18/09/2025: This is one of the best chippers in Kilkenny / Waterford. Good quality food and not dripping in grease. The prices have risen but where hasn't. Only down side is that it can be very difficult to get parking.

16/10/2025: I'd been passing by for a couple of years, wondering, as always, what else could surprise me... We had a kebab meal. It was delicious, the portion was large, the spices were just right, and there was plenty of meat. We finished the whole thing on our second try.

19/12/2025: The food choices were very limited even though we had a booking at the Waterford branch . The portion sizes were not matching with the price. There was a strong foul smell all through the dining area, probably coming out from the carpet. Also they had only two payment option offered, either cash or Revolut. Altogether didn't meet the expectation 😔

16/12/2025: The food was decent, and the unlimited buffet is priced at €18. However, compared to the Dublin branch, this place offers far fewer options, especially when it comes to starters and seafood. When I visited on a Sunday, the buffet included chicken biryani, chicken 65, and two types of vegetarian curries (dal and aloo). There were no fish or duck options—only chicken—so the variety felt quite limited. For €18, it’s acceptable, but when compared to the Dublin one, it does feel slightly overpriced. That said, the taste was excellent, and compliments to the chef for that. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. One downside is the lack of parking. You’ll need to park elsewhere (paid parking) and walk to the restaurant. Overall, a decent experience mainly for the taste, but limited variety and parking are things to keep in mind.

13/12/2025: A few of us went here for the early bird deal. All our meals and starters were delicious and the poppodoms with dips were unreal. Also, the naan was the best naan I’ve ever had! I had the Saag, highly recommend! We will be back.

02/11/2025: I had such a wonderful experience here with my wife. The food was incredibly delicious and truly authentic — every dish was full of rich flavors and perfectly spiced. The staff were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, making us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was cozy and peaceful, with soft music and the gentle scent of incense creating a warm, authentic Indian vibe. You can really tell that a lot of love and care goes into everything here. I’ll definitely be coming back and can highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys genuine Indian cuisine.

20/12/2025: This place used to be bang on but now don't bother every time you order there always something wrong with meal and there pizza am really poorly made no filling and sloppy doe, so no more from this place anymore I've given them couple chances but still don't care what they send.

12/08/2025: Shit food didn’t bring the pizza I wanted would not give us back the the money but we spent 160€ on food and forgot a pizza and would not deliver it back out would not recommend this take away

29/12/2025: What a great chipper. The chips were fresh, dry and crispy. The sausages were the tastiest I've had, cooked in a delicious batter. I was served by Surosh who was rightly proud of hos food and quality control. Well done!!!

01/11/2025: Worst experience i have ever had they completely forgot my order. When I did get it i only realised when I got home they had totally messed it up. We got a taco chip and there was barely anything in the box . We ordered a cheese burger had no cheese and a regular the small bag it came in was 1/3 of a bag that is completely disrespectful and needs to be fixed .

Man who i think is owner very rude staring waiting on your to finish your dinner very off putting lifting plates when others at the table are still eating Meals were all over the place rice was out 15 mins before the mains were ready 2 people's starters were out 10 mins after others had finished not a single person in the place seemed or acted like they had a clue what was going on i will not be back and I advise others to stay away

27/12/2025: Great atmosphere.. that’s about it. an absolute masterclass in how not to treat customers. We were served one drink and then, for reasons known only to the staff, suddenly became objects of fascination. Pointing, throwing looks across the bar. No trouble caused, no explanation given, just told we were not welcome. It’s reassuring to know your money isn’t good enough for certain establishments What makes it even more ironic is that a family member of our group owns multiple pubs and restaurants across Waterford city, places that actually understand hospitality. Respect works both ways. Staff here might want to be careful where they go for breakfast or next time they book that lovely meal, they could find themselves shown the door before the menu 😉 Plenty of bars in Waterford manage good atmosphere and basic decency. This isn’t one of them for sure.

26/07/2025: If this Chinese takeaway was any better, I’d propose to it. Every single dish is very good, crispy, flavorful, and made with so much care. Myself and my wife were here for holiday staying in the Fitz caravan park. I have to say, the bad reviews of this place here on google is so fake. Otherwise there has been huge improvement because i couldnt recommend this place enough. The crispy chilli beef absolutely beautiful with a perfect balanced between sweet, spicy, and crunchy. The salt and chilli chips are so addictive. Portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the owner and counter girls are such genuine beautiful people always chatty and friendly and carry a smile that could cure depression. The food arrives piping hot, even when delivered, and every bite tastes like it was made fresh because it was. If you haven’t tried this place yet, you’re doing yourself a disservice. It’s not just the best Chinese takeaway in town it’s the kind of place that ruins all other takeaways for you. 10/10, no notes, just pure deliciousness. 🥢🔥

30/10/2025: I got a pepperoni pizza with chicken curry chips out of Hot Corner Pizza and Kebabs in Waterford City for delivery. The pizza was not up to standard, as there was a lack of cheese on the pizza and the toppings were only something from the supermarket, as they should use better quality ingredients for their pizza, because you are paying the price for good food. Also the chips weren't nice either, as they were cold on the outside and extremely hot on the inside. The chicken tastes rubbery also and the curry was mediocre, tasting like Chef or McDonnell's Curry, as you would expect better tasting curry for the price you were paying for the food. Overall, the food was not great out of Hot Corner. The service was a lot worse, because I got it delivered. First off, the delivery was late, which is not on. This shows that this restaurant is not punctual. Also I did not get an apology for the late delivery, as it is common courtesy to do so. When I collected my food from the delivery driver, he seemed a bit rude, as he did not look like he wanted to be delivering food, but still. It costs nothing to be nice. As I have not been to the restaurant itself, I am giving the atmosphere 0 starts. Hot Corner, cop yourselves on and manage your restaurant better or else you will just lose customers. Thanks.

14/10/2025: "WOW"...finally, I found a fast food place that reminds me of home, Liverpool City. I ordered the large pizza (Margherita) large donner kebab (fresh salad, tender tasty lamb meat) and chips (proper fat, chunky real potato chips), DEELISH food., and delivered for 3euro.. "The Hot Corner" Barrack St, I will not go nowhere else now... Nice one lads ... 5 Star fast food and very reasonable priced,.....15euro pizza, large donner n chips...STILL in 2025 the best

08/12/2025: Ordered via the app and accidentally asked for it to be delivered. Turned up in plenty of time time to sort it out, delivery driver wasn't tasked and that was all good. Came to paying and the five euro for delivery was still added. I said I wasn't paying it, but the guy wasn't having it at all. Only backed down when I said I wasn't taking the food. He wasn't happy. I was only getting food worth €12.50 €5.00 on top of that is a 40% mark up. Won't be back. Food wasn't even that good.

06/11/2025: Nice cafe with pleasant atmosphere, good coffee and scones. Slightly irritated by the flickering exit sign and the slamming door but maybe I’m a bit too OCD.

13/12/2025: Rude customer service. Food was not fresh and had a strange taste and smell. Clearly frozen chips. Weird looking satay sauce that masked the taste of the awful food. Fiery red sweet and sour sauce in a contaminated container. Will not come here again. Would not recommend!

13/12/2025: The worst food I have bought in Waterford, I thought i would try at the least the vegetable spring roll as I have never had “bad” one, the most disgusting spring roll as you’ll see in the photo… stay away
