05/07/2025: The impressions from visiting this place are not the most pleasant. There are no prices on the menu, which is strange. Not all drinks are translated into English. The table with napkins is dirty. It is obvious that the staff has difficulty serving a large flow of customers. Judging by the taste, appearance and execution of bubble tea, its price is too high.

30/10/2025: I got a pepperoni pizza and a battered sausage out of Maza Takeaway in Waterford. I have to say, this food was shockingly good. The pepperoni pizza was fresh to death, with Maza using high quality ingredients, as you get what you pay for, but the quality is unbelievable, with the toppings being so high quality, it makes you question yourself, Where can I get these ingredients so I can make my own version of this pizza so it tastes the same as Maza's? The battered sausage was on point, with the meat tasting juicy and the batter staying on, with it actually tasting better than a battered sausage out a traditional chipper. The service was also excellent, as I got my food delivered and the food was 30 minutes early, but it was still piping hot, which is a sign that this restaurant is managing their business extremely well. The delivery driver was nice as well, as he offered me a voucher for the restaurant as it was my first time ordering from the restaurant. Seriously, I do not get what all the 1 star reviews of this place are for and I hope you keep this quality of food going. Lads, thank you for actually making good food and managing this restaurant perfectly at the same time. Not many restaurants do this. Maza, I hope you continue to open for as long as possible. Also, I did not give the atmosphere any stars as I haven't been in the restaurant before. I will be back next summer for sure 💯💯💯

14/10/2025: Absolutely love MAZA! The food is always fresh and full of flavour. Their pizzas and tandoori chicken are amazing, and the munchy boxes are perfect for sharing. Friendly service, great prices, and fast delivery — definitely my go-to takeaway in town!

07/03/2026: Ordered a Large Family Box for collection, supposed to be 10 pieces of chicken in it, i only got 8 ( 2 dinner boxes ) we couldn't be bothered to go back as we were so hungry at that stage. Nice food but check your order, and if you are working there check your own menu, a large family box is not 2 dinner boxes!

19/12/2025: The food choices were very limited even though we had a booking at the Waterford branch . The portion sizes were not matching with the price. There was a strong foul smell all through the dining area, probably coming out from the carpet. Also they had only two payment option offered, either cash or Revolut. Altogether didn't meet the expectation 😔

16/12/2025: The food was decent, and the unlimited buffet is priced at €18. However, compared to the Dublin branch, this place offers far fewer options, especially when it comes to starters and seafood. When I visited on a Sunday, the buffet included chicken biryani, chicken 65, and two types of vegetarian curries (dal and aloo). There were no fish or duck options—only chicken—so the variety felt quite limited. For €18, it’s acceptable, but when compared to the Dublin one, it does feel slightly overpriced. That said, the taste was excellent, and compliments to the chef for that. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. One downside is the lack of parking. You’ll need to park elsewhere (paid parking) and walk to the restaurant. Overall, a decent experience mainly for the taste, but limited variety and parking are things to keep in mind.

08/04/2026: I had a lovely experience in this shop! I went in on a Saturday, on the 28th of March. The barista looking after me, Liam, was so polite and kind and helped my sister choose her drink as she is quite indecisive! It really made me happy because sometimes people get impatient with her. I would absolutely come back to this Costa based on this experience alone, but the drink was also really tasty :-)

07/04/2026: Went in here at 8:30 to order a latte server did not care barely spoke and attitude was less than friendly coffee wasn’t great. We’ll be going to the kiosk café in future.

20/12/2025: This place used to be bang on but now don't bother every time you order there always something wrong with meal and there pizza am really poorly made no filling and sloppy doe, so no more from this place anymore I've given them couple chances but still don't care what they send.

12/08/2025: Shit food didn’t bring the pizza I wanted would not give us back the the money but we spent 160€ on food and forgot a pizza and would not deliver it back out would not recommend this take away

08/01/2026: The food is a typical cheap chinese that isn't so cheap. Some of the dishes are ok like the curry, others use a bland basic fish sauce. The owners are very nice people but the woman on the till is very rude and always smoking outside and smells of booze. No gluten free options really as its all fried together.

21/03/2026: Miserable value food. Take away only, no seats or toilets. Paid €12 each for "Fish & Chips" but l the portions we got were more like "Chips & a fish goujon", compared to most places would be a half portion of fish, and it didn't taste good either! Asked for salt and vinegar on the chips; although the chips were ok quality, there was only a trace of vinegar on them, one portion had hardly any salt while the other chips had sooo much salt, I had to brush salt off of each chip before eating, they were sparkling with salt, I like salty but that was too much! It was just thown out at us, even though they weren't even busy. The place is obviously catering to the after pub market and don't care much about their customers.

30/10/2025: I got a pepperoni pizza with chicken curry chips out of Hot Corner Pizza and Kebabs in Waterford City for delivery. The pizza was not up to standard, as there was a lack of cheese on the pizza and the toppings were only something from the supermarket, as they should use better quality ingredients for their pizza, because you are paying the price for good food. Also the chips weren't nice either, as they were cold on the outside and extremely hot on the inside. The chicken tastes rubbery also and the curry was mediocre, tasting like Chef or McDonnell's Curry, as you would expect better tasting curry for the price you were paying for the food. Overall, the food was not great out of Hot Corner. The service was a lot worse, because I got it delivered. First off, the delivery was late, which is not on. This shows that this restaurant is not punctual. Also I did not get an apology for the late delivery, as it is common courtesy to do so. When I collected my food from the delivery driver, he seemed a bit rude, as he did not look like he wanted to be delivering food, but still. It costs nothing to be nice. As I have not been to the restaurant itself, I am giving the atmosphere 0 starts. Hot Corner, cop yourselves on and manage your restaurant better or else you will just lose customers. Thanks.

14/10/2025: "WOW"...finally, I found a fast food place that reminds me of home, Liverpool City. I ordered the large pizza (Margherita) large donner kebab (fresh salad, tender tasty lamb meat) and chips (proper fat, chunky real potato chips), DEELISH food., and delivered for 3euro.. "The Hot Corner" Barrack St, I will not go nowhere else now... Nice one lads ... 5 Star fast food and very reasonable priced,.....15euro pizza, large donner n chips...STILL in 2025 the best

06/04/2026: Used to come here years ago and gave it another shot. Ordered the black bean tofu- But tasted more like onion and gravy. Fried rice was bland & ended up throwing whole £20 order in the bin
