13/10/2024: Just a disappointing experience, went in for Sunday dinner, sat down at a table with the last customers food still there, waited 20 mins, table still not cleared or menu handed out they were clearly under staffed ended up leaving and went to the latch restaurant up the road, brilliant place, excellent service, if your passing by like ourselves drive pass this place and go to the latch, at least there your welcomed and fed.

10/10/2024: Huge bar near the wonderful People's Park just on the outskirts of the city.Chess club every Tuesday night,,but it's a nice pub if you'd like a quiet pint or to watch the football..they do food,but I can't comment as I've never eaten here...seems to have standard fare(Soup and sandwiches chicken Kiev's,casserole/stew,fish and chips etc.)Plenty of room and a cosy snug with fire at the front.Has potential to be a great pub.Could do with a makeover as it's tatty,

15/08/2024: Bought about six cakes to take away! The lady serving me was quite rude and as I was calling the cakes out she was putting them in the register and totting them up. Then packaged them after, she put in two of the wrong cakes which I found out after I drive home. She was very nonchalant and wanted to put three of the cakes in a bag not to waste two boxes but I had a long drive home and knew they would get squashed. Very strange staff approach!!

13/08/2024: This has to be one of the best places in Waterford for coffee. The beans they use are full of flavour and clearly high quality. They also have a decent range of snacks, such as toasties and overnight oats.

05/11/2024: We have been visiting shake dog on the cork road in waterford twice a week for at least a year now so we are regulars to the place. We go every Friday evening for dinner and Sunday mornings for breakfast. The quality of their food has been consistently very good and always freshly cooked, the burgers and breakfasts are to die for, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. We’ve always had a nice experience every time we visited. We cannot fault anything, keep us the good work! Would highly recommend, it’s a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for us 😃

05/11/2024: Spent a couple of evenings in this wonderful pub recent. The atmosphere and service by John and his staff were 5*. The Guinness was top class too!
On my 1st evening, I lost a new set of false teeth between the pub & my friend's house. We mentioned it to John and sure enough the next morning he found them at the front door. He bumped into my friends sister, who relayed the good news to us. John went out of his way and saved me a packet in the process.
I couldn't recommend Quealys Bar more highly and I'll be back soon. The teeth are still in tact.

The Latch

14/10/2024: The Latch in Tallow is a one off and great experience. If you were alive 30/40 years ago the food was wholesome and great value for money, this is the Latch today. The staff and owners are so lovely to deal with but the rumour that it may close at Christmas I urge you to go and have their food.

16/07/2024: Disappointed, with great curiosity I chose this place to try their house drink Kazabar Illusion, which left me totally disappointed because I like to observe the techniques of colleagues, the bartender on this occasion did not add Malibu to the cocktail, the truth is it looked like juice with a lot of ice, totally a waste of time and money, I do not recommend it
