27/10/2025: Staff are friendly & helpful. Food is tasty 😋

24/09/2025: Food and service is always amazing- the staff are so lovely and the pancakes are some of the best that I’ve had. I always have a good experience with the waitresses and they seem to have great relationships with the locals/ regulars. I have to say though, for the second time now, I’ve noticed the man who I assume is the manager/ head chef talking down to the staff and being rude to them. Could be just that he’s busy or I’m catching him at a bad moment but it definitely sets a bad tone for customers to overhear and get the impression that staff aren’t being treated right- especially given the great job they’re doing!

29/03/2026: Love Genoas! We had the bags of chips last year and dreamt of them when we got back home. Came back this year and tried a few other menu items! Can’t wait to come back for take away next year!

24/02/2026: Ordered 50/50 meals - specifically requested no pickles (allergy). Also ordered hot honey sauce on the side. Ramekin came out with cold honey squeezed into it and paprika salt sprinkled in on top of it-unheated and cold. Sliders came out with pickles- bit into same and realised. Requested same and stated no pickles . Staff removed the pickles and brought back same sliders on meal. Again requested fresh sliders came back with reheated buns same chicken inside whereby the pickles were on. Not a very pleasant experience. Also charged for kids meal despite kids under 12 eating free as advertised on the window when €14 spent by an adult . Really negative experience as a whole prior to a hospital appointment

25/07/2025: We had our wedding cake made by Rob&Steve's as we love their cakes. We had a two tier red velvet and lemon cake and it was delicious. I got my flowers from Bizzie Lizzies and dropped them in and the lads arranged them beautifully on the cake. They also delivered and set up our cake at the venue.

01/03/2026: We occasionally order takeaway from this place, and not once has the food been delivered on time or without us having to make additional calls to the restaurant. We have never waited less than two hours for our food, and it usually arrives cold. If you want Indian food for dinner, I strongly recommend ordering it at breakfast time — hopefully it will arrive by dinner!

22/02/2026: We have been getting take away from Peppers for years now and I just wanted to say that the quality and service has never faulted. The food is always fresh and arrives hot when we get it delivered. The chicken jalfrezi is very very good. The flavours are amazing and the peppers not over cooked. The best Indian restaurant in Waterford by far.

11/01/2026: We stayed as a large group split over three apartments. It was perfect. Very friendly, central location and comfortable.

22/11/2025: Sorry but, not for me, room small, extremely noisy, other guests arriving back very late, and could hear every sound. Went to boil kettle, to find it half full with dirty cloudy water. Self service breakfast cold. Even though cost is low, I still expect good clean basic service.

01/11/2025: I don’t know why this hotel has such a low rating… The rooms were good… The staff were phenomenal. Sure it is a bit dated but that adds to the charm. I only request would be for them to add beans back onto the breakfast menu.

15/03/2026: Basic hotel that is accurately priced. Staff were very young but friendly and attentive. Food was very basic. Outdated carpet floors and facilities. Non smoking policy is not well policed. Ideal location in the city by the river with access to the Greenway. Free parking is offsite and not well signposted.

07/03/2026: Ok, listen… I am a dumb American but the pics on this are a lie 🤣 we chose Ireland for our honeymoon… woot woot! Had a blast, rented a car and drove all over the country literally. We got to this hotel, and it’s already more grungy than the pics which I’m ok with because it’s just expected nowadays. But. The nastiness was a little bit overkill. We laid down and a BEE STUNG us. It was in the sheets. Told the attendant at the front desk and he asked if we’d like to change rooms. I said no we are leaving and he said we wouldn’t get a refund. We are not wealthy people but it was so bad I said wonderful we are still leaving. Any ways. It’s a trap don’t do it.

09/09/2025: Absolutely horrible place don’t clean the toilets I’ve been to other insomnia cafes and they were lovely this place the quality and taste is horrible , a staff member her name is Emily was advised not to make it too hot as it was for a 3 year old and my sister burnt her mouth with the hot chocolate disgusting

30/08/2025: Coffee is not up to the standard that it should be. I only ever go to insomnia when I’m in a new place because I know that coffee in insomnia is the best and everywhere else I go it’s really good. This place has a good vibe, lovely staff but coffee was definitely not up to standard. I even asked for a remake and it was the same poor flavour of coffee. It is upsetting especially when you know how insomnia coffee usually tastes like and you are not getting it
