The best restaurants in Waterford

28/08/2026: He was very kind and made the food very good one of the workers there Noah Adam

26/08/2026: noah ali gave great service, i was very impressed with the customer service from the order up to my order being served. definitely will come back again, hoping other employees are just as polite and customer friendly as he is.

14/09/2026: Server was super friendly, proud of his produce which lived up to his claims! Can’t fault this great chippy.

12/09/2026: This is THE best Donner I have ever had. The sauce is amazing. My friend had the chicken kebob and she cannot decide if this is her #1 or #2 of all time. The chips were also great and plentiful. You will not go hungry with food from here! This is a takeout place, so the atmosphere is as should be expected: takeaway or quick standing counter.

09/09/2026: Disgraceful staff owners are amazing and manager is just full of himself he argued with everyone. His attitude will cost the owners a lot he thinks he’s a hard man with a scar on his face and just likes to rise lads. Never in my life have a seen a lad with such a chip on his shoulder Edit 2026 September he’s back still holding a grudge staring lads out it. I genuinely don’t understand how anyone hires to lad every single other pub

11/08/2026: Great music and drink. Had a great time in this establishment

29/06/2026: Loved it. Proper Irish club bar. Cheap prices friendly people. Lots of sport on TV

06/05/2026: Good pub especially if u like racing plenty of telly's Bookies next door staff friendly

14/07/2026: The first time a few weeks back I ordered a philly steak sandwich n chips the steak was tougher than old.boots and I mean that every piece was inedible..the chips was well worn out looking and they too was 3 chips and the rest in the bin.. Absolutely not a place I would recommend..in fairness how can you pass out that kinda food at a prime time like 6pm in the evening

22/06/2026: Unfortunately, our experience didn't match the many positive reviews. We ordered two burger meals, a 9" pepperoni pizza, chips and drink for €43.50, but it was poor value for money. The pizza box was dripping with grease, the burger and bacon meat quality was very poor, and the chips were, overcooked, hard, tasteless. The toilet facility also needed attention, no soap available and the toilet seat cover completely missing. On a positive note, the staff were polite. We won't return.

16/09/2025: Closed down no notice of the door

09/09/2025: Absolutely delicious food and brilliant service. Very well priced

21/04/2026: Food and service were nice. Ambience was not that great. Doesn’t feel present. But the staff were very friendly.

06/02/2026: Looking at the menu on the Sheela Palace website it indicated dosas. This is an error, they do not serve dosas. Apparently that's done at their Dublin takeaway branch. They should fix their site. Selecting the Waterford restaurant on the website and then clicking on the online ordering option, Dosas are clearly listed at the bottom. First impressions on entering were not great. The interior is drab, confused and dated. A mix of colours and decorative elements that just don't make sense. The exception is the 2 large posters on one side of the reestaurant, which are lovely. I thought, given the greatly positive reviews the food must be amazing. Unfortunately, that wasn't our experience, at least with the mains. The Paneer tikka we had as a starter was ok. Can't say the same for the rest. We ordered the Vegetarian Biryani and Shahi paneer. Had a taste of the latter and it wasn't great at all. Practically inedible tbh. The Biryani looked good though and you can see effort had been made in its preparation with lots of vegetables and nuts and other things. The taste though was again strange. I've never had a sweet Biryani. They had generously added raisins to the rice. Also, the rice was clumpy which is just a very basic thing to get wrong. On crushing the clumps, white rice was exposed. This was not a Biryani dish at all but rather a vegetarian pulau dish with raisins. Kinda like a Kashmiri pulao, but not quite. It seemed like biryani spices had been lightly mixed into the preparation to give it that distinct aroma. The flavour was lacking however. The front-of-house staff were nice. Though one lady asked every customer what specific cutlery they wanted before setting the table. Nothing wrong with that mind you, but just added to the strangeness of the experience. I suspect the non-vegetarian fare is better given the previous positive reviews from other diners but if you're a Vegetarian I would not recommend this place.

06/06/2026: Order was wrong when it came. Food was bang average!

24/05/2026: Lovely little take away. Stopped on our walk round Lismore. Lovely lady on counter gave dog a drink and a biscuit. Food was nice and loads of it. Would use again if we're in the area

19/08/2026: The best establishment within a radius of 100 km.

16/08/2026: I agree with the comments, this is the worst place in Waterford.

10/05/2026: Hands down lads best taco chip in town. Best in business.

29/03/2026: Food is always gorgeous from Walsh'. Got a gorgeous fish and chips tonight. Well done guys.

21/10/2026: There’s this one staff member that genuinely acts like she hates me when I pull up in the morning. She asked me my order today and I caught her genuinely roll her eyes at me when I asked for a sausage roll. Like damn I’m sorry that it’s breakfast time and I’m hungry?? Why are we mad that I’m at a drive thru with an order YOU WORK HERE ???? Miserable experience. Food was yummy though I just dunno what her actual problem is all the other staff are sound

13/10/2026: If you want something freshly cooked with a homely feel, this is the place. Excellent.

16/10/2026: The coffees and matchas are always delicious in this costa, especially coming up to September when they come out with their autumn menu 😍 The staff are amazing, Liam and Alanna in particular x

15/10/2026: I use this Costa Coffee cafe on a daily bases and the coffee and nibbles are always great, looking forward to the Christmas menu 2026. The service from the friendly service is one of the reasons for my daily visits, I would like to particularly point out Liam and Alanna,

03/08/2026: Spotless clean restaurant. We were impressed as its not always the case with others Eddie Rockets. Food was also delicious.

30/06/2026: Found a bird's beak in the chicken wings. Went in for a nice meal with my partner. When he bit into one of the chicken wings, he got a mouthful of half a birds beak. We brought it to the managers attention and was very disappointed with the response. He was quite condescending, told us we were wrong and made out like it wasn't his problem. We have picture evidence of this beak. He took away the dish and charged us full price. It was disgusting and disturbing. Will stay clear of here in future.

31/07/2026: Regular customer and spend, refused to buy a curry portion because it's under 10 euro for a card. Be the last time I buy from here. Now you have lost more money

12/06/2026: Mixed kebab was superb. love it.

20/05/2026: Very nice food such as the pizzas never disappoint staff are always welcoming whenever I go definitely one of the nicest pizza places in waterford if not the nicest price wise reasonable cheaper than likes of dominos and 4star definitely recommend 10/10 👍
