently held our daughters 18th birthday party here, from the initial booking right up to the night the staff couldn’t do enough for us, our expectations were exceeded and everyone had a fantastic night, food was delicious and overall everything was perfect, fantastic venue to hold a party, special mention of gratitude to Fergal, Cian and Martin who went above and beyond on customer service, we will definitely be back, 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

06/07/2025: We were there on Friday 04.07.2025 for lunch. I ordered Ceasar salat and unfortunatelly had to return it into kitchen. They used roasted chicken breast which was really disgusting. They just kind of pull it on the top of the salad. The server wasnt too happy repeating to me that that is the meat they have until manager came over and she was much more accomodating. She said they have breaded chicken and sent it back to kitchen for me. 20 minutes later I got a new salad with a lump of tasteless tough deep fried chicken breast sitting on top of letucce bathed in mayo and sundried tomatoes oil. I would not recommend the salad to anybody. It actually turned my stomach and the chef should probably watch a few youtube videos or Google what are ingrediences that actually belong into Ceasar salad.

03/07/2025: Food was delicious! Their chicken cheese rolls are so yummy and they have the most delicious shredded chicken I've ever had! Service is quick and the staff are all so lovely :))

03/07/2025: Absolutely delicious, great prices and you can sit in. I went from arriving to having the food on my table in 5 minutes. Very nice staff every single time. 100% recommend

10/07/2025: What a disappointment. We are here with a tour group and the dinner service was just ridiculous. Untrained, unprofessional, inefficient, and unmotivated. The room- small, which is okay as we understand this can be the case in European hotels, but this is next level. Paper bath mats- really? And the straw that broke the camel's back- flood lights come on, directly into our room from the roof! They told us to close the curtains, but it's so hot with no AC, and the little bit of air from the window is now blocked from the drapes. Ugh. Not happy.

09/06/2025: Great staff, good location in Sligo town. Parking was tight sometimes. Food and room were good. Overall a lovely stay.

26/07/2025: Used to love coming here until it was purchased recently. Made it a completely different pub. Ridiculous music ever Friday and Saturday coming out of the bar into the lounge and you can’t even hear the person beside you all the out in the lounge. Prices of drinks rose for no reason. Not what Ashbourne wants or needs - leave it alone :) Should’ve bought another pub in the town

15/07/2025: Under new ownership and it appears that the only thing they did was to put the prices up. We were heading into Dublin and decided to pop in for a pint or two, and then catch a later bus, as I had not had a chance to visit since the new ownership. I did not notice any changes since the new owners took over, bar Lockey is no longer behind the bar. We ordered two pints of Moretti lager and we were charged 15 Euro for them. My cousin nearly fell off his stool when he saw what I was being charged. At least we got the dearest pints out of the way quickly, as the bars on Thomas Street all charged us less. We even ended up paying less clubbing in The George after midnight. They charged us 7.20 a pint of Moretti. It's a bit mad that a pub in Ashbourne, that hasn't been renovated in such a long time, would be dearer than all the bars we visited on Thomas Street, as well as a city center night club.

21/06/2025: Ordered a Chicken Wrap and an Oreo Milkshake. Wrap was a bit too small to my liking, but tasty, chicken was crispy. Overall, pleasant experience. I will deduct points for a broken sink in bathroom area

01/06/2025: Very bad food avoid. Food ... Was Not what was ordered. 2x chicken (fillet) bacon and cheese and toppings 2x curry cheese coleslaw chips! If only I could add a picture.. What I got,was a dryed out 2x chicken burger.."not fillet"cheap chicken ..no bacon no cheese..and something green a slimy maybe lettuce at some time in it life..but not even burger sauce no dressing...only a big lump of coleslaw on both .. Shocking... To see... Both burger's completely uneatable..... Curry chips....no comment! No customer care..out of sight out of mind... Next time il be spending my 30 euro elsewhere... Food will be returned tomorrow when re opened

22/07/2025: I recently visited this restaurant and ordered the dal. Let me tell you — it was spicy. And not just “a bit of a kick” spicy, but the kind of spicy that burns on the way in… and on the way out. I love dal. I know it’s not necessarily meant to be spicy — it can be flavorful, aromatic, comforting. But this one? It came with fire, and no warning. They really should have mentioned it on the menu. A spicy memory, in every sense.

06/07/2025: Food was uncooked got food poisoning the next day and couldnt stop throwing up , the chicken tenders looked raw chicken breast was CREMATED. Would not order here
