01/09/2026: Disappointed with our fish and chips here as the ones we got at Doolys on the pier were gorgeous. The fish was dry as if it had been reheated and the chips were soggy.

06/08/2026: I got fish, chips and sausages. The batter on both the fish and sausages was thick and soggy. The chips were limp and greasy. This place has gone seriously downhill. I won't be going there again. Skip it if you can.

15/08/2026: Great experience here today. We were made feel very welcome by the staff . We had our dog with us & we were offered a bowl of water for him & a pup cup 😍 The Churros were so good we had to get a second helping. Fantastic pet friendly Cafe & we will definitely be returning.

18/07/2026: Had churros at Galway festival and it was unfortunately disappointed. Tasteless and not much sauce. Do not recommended.

12/09/2026: My partner and I were part of a party of 6 for dinner. When the waitress came over I asked for a beer while we were waiting for the rest of the group to arrive. I was informed that they don't sell any alcohol in the restaurant. The waitress said I was welcome to go to the nearby Centra off license and bring beer back. I threaded my way through the winos and junkies along the quay and successfully returned with 6 bottles of Heineken. The staff were good enough to provide a bottle opener which saved me biting the top of the bottle with my teeth, phew! The food wasn't bad however one member of our group ordered chicken and got pork instead. I went to the loo only to find that after locking the bathroom door it would not unlock. I was trapped. I sent a text to my wife who came to the rescue. After sliding the key under the door she was able to unlock the door from her side. Free at last! As I returned to my table, I reported the issue to the first member of staff that I met. He heard what I said but ignored me and walked by me without responding. At no point did any member of staff ask us how was the food or did we need anything. Be warned also, the restaurant is cash only and does not accept electronic payment. I would definitely not return or recommend to anyone else.

05/09/2026: Have eaten here a few times; the food is normally okay, although I would not call it authentic Indian. The manager (male) is very rude and has a really gruff manner. I thought it was just with me, but my wife had a similar experience. And we won't be going back.

31/08/2026: Lovely, friendly, polite staff, excellent pints. Crowd can skew young on a Saturday (like everywhere else in town), but it's a solid pub and the staff are extremely diligent in their ID checking requirements. Great pint to be had as well at €6 and no food eaters taking up room if you're only for pints.

01/06/2026: Very strong smell from rotting lemons on entrance to bar. Very offputting 🙏 Had to go outside thankfully 😎 out

04/10/2026: As soon as we entered the cinema room we were hit in the face by a strong smell of urine! Half the seats were covered as falling apart.. The seats we were seating on were so dirty I was so scared to put my head back that I put my hood on so my head wouldn't touch the headrest. It was atrocious 😫. Never again.

27/09/2026: Friendly cinema, plenty of screens. Good fresh popcorn and coffee. If early, have a browse in TK Maxx next door, or Tesco across the road, or indeed a pint in Phil Grimes.

07/09/2026: Went here today , usually wouldn't write a review but I was shocked at the aggressiveness of the staff. Blonde woman , sounded English, served me . She was annoyed that I had "not ordered the same time" as my friend , even though she had told us to both sit down after my friend ordered and walked off , speaking to other people. Felt very unwelcoming there. Food was alright, bit overpriced. Reading the other reviews, seems like the staff just hate their job .

20/09/2026: The fish was rubbery, and very chewy. Either reheated, or was kept warm on the counter. Excessive batter, making the fish appear to be large. The wooden forks they supplied couldn't penetrate it! The tables were sticky, with a thick layer of grime on them. Didn't finish our food, and left. For a £50 family dinner, the standard was far below what it should have been.

15/09/2026: I’ve been here many times for days in Barry and it’s a 50/50 mix if you get bones or not apart from that really good fish and chips shops

23/06/2026: The food doesn't really taste like Asian. It arrived hot and super fast though, so I added an extra star.
