20/05/2025: Bad establishment. A big clique full of anti-Irish bullies who don't like real Irish people.
They do love fake Irish people though who talk nonsense. Says it all when there own bouncer who back completely for bullying Irish people.
Stay clear if you want a real Irish experience go down to the Mansion House or over to the hub much better. Better pints of Guinness and all drinks in general. Overall better service, food, drink and treatment elsewhere.

21/06/2025: Food came within 15 mins of ordering which wasn’t a good thing since was clearly taken out of the freezer and microwaved. €35 for 2 4 in 1s and ribs and they weren’t even cooked fresh. Food tastes like the freezer it’s blatantly obvious the freezer burn on the chicken. Super disappointing waste of money

10/07/2025: Saw good reviews elsewhere so gave it a try. Chips were average at best. Battered sausages were the worst ive ever had. Whoever made the batter doesn't know how to make batter let alone they were drenched in dirty oil. Burger was cheap quality garbage in a stale bun. Wouldn't order again
I understand the damage bad reviews can do but if you don't want them then don't serve DIRT to paying customers. Food was barely fit for human consumption

21/08/2025: I didn't even have time to take a picture of the food, but I can confirm that the food here is of good quality. The potatoes are crispy and the kebabs are wonderful. The staff are very polite, even though it's open very late, it's a wonderful option among the others. The food is very cheap, and I'll always come back. Xx Everything is clean too.

11/12/2025: An absolute rob!!! Had what was supposed to be a medium pizza delivered. It was the smallest pizza I've ever seen in my entire life! Shrinkflation is being kind!!! I'd say less than a 10" for €17.50!!! It was my first and last time ever ordering from Apache! Never again!!!

10/08/2025: Had a pint and a generous glass of wine on heated area in front of the bar. Lovely location lovely view of the harbor and a lovely price.
09/07/2025: We a family of 4 walked upon The Anchor while visiting Dungarvan. As it looked busy we decided to have lunch. Glad we did. We had two fresh cod and chips and two burgers and chips. The fish was fresh and tasty. The burgers were Devine and portions large. Highly recommend The Anchor for food if you in Dungarvan. Lovely clean pub in a beautiful setting overlooking the harbour.

18/09/2023: Dog friendly. Good food. Little expensive i thought but it was really nice flavour. Chicken gougons had a harf cripsy coating and the smash burger was really good. Order took a bit long but we'll worth the wait.
02/09/2023: Good food, friendly staff.
I had "Squash bhaji" which was really good. Chips could have less or non salt, especially for kids meals.
