26/03/2026: I'll start off with the owner has the right to refuse I currently drive from Kildare one day a week to see my old man in hospital so juggling with a remote work day and pop on or out a few times. Not the story just context. I'm doing a few hours in coffee shops and have used blackfriars as coffees decent and bright space. The female barista has been so nice. I stay about 3 hours or so, emails and calls you know what most remote humans do Spend normally about 20+ quid each time for the past 4 or 5 weeks, today maybe 14-15 quid. I normally get a bap too. Arrived at 10:15 ish left 1:45 ish. I was leaving today and what looks like the owner told me "you're not welcome to use the shop as an office" I may have been loud while on a call which ok I get, but could have ask me to stop or be quieter, but he went straight to "you're not welcome" I find it mad as the shop is not that busy and light on customers sitting in most days. He didn't ask the screaming 3 year old they are running riot, they are not welcome, or the couple screaming with laugher... I probably spent the same if not more than them. OTT move tbh. Pity your staff are sound, coffee decent and was helpful as I juggle work and seeing my dad. Quiet a sad little man. I'm better off.

02/07/2026: We had lunch here and, to be honest, there are better places around. For starters, we had the mussels and the king prawns, and for the main we ordered the Florentina pizza. The location is quite nice, right by the beach with lovely sea views, but the food was fairly average. The pizza sauce lacked flavour, and there was so much cheese that it completely overpowered the rest of the pizza. The mussels were actually quite good. The biggest disappointment was the garlic bread. Honestly, even the garlic bread from Aldi would probably have tasted better. The service, however, was very good.

02/07/2026: Beautiful view of the beach, friendly service, and the food was fantastic. We had king prawns and mussels in a white wine cream sauce as a starter, and fish and chips as a main course. It tasted absolutely delicious, so we highly recommend it.

15/05/2026: got chips they tasted like the oil hadn’t been changed and tasted like eggs so went down to replace them and was told they wouldn’t remake a new batch and i’d have to have them from the same batch i agreed to be easy and on the second bag we got halfway through then they started tasting oily and eggy again very disappointed.

12/05/2026: food was decent, left me a chicken tender short, my friend was waiting 25 mins for food and my other friends waited longer for a milkshake. this is a joke and a piss take and i think they need to step up their game. nothing fast about this fast food, i tell you that for free.

14/03/2026: My brother has additional needs due to Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. While he was simply enjoying himself, dancing, and having a good time like anyone else, we were asked to leave. There was no disruption — just someone expressing happiness. Not all disabilities are visible, and situations like this highlight how important awareness and understanding are in public spaces. People with additional needs have the same right to enjoy a night out, listen to music, dance, and socialise without feeling judged or excluded. I would encourage staff and management to keep this in mind in the future and to consider disability awareness training. A little understanding can make a huge difference. I hope this feedback is taken constructively so that others with hidden disabilities are treated with the respect, dignity, and inclusion they deserve. being dragged clean out with additional needs is absolutely unacceptable and do not go if u want a good night and have a disability and you will be taken out if enjoying themselves not even one star absolute dogs in there

21/06/2026: We ordered biryani and tandoori, and the experience was disappointing from start to finish. We waited over 40 minutes with no update or response from the staff. When the food finally arrived, the biryani lacked any authentic Indian flavour and tasted nothing like a proper biryani. The tandoori was extremely hard and seemed far from fresh. I've eaten at many Indian restaurants, but this was by far one of the least authentic experiences. Neither dish tasted remotely Indian, which makes me question why this place is even marketed as an Indian restaurant. Poor service, poor food quality, and definitely not worth the wait.

27/05/2026: Food was rather nice but decided to get a Mozie ice cream and the manager made it and filled half way and barley added topping not up to expectations and was disappointed considering the price

25/06/2026: Only for the kebab was actually delicious it was almost not worth trekking up that hill in the heat because the kebab was absolutely tiny. I wasn't expecting it to be that small for the price as usually a kebab is for sharing. For me anyway. I definitely wasnt sharing this tiny thing. I will say, it was delicious though. Chicken nugget meal was abit overpriced too in fairness

30/05/2026: Got catering from Tony’s and was thrilled. Hot food and sandwiches were divine and so fresh. Delivered straight to my door and was so helpful. Highly recommend them.

03/02/2026: Very hit and miss. Rice, noodles, veg ok but meat whether beef or chicken is inedible. It's like jelly, just weird. I'm going to try to attach a pic of the beef. I ate the veg but just could not eat this.

24/05/2026: Banging fish and chips recommend to everyone first time trying it and curry sauce is lovely too

22/05/2026: Popped in on a whim as i found myself in Barry for a night. Friendly service, good prices, fish cooked fresh to order which i always love (nothing worse than it having sat in the hot cupboard all day). Portion size was fantastic, fish was fresh and flaky, batter was perfect, and chips golden. A super evening spent on the beach, would thoroughly reccomend.

05/04/2026: Had a great experience at this restaurant! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The menu had a good variety, so there’s something for everyone. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcome from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable, perfect for both a casual meal and a special occasion. Service was quick without feeling rushed, which I really appreciated. Overall, a lovely dining experience — I’d definitely come back and recommend it to others!

30/10/2025: I got a pepperoni pizza and a battered sausage out of Maza Takeaway in Waterford. I have to say, this food was shockingly good. The pepperoni pizza was fresh to death, with Maza using high quality ingredients, as you get what you pay for, but the quality is unbelievable, with the toppings being so high quality, it makes you question yourself, Where can I get these ingredients so I can make my own version of this pizza so it tastes the same as Maza's? The battered sausage was on point, with the meat tasting juicy and the batter staying on, with it actually tasting better than a battered sausage out a traditional chipper. The service was also excellent, as I got my food delivered and the food was 30 minutes early, but it was still piping hot, which is a sign that this restaurant is managing their business extremely well. The delivery driver was nice as well, as he offered me a voucher for the restaurant as it was my first time ordering from the restaurant. Seriously, I do not get what all the 1 star reviews of this place are for and I hope you keep this quality of food going. Lads, thank you for actually making good food and managing this restaurant perfectly at the same time. Not many restaurants do this. Maza, I hope you continue to open for as long as possible. Also, I did not give the atmosphere any stars as I haven't been in the restaurant before. I will be back next summer for sure 💯💯💯

14/10/2025: Absolutely love MAZA! The food is always fresh and full of flavour. Their pizzas and tandoori chicken are amazing, and the munchy boxes are perfect for sharing. Friendly service, great prices, and fast delivery — definitely my go-to takeaway in town!
