The best restaurants in Sligo

16/09/2026: Ideal place for a quick and inexpensive meal, the dishes are very generously served. Excellent value for money.

11/04/2026: The best Apple pie i have had in a long time. Friendly staff, good coffee. Everything was quick and easy.

25/06/2026: Came in for a quick lunch and to get some relief from the heatwave. Sandwich was great, but I brought with me a soda I had just purchased at another shop, and an employee very rudely told me I could not drink it in there. I have never heard of a restaurant with a rule like that. It was odd and the employee’s attitude was very off putting.

21/04/2026: Got a white mocha the other morning. Wasn't too bad, taste was good to me. The atmosphere inside is quite lovely though and I did enjoy it.

30/07/2026: Busy takeaway which seems to be good indication. Chicken chunks are solid and not falling apart like in some other takeaways. My satay meter is unfortunately 0 out of 5. Sauce base is same starch as of most of takeaways would do. No nuts, no lemon grass aroma.

06/08/2026: Lady was awesome and so kind to my daughter. Cant get good chinese food in California and was looking forward to this. Didnt disappoint and was great value. 3 adults and a kid ate for under €45 with a few apps too.

20/06/2026: I rarely take the time to leave reviews, but I wanted to highlight the excellent service we received at lunchtime today. The two young staff members who served us were incredibly friendly, professional, and patient, especially as we don’t speak much English. They took the time to explain everything to us with a smile, which made our experience even more enjoyable. The pizzas were delicious as well. Keep up the great work, and thank you again! 💯

09/08/2026: A1 guys!! 👍👌🫡 After my own mistake they gave me free hot chips! (Didn’t have to) Very kind & polite people, genuinely some of the best kebabs & pizza in Ireland, being going here for years when in Sligo.

08/08/2026: If I could give no stars I would.I called as 5:00 on a Friday ,delighted to have found a subway as I was working in the area.I went to counter and was told they were putting food away as they close at 6:00. Avoid this subway. Rude and Lazy.

04/06/2026: Order was wrong, ordered a chicken and bacon sub with red onion and sweet corn, got the sweet corn but not the red onion got red peppers instead, also ordered an extra cookie and never got it, second time this has happened when ordering and extra cookie and its starting to really annoy me was fine the first time but the second time not so much

29/06/2026: Only an hour in the door and really unimpressed by this hotel. Asked for a mini fridge to put my medication in - they said they’d no fridges. I find that hard to believe for a hotel this size. Asked at the bar for bucket with ice and was told “I can’t give you the bucket but I can give you two pints of ice” - unhelpful. Got to the room and tried calling reception to ask for towels because they only gave us two towels - the phone in the room doesn’t work. Tried calling the hotel on my mobile phone and no answer, it just rang out and went to voicemail. Had to get out of my pjs, get dressed and walk to reception to get what I needed. Also wasn’t given a WiFi password and when I said this to the unhelpful staff member on reception, I was told there’s a piece of paper in the card holder that I got when I checked in. I wasn’t told this when I was given my card so how anyone is supposed to know this unless they’re told?! And not one apology for any of the above. This four star hotel could do a hell of a lot better in these areas.

08/06/2026: The hotel is relatively centrally located in Sligo, just a short walk from the town center with its many pubs and restaurants. A large parking lot directly at the hotel offers free parking. The reception area and lobby are reminiscent of a grand hotel. The staff (reception, dining room) were very friendly. The breakfast was excellent in terms of selection, variety, and freshness. Our room was spacious but unfortunately lacked air conditioning, which I expect as standard in a hotel of this category. It was very hot in the room, which was unpleasant and made it difficult to sleep. The fitness center was unfortunately closed on weekends, which I found very disappointing. Other hotels handle this better. I don't need supervision or guidance to exercise.

25/09/2026: The most fun bar, went during our vacation and had an absolute blast. The service is great and the atmosphere even better!

06/08/2026: Fantastic spot to stop along the river back in Sligo great selection of beers and ales, their house pizza are the best

12/10/2026: Best Indian Restaurant I have been to , food was absolutely amazing cooked to perfection . The chicken Balti is very nice and the perfect amount of spice , very good portion sizes and good atmosphere, Definitely recommend 10/10
