29/06/2025: Cafè Aroma Kilbarry Shopping Centre. Conveniently located at The Kilbarry Centre with all the car parking one will expect in a supermarket / shopping complex. It is worth noting that there are 2 cafes here, one is located inside the supermarket, but Cafe Aroma is an independent one located along the front of the centre. A compact premises, but tastefully decorated in Contemporary vibrant manner ensuring it is both practical and functional. They have maximised their seating capacity very well, with seating inside and outside, and all tables are square (ideal for two) but this allows them to put them together or separate them on demand to create multiple seating options in a compact environment. This is a busy spot at peak times, but it has a good feel to it. Comfortable yet efficient, although at peak times (if you have any decency) you shouldn't really occupy your table for longer than necessary if seating is at capacity. I have seen people sit there reading their phones or taking up a table while sipping on a coffee for an extended period while staff try to cater for incoming customers. This is a pet hate of mine, not just here, but anywhere. Of course the staff will never make you feel that you have outstayed your welcome, but when in a popular spot like this, with limited capacity, and high demand, a little bit of courtesy doesn't go astray. Everything is spotless, absolutely no comments to make here regarding cleanliness. Definitely up to and beyond expected standards. The Service here is incredibly efficient, they have it set up well, and you will be seated, and served in a prompt manner. The staff are very adept at turning tables around quickly and maximising potential. Worth noting that several staff have worked here for quite a while, which would give the impression of a happy workplace, which shines though in the service they deliver. The Full breakfast here is great. The quality of the food is top class, well cooked and plenty of it absolutely no complaints. The toilets are not actually located in the cafe, but you must leave and go in the exit door from the supermarket where the toilets are located. Obviously not feasible to have them within the cafe due to space limitations, but worth noting if you need to pay a visit, try to make one before or after your food. The only observation i would make, and it could be the legs of the chairs, or maybe the floor had been recently cleaned / polished but the chairs had a tendency to slip very easily on the floor, which happened to me when i sat down and the chair slid away from me as I did so, I did make me wonder if an older person of restricted mobility did this there is potential danger of the chair sliding away from them as they take their seat. Maybe this was a one off. I’ll check again in the future.

11/07/2025: Was in Tramore today, first time in a very long time and we had a craving for some nice fish and chips by the sea. Spent €26.30 for fish and chips for 2 and one 500ml bottle of coke, the chips were OK, nothing to write home about, but alright, however the fish was appalling, tasteless mushy grey fish, definitely frozen and not fresh, €26 euro for fish & chips x 2 was expensive in the first place, but had the food been good I would not have minded. Lesson learned and will never return. I highly do not recommend.

11/06/2025: I visited your cafe this morning, I have to say I was very disappointed with the quality of the cappuccino and scone, cappuccino was lukewarm and the *Fruit* scone was heavy and stodgy. The paper cup& Plate surprised me, I would only expect that in a takeaway , the floor was messy also , which, as I was an early visitor surprised me also. I thought I would let you know, rather than send a review publicly. I passed several cafes as I wanted to support local

06/07/2025: Walked in here the other day. Staff flat out ignored me. Incredibly rude. Barely anyone in there. Can see why now. Been here loads of times before. Won't ever darken the door of the place again. Place has gone to the dogs.

20/03/2025: First time visiting this takeaway Food was absolutely disgusting cheese roll where over cooked just soaked in grease satay sauce was the most sweet thing ever meant to be peanut style. The woman on desk was the most rude person I've ever seen customer rang looking for her delivery as she was waiting 2 hours and her reply do I know where driver is. Absolutely shocking customer service avoid at all costs horrible place

02/07/2025: Enjoyed the cod and chips, the pie I believe was Peter's Pies but didn't check, it was tasty and I like this as usually most places serve pukka pies. We did find quite a few bones in the cod and also what seemed like something from a scouring pad in the chips, likely where cleaning had taken place and the pad getting caught. Didn't mention this as by the time we were eating there were more customers. Over good was cooked fresh and kids enjoyed the fish and chips.

25/06/2025: the food was over priced aswell as it was burnt and small portion sizes. The staff didnt inform any customers that the place isn’t halal and now my friend ate a whole meal not knowing a thing.

29/05/2025: Popped in this evening with my partner after a hospital appointment,ordered spice basket, boneless wings and the M50... we were served by the most polite and mannerly server. Food was delicious service was excellent 👌 would highly recommend

26/04/2025: Don't know if they have changed hands but the food has changed for the worse. Chicken breast was larger, curry sauce was dark, a layer of grease on top, hot and very little taste. The Prawn curry was the same hot with not much flavour. The Crispy Chicken satay did not taste like satay. There was a yellow sauce that may have been made of up waving the dish over satay, capturing the steam and then adding some cornstarch to thicken it. It tasted more like a very very very weak veg curry. They used to do very nice food until a few months back

21/07/2025: Decent basic hotel in a good location in Waterford with an added bonus of having its own carpark only a few minutes walk from the hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful and do make an effort to assist you with various requests. The breakfast is Ok but nothing to write home about. There was no issue in requesting gluten free toast but extremely poor choice of breads and sweet cakes. There was a mixed bowl of fruit but no individual pieces of fruit. Again the breakfast staff were very helpful. The rooms are fine with all amenities such as a decent flat screen TV, safe, kettle with tea and coffee, ironing board with iron, and a bathroom with bath/shower. Towels were of good quality with a mat provided for the base of the bath for showering. Excellent locking mechanism of the bedroom door. The bed was comfortable with plenty of switches for the various lights in the room. The room was well maintained by the housekeeping staff. Seats in the lounge area were large but not very comfortable. The bar does have live music which is generally good but the drink prices were expensive for a three star hotel. There is a leisure center with pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and GYM. There was one young male staff member that I unfortunately encountered at the leisure center on the 1st evening of my stay while making enquiries about same. He was one of the RUDEST, IGNORANT staff member that I have ever encountered in any hotel I have ever stayed in. He was an absolute disgrace. I again went down the following morning to the Leisure Centre to enquire about the facilities available. This time I met with a lovely friendly lady who gave me all the information I required unlike the young male staff member that I encountered on the previous evening. She was an absolute credit to the hotel. Overall while not being a fancy hotel it does the job without any airs and graces.

02/07/2025: Went here with 5 grandkids, never again. A chicken sandwich meal and a spit of mayonnaise on it and shredded lettuce. Terrible. Take your kids/ grandkids to a proper hotel or feed them at home. Never again
