10/02/2026: What a neat little spot! A nice simple menu, nothing too fancy, but done really well! Brussel sprout soup and vege toasted sandwich was delicious. Had a bite of the blaa as well which resulted in massive food envy! The curry was also delicious but beans were a bit undercooked for my liking.

31/12/2025: The food isn’t as nourishing and healthy as they claim. Most of the stuff from the menu is deep fried and the sourdough toast was rock hard. The coffee wasn’t tasty either. Kids menu is not healthy at all. Overrated and overpriced for what they provide.

08/08/2025: Google thinks this a food restaurant type place, it's for takeaway bubble tea, which they are great at.

05/07/2025: The impressions from visiting this place are not the most pleasant. There are no prices on the menu, which is strange. Not all drinks are translated into English. The table with napkins is dirty. It is obvious that the staff has difficulty serving a large flow of customers. Judging by the taste, appearance and execution of bubble tea, its price is too high.

03/02/2026: Very hit and miss. Rice, noodles, veg ok but meat whether beef or chicken is inedible. It's like jelly, just weird. I'm going to try to attach a pic of the beef. I ate the veg but just could not eat this.

07/03/2026: Put through an order online at 11:15 paid over 30e and then about 5 minutes later they cancelled the order. Had to wait until the following day to ring them and was told it would be between 3 to 5 days to get them money back. Whoever answered the phone was in no way apologetic made it seem like it was my fault. Won't be ordering again

25/02/2026: The portions are very small and extremely poorly cooked. I have ordered the mushroom and chicken breast soup several times. It was basically just water, with a few mushrooms floating on top and some long strips of chicken breast. No greens, no seasoning, no flavor – absolutely nothing that would make it a proper soup. I also ordered two portions of chicken noodles. Again, just some tasteless noodles – honestly terrible – and poorly prepared chicken. The food is definitely not worth the money. Even though the restaurant is only 2 km away, I waited almost two hours for the delivery. The packages arrived wet. The whole experience was very disappointing. I absolutely do not recommend it.

19/12/2025: The food choices were very limited even though we had a booking at the Waterford branch . The portion sizes were not matching with the price. There was a strong foul smell all through the dining area, probably coming out from the carpet. Also they had only two payment option offered, either cash or Revolut. Altogether didn't meet the expectation 😔

16/12/2025: The food was decent, and the unlimited buffet is priced at €18. However, compared to the Dublin branch, this place offers far fewer options, especially when it comes to starters and seafood. When I visited on a Sunday, the buffet included chicken biryani, chicken 65, and two types of vegetarian curries (dal and aloo). There were no fish or duck options—only chicken—so the variety felt quite limited. For €18, it’s acceptable, but when compared to the Dublin one, it does feel slightly overpriced. That said, the taste was excellent, and compliments to the chef for that. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. One downside is the lack of parking. You’ll need to park elsewhere (paid parking) and walk to the restaurant. Overall, a decent experience mainly for the taste, but limited variety and parking are things to keep in mind.

30/10/2025: I got a pepperoni pizza and a battered sausage out of Maza Takeaway in Waterford. I have to say, this food was shockingly good. The pepperoni pizza was fresh to death, with Maza using high quality ingredients, as you get what you pay for, but the quality is unbelievable, with the toppings being so high quality, it makes you question yourself, Where can I get these ingredients so I can make my own version of this pizza so it tastes the same as Maza's? The battered sausage was on point, with the meat tasting juicy and the batter staying on, with it actually tasting better than a battered sausage out a traditional chipper. The service was also excellent, as I got my food delivered and the food was 30 minutes early, but it was still piping hot, which is a sign that this restaurant is managing their business extremely well. The delivery driver was nice as well, as he offered me a voucher for the restaurant as it was my first time ordering from the restaurant. Seriously, I do not get what all the 1 star reviews of this place are for and I hope you keep this quality of food going. Lads, thank you for actually making good food and managing this restaurant perfectly at the same time. Not many restaurants do this. Maza, I hope you continue to open for as long as possible. Also, I did not give the atmosphere any stars as I haven't been in the restaurant before. I will be back next summer for sure 💯💯💯

14/10/2025: Absolutely love MAZA! The food is always fresh and full of flavour. Their pizzas and tandoori chicken are amazing, and the munchy boxes are perfect for sharing. Friendly service, great prices, and fast delivery — definitely my go-to takeaway in town!

28/10/2025: Usually love Hook & Ladder, but last visit wasn't the best experience. We couldnt get out of there quickly enough literally tormented by the same looped 4 traks of 'musak' and at way too loud a volume for comfort. We couldn't believe none of the staff seemed to be aware that the tracks were replaying, I think we heard them almost a dozen times. The other unbelievably loud noise compounded the first. Five or six late teen to early twenties waitor/waitresses were making a right racket having a congress at the counter, blissfully unaware of the volume they were at. Very nice, each one, but we genuinely felt agitated and stressed by the time we got out of there. Not a visit we'd ever like to repeat.

18/10/2025: One of my favourite spots for brunch in Waterford. We recently hosted a baby shower here and the service was lovely. We were accommodated nicely and also the food was great. Highly recommend for a cozy and relaxing vibe .

26/07/2025: If this Chinese takeaway was any better, I’d propose to it. Every single dish is very good, crispy, flavorful, and made with so much care. Myself and my wife were here for holiday staying in the Fitz caravan park. I have to say, the bad reviews of this place here on google is so fake. Otherwise there has been huge improvement because i couldnt recommend this place enough. The crispy chilli beef absolutely beautiful with a perfect balanced between sweet, spicy, and crunchy. The salt and chilli chips are so addictive. Portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the owner and counter girls are such genuine beautiful people always chatty and friendly and carry a smile that could cure depression. The food arrives piping hot, even when delivered, and every bite tastes like it was made fresh because it was. If you haven’t tried this place yet, you’re doing yourself a disservice. It’s not just the best Chinese takeaway in town it’s the kind of place that ruins all other takeaways for you. 10/10, no notes, just pure deliciousness. 🥢🔥

07/03/2026: Terrible rude service, items missing from order didn't care or offer to send them. I was still charged though-so basically robbed. When I rang the restaurant the man on the phone couldn't care less and blamed the app aven though I saw on my screen that I had ordered garlic bread. He said I should get in touch with the company as the app is nothing to do with them. No wonder they have high staff turn over, nobody cares.

11/02/2026: Had an early morning hot chocolate on a weekday morning. Service was barely polite almost surly. Hot chocolate was average at best . Nothing pleasant about the experience at all.

Man who i think is owner very rude staring waiting on your to finish your dinner very off putting lifting plates when others at the table are still eating Meals were all over the place rice was out 15 mins before the mains were ready 2 people's starters were out 10 mins after others had finished not a single person in the place seemed or acted like they had a clue what was going on i will not be back and I advise others to stay away
