The best restaurants in Waterford

20/02/2025: Extremely poor experience over all. I ordered two portions of salt and chillie ribs for collection on 19/02/25 at around 17:30. I got home and started eating the food an hour later . I noticed that one of the ribs look different to the others and had a very bad rotting smell, rubbery texture and a white sticky substance in the middle of this particular piece. I had already consumed some of the ribs before noticing. I called the restaurant straight away to let them know and the receptionist told me that the chef would call me back that evening. I got no call from the chef all evening. I had to call them back the next day and the receptionist said that they got busy. She went to speak to the chef and the chef said that all they could do was give me another portion of ribs because nobody else complained about the ribs that day . I tried to explain to her that it wasn’t a very good solution because I won’t be eating there anymore. Due to them selling expired food. Not only did the chef never call me back, he never offered an apology or offer me a refund. I have attached a picture below.

14/11/2024: Ordered food last night, nothing was fresh, onions and carrots tasted spoiled, chicken was tough. My brother tasted some and now has food poisoning all day. Making some bad food for quick money, wouldn’t recommend the place, am completely put off Chinese takeaway

26/04/2025: Food was very good and staff were nice. Place looked clean. I had chicken tenders that came with fries and curry chicken chips. Price was affordable as well. Would recommend

05/05/2025: Shocking, would let a 3 year old in with a 40 year olds ID absolutely plagued with underage drinking.

29/01/2025: i came here today to get a coffe / and there was que in front so i decided to use the toilet before and when i was passing over the counter receptionist name Jay shouted across the cafe at me toilet only for coustumer use only. that was the rudest thing i heard in my life other customers also expressed the same shock as me. how can someone put up with such a rude behaviour.

23/04/2025: I don't like the new area they've done up. They've taken up a load of space with two table games which I was told you must book online to play. They look like they were very expensive, and I have never seen anyone play them! Bring back the picnic benches or something similar. Those high chairs aren't comfortable to sit at for long periods of time while waiting on a game of pool. What goose thought of putting mainly high chairs in a pool and darts area.

22/03/2025: Yesterday we vent to play darts, omg it was shocking how bad was it. 40e for one hour for three of us, and we spent most of the time correcting scores then playing. Very bad system, doesn't worth any money.. It's better to go in any other bar to play, you doesn't need to pay anything.

13/10/2024: A mocha on a take away cup when I’m sitting in the cafe ? I asked and he told me all mochas go in a take away cup! We have sat in 4 times in just this years and never received a mocha in a coffee cup while sitting down !!! Wdaf !!! Cannot taste the Belgian chocolate like I did yday or any other day I sat in or took away! Got a mocha yday and it tasted way better and more chocolate flavour like I have received every other time in here! The guy clearly wasn’t happy or confused my partner went up to complain! Useless custowmrs service! Very slow at cleaning up after other customers! We had to clear our own table!

22/09/2024: Unusual ist in the door on Sunday morning. Superised to see crumbs on chairs tables and floor unsweepted for Saturday trading

13/04/2025: . Worst food I have ever had .partner ordered steak and wasn't asked what way he would like it cooked. I ordered steak but it ended up a stew and was full of salt . Veg was the worst and the chap that served us had no manner and explained after the order went on that mine was a stew even though I asked for pepper sauce with it and still didn't explain it was a stew . Never again

12/04/2025: Lovely pub experience. Food was very tasty. Service was great! The ambiance is second to none. You could spend hours exploring. The portion sizes were more than fair. The food was fresh, hot and incredible! We just need to educate Bobby on one important fact: saying a Canadian is the same thing as an American is like saying an Irishman is the same thing as an Englishman. Hopefully that gets the point across.

21/03/2025: Came in on 21/03/25 with friends, called for an ice tea with no ice. The lady working gave me a look and said “well I will have to fill the rest with water then” I didn’t know but agreed, my friend ordered a dragon fruit drink also with no ice, we saw her adding about 2 inches of the flavour in the cup and the rest with water, we were near the end and it was packed, and the lady’s working never called us for our drinks and left them on the counter. We got our drinks and they were to say the least horrible. Mine tasted like a tea bag left in water for too long with no peach flavour and my friends said “tasted like watered down dilute. And my other friends who got a lavender frappe, said hers was held full and tasted like milk and half cream, overall did not like the looks and the snickering from the lady’s could do a better job

05/05/2025: Coffee is ok. Slow moving which sort of defeats the purpose of drive thru. Staff need to be more careful of mould on food that they are serving.

03/05/2025: Not great. The cinnamon bun was very hard and stale.

18/04/2025: I bought potatoes, 5 euros a portion, the potatoes were very tasteless, bitter, they don't change the oil, it's impossible to eat, I threw it all out, I won't buy there anymore

29/03/2025: Very weird pub, would not recommend. Idk how you mess up chips but they sure found a way, pint glasses smell bad too, no music!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

25/05/2025: Very disappointing, gone down hill over the last year. Staff were rude and unhelpful. Food was inedible, had to send eggs back as they weren’t cooked (poached eggs were raw -not hot and egg white was transparent). No apologies just advised to order poached eggs as ‘not soft’ next time. No ice for iced coffee either?

07/11/2024: Service and atmosphere was unfriendly, unwelcoming and rude. My meal was not cooked properly. Chips were half cooked.

28/05/2025: Tried this place for my first ever spice bag. €19, enough food for two, no red or green peppers, very little onion and red chilli. Fried rice was ok. The chicken was tough and overcooked. More salt than spice. Neither of us could finish it. I'll give this place a miss in the future, and probably spice bags as well.

15/04/2025: Horrible food poisoning from the Chicken Chow Mein. The food was prepared within 5 minutes, so I'm assuming it's premade and stored for days on end. I will never go back, vomiting all night and stuck on the toilet for 2 days. It's such a pity because I used to be a regular.

03/11/2024: Had a calm atmosphere. The service was okay. Nice view outside. The banana fritter was delicious! ( it’s a dessert) Decorations are cute. EXPENSIVE VERY VERY.

08/10/2024: We booked a table for our dinner here recently and wasn't disappointed. The premises were clean and the staff were professional and friendly. The service was swift. We all had different dishes from starters through mains and dessert. The food was delicious. Would return.
