The best restaurants in Waterford

25/07/2025: We had our wedding cake made by Rob&Steve's as we love their cakes. We had a two tier red velvet and lemon cake and it was delicious. I got my flowers from Bizzie Lizzies and dropped them in and the lads arranged them beautifully on the cake. They also delivered and set up our cake at the venue.

11/07/2025: OMG fantastic selection of cakes and confectionery.

02/08/2025: Friendly service. I was a bit disappointed, the restaurant of a greyhound racecourse did not allow a greyhound inside. We had a retired greyhound, that would have been quiet under the table.

12/10/2025: Heard so much about how good this place was, and decided to give it a try. The open seafood sandwich was really good and plentiful and filling, but paying through the nose for FROZEN GOUJONS was the big let down for me to be honest. Breakfast is a bit on the pricey side, coffee is good.

29/08/2025: Staff are very friendly and welcoming and the food was quite nice but the managers shouting at their staff in front of everyone and choosing to walk past with peoples food instead of giving it to the customers to give out to their workers really ruins the atmosphere in the place makes it awkward for customers, other than that quite a nice place

14/10/2025: We called in here with no booking, we were seated straight away and we had our food on our tables within 10 minutes. Food was piping hot and delicious, there's was plenty to choose from. Plenty of parking on the street.

11/11/2025: Unfortunately didn’t actually get to eat anything. Similar to a few other reviews the service was just not worth the pain. Being considerate, I left our dog outside & went inside to ask if I could bring him inside. After a minor pause, he said he wasn’t allowed inside as the dog would wet the floor & make it slippery. Everyone inside was wearing wet shoes & the floor was wet. Funnily enough I too, was wearing wet shoes inside the shop & my shoe size would probably be equivalent to about 12 dog paws, but that was ok? No problem about not letting dogs inside but at least be honest. The response turned me off eating there & I left.

26/09/2025: Kinda weird. They sat us down in the dining room. An empty room, nobody was there. Took our drinks orders, gave us menus. We were ready to go. Then they told us the kitchen wasn’t open…

25/08/2025: Good choice of food. My son was able to have gluten free fish and chips and this is the reason we chose to eat here. The restaurant was very busy when we ate here. We had booked a table. We were a little late being seated, at no fault to the staff,just that the previous diners were enjoying the last of their meal. Staff were so apologetic about this and offered us a drink on the house. This was a very nice gesture and we appreciated it. A great little dining spot in Tramore with gluten free options and very pleasant staff.

20/08/2025: Absolutely lovey. Food perfect. Great service. Lovely surroundings. Caters for Gluten free and lactose intolerant. Nothing too much trouble. Would drive the hour and a half from home just to eat here. (was o a family day trip with visitors, never been to Tramore before although lived in County Wexford for 17 years!).

03/11/2025: 'Empty you Pockets at Eddie Rockets' as the saying went. For some junk food for two, served up by an indifferent server.... Over €45 😲. A Burger and fries, a chicken wings and fries. Two cokes. €45.40. Crazy. No wonder the place was empty at 7.30pm on a Friday evening.

24/09/2025: Food and service is always amazing- the staff are so lovely and the pancakes are some of the best that I’ve had. I always have a good experience with the waitresses and they seem to have great relationships with the locals/ regulars. I have to say though, for the second time now, I’ve noticed the man who I assume is the manager/ head chef talking down to the staff and being rude to them. Could be just that he’s busy or I’m catching him at a bad moment but it definitely sets a bad tone for customers to overhear and get the impression that staff aren’t being treated right- especially given the great job they’re doing!

28/11/2025: Chicken was dry tough and chips had like a BBQ aftertaste curry sauce was cold my son's tenders meal wasn't any better chicken was dry and tough like it was on the shelf with hours mighty Mac meal was ok but again with these meals the chips had a BBQ aftertaste for some reason overall was not happy with the value compared to ardkeen and kings meadow which is always spot on

12/12/2025: Amazing concept. The food was absolutely incredible, and I love that I can get lentils, nuts, and seeds straight out of a jar instead of wrestling with yet another plastic pack. Love the refillable household items, and Irish produce. So simple — so genius and so delicious!

24/08/2025: That's not a main portion of calamari rings, no matter how you put it. Extra point for a staff member rectifying this by selling this tiny snack as a starter (that's why 5 stars for service, too).

24/08/2025: Popped in for breakfast. Mini breakfast was grand although a euro or two more expensive then other places. Staff are nice.

20/08/2025: I have to say this was my favorite little spot I spent 2 days in Waterford and this little gem was right across the way from me I'm coliac and get left out from their amazing menu I can't tell you how rare it is for me to enter an establishment and dine like everyone else in the place thank you so much the food was amazing the atmosphere was class and the staff were too notch helpful not only accommodating to 2 moody pre teens but 3 tired adults even helped us with bus time tables I highly and whole heartedly recommend this place and can not wait to make a return for some delisous food.

24/08/2025: Great pub. We stayed here 1 night upstairs - really good. Can watch EPL and other sports here too

07/08/2025: A real highlight at the start of our Ireland tour. We spent two wonderful evenings at John's pub, "Downey's." If you're looking for great live music (thanks to Joe Power and Mo O'Connor), friendly people, and good Guinness, Downey's is highly recommended.
