The best restaurants in Waterford

11/02/2026: The food was okay. I would expect kebab for 9 € to be of better quality, but the bread tasted homemade and overall it was tasty. Minor stomach disruptions after eating but that's normal with these products. Not the best place but will visit again when really hungry.

07/02/2026: Absolute smashing snackbox and kebab. Worth of going to the other side of city to get it. The best chipper in Waterford.

19/01/2026: Today my son was very unwell in McDonalds on the cork Rd in Waterford. I was very anxious and a lady called Mary helped me and sorted out everything and didn't make me feel embarrassed. She was so nice and so good to me and my son. Its not often you see staff who would be as kind and helpful. Thank you Mary and I have shared this with McDonalds head office. They are lucky to have you.

13/01/2026: Grandchildren love to eat at McDonald's. Very busy olqve. Very clean and I have gto say very pleasant staff. Called in today for takeaway for grandchildren. Kids happy with food. Very pleasant server. Toilets super clean.

05/09/2025: Bought a cod and chips with garlic sauce today and have to say on a scale of 1 to 10 it was very nice . Best way to eat the cod is to set your phone up real close to your head and put it on reverse so you can see every morsel go into your mouth , then bang it up on Instagram. Ill definitely visit it again. Over and over and over........

07/02/2026: Indeed, browsing the menu, the prices seem high, but the final bill wasn't. The food was good and plentiful. The place was well-decorated. The staff was very kind and friendly and gave us excellent advice. It turned out to be a lovely evening. See you next time.

25/01/2026: The menu choice was good,if somewhat too much to look at from the menu.There is an early bird menu from 5pm to 7 and is 25 euro for a 4 course meal.I found the black bean sauce on my dish rather heavy and glupey...it took from my main dish which was the house special.They do serve wine and soft drinks with your meal at a cost obviously.I did feel that the food was not very hot and wondered why there was a hot plate on the table to keep your food warm.Staff were pleasant enough but not overly...asked the mandatory question"Is everything ok.Dont know if I would want to run back here again to eat.

31/12/2025: The food isn’t as nourishing and healthy as they claim. Most of the stuff from the menu is deep fried and the sourdough toast was rock hard. The coffee wasn’t tasty either. Kids menu is not healthy at all. Overrated and overpriced for what they provide.

12/12/2025: Amazing concept. The food was absolutely incredible, and I love that I can get lentils, nuts, and seeds straight out of a jar instead of wrestling with yet another plastic pack. Love the refillable household items, and Irish produce. So simple — so genius and so delicious!

08/01/2026: Don't be fooled by this hotel it looks like nothing in the photos online. Very old, pool was Cold, jacuzzi was freezing, dressing rooms dirty, rooms eerie and pokey. Lifts were broken only one was working for the hotel and it was tiny. No fridges in room. Not a baby friendly hotel.

01/01/2026: Incredibly over priced for the most standard room you could possibly ask for from a hotel. It cost over 200 euro a night! For what? It is a very old building and the decor reflects this, it smelled old. I do not recommend considering the price, ridiculous.

12/02/2026: I recently ordered food from Shake Dog in Waterford and had a very unpleasant experience. The food arrived cold, which was disappointing to begin with. Unfortunately, it got worse — there was a long hair (around 9cm) in my burger, which was extremely off-putting and completely unacceptable from a hygiene perspective. The milkshake also tasted rank, almost sour, and didn’t seem fresh at all. After eating, I ended up with severe stomach pains, which made the whole experience even worse. Overall, this was a very disappointing and concerning visit. I won’t be returning anytime soon.

15/12/2025: Good food at Shake Dog Waterford. The spicy burger was perfectly seasoned, the Texas fries were bold and fiery, and the strawberry milkshake was outstanding. Great quality, great taste, and not a single complaint. Definitely worth a visit.
