The best restaurants in Waterford

25/07/2024: Golden jade is the best Chinese take away in the area and I get it every time the portions are big the staff are friendly and the food is delicious and made quickly , I recommend getting the honey and chilli chicken or the Thai green chicken curry.

18/09/2023: Dog friendly. Good food. Little expensive i thought but it was really nice flavour. Chicken gougons had a harf cripsy coating and the smash burger was really good. Order took a bit long but we'll worth the wait.

02/09/2023: Good food, friendly staff. I had "Squash bhaji" which was really good. Chips could have less or non salt, especially for kids meals.

08/09/2024: What a jewel by the sea, a traditional hotel with everything you could possibly want! Food was excellent and reasonable, staff were helpful and pleasant! Highly recommend a visit or ten!

29/10/2024: Lovely cafe in the centre of John Roberts square. Met the owner while looking at the menu outside. We are dairy free and we were well fed I must say. I had a pulled pork wrap with the most delicious coconut hot chocolate. See the photos. Lovely staff. Nothing is too much trouble. I think it's my favourite place as from today !

04/11/2024: This used to be one of my favourite places to eat, but sadly it's gone down hill . Got a moes chicken salad, asked for no beetroot but extra peppers, no beetroot or peppers, the salad leaves were soggy and old , they tasted musty. Also the fries were pickled in salt and inedible, had to send them back They only seem to clean the tables when the owner is there as the tables are never cleaned properly and are sticky.

31/08/2024: The best Mexican in the south east!! Fish tacos are to die for I think we have developed an addiction to them tbh! (Just need the slaw) 😉 Chilli beef tacos are also amazing!! I think we could be chingons best customers at this rate 😂 (loyalty cards?) 😂 All the staff are just lovely, so chatty and helpful! 10/11/2024: I had high hopes for this place, but it was a disaster from the start. The atmosphere was chaotic, with multiple groups getting rowdy and drinking excessively. The lights were even turned off so everyone could sing “Happy Birthday” – multiple times! It felt like a college party, not a restaurant. The service was just as bad. The waitstaff were uninterested, acting like we were an inconvenience rather than customers paying money to be there. No one bothered to check on us once after dropping off our food, which, by the way, was awful. The portions were laughably small, and the food quality was shockingly low. The won ton soup was so peppery it was practically inedible, and the rest of the dishes tasted like cheap, frozen meals. I could have done better with a freezer aisle run at Tesco. This was hands-down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. Save your money and go elsewhere – there’s nothing worth coming back for here.

06/11/2024: First time trying tonight, won't be trying again. Got a house special curry, which was so watery and had no flavour at all, also got salt and chilli chicken wings, very disappointed. Plus their website is incorrect,ended up paying two euro more for what was originally advertised. Very disappointed overall, however the staff were lovely. But definitely won't be back
