The best restaurants in Waterford

20/10/2024: Mandarin Palace is the very best of Ferrybank. It truly feels like a second home away from home. It is run by a Chinese family that is always welcoming and makes every guest feel comfortable. Its a true Palace, with restaurant and cafe with different spots for everyone to find their place and still be among all. Great music and amazing food. The America flag colours the ceiling for those who cheer on big dreams. And if you just want a pint and play some dart it's also fine.

18/12/2024: A great little WYSIWYG bar and the best Guinness I've ever tasted. Friendly locals and bar staff, did I mention the Guinness was the best I've ever had?

19/10/2024: One of the best pints of Guinness, you'll get in Gorey.

30/03/2025: A lovely cafe, tasty food and good coffee. The service was great and the staff were friendly.

25/02/2025: Had such a lovely breakfast here yesterday, staff were lovely, quick service even though they were busy and food was great quality. :)

22/01/2025: This restaurant is so lovely - wonderful staff and really good food . We had a variety of dishes from calamari , risotto, hake , pizza . It gets really busy in the summer so it’s best to book . We like going in the winter when it’s quieter and it’s easier to get a table . I can’t recommend highly enough.

21/02/2025: Great place for a pint, pre-game before Shelbourne vs Waterford. Always friendly service and good pints.

25/10/2024: Simply the best pizza around! Absolutely delicious, chewy yet crispy pizza bases and really tasty ingredients. They do takeaway and sit down, 6 tables inside with a nice atmosphere where you can watch the guys work the wood fired oven whether you're sitting down or just waiting for your takeaway. 5 stars perfect pizza every time and great guys and gals running the show

27/02/2025: Oulalalalaa fish and chips with smoked cod! Oulalalalaa a sick thing served with light fries and mayOgarlic sauce and pea puree. A service worthy of an attentive and smiling star. A decor perfectly in keeping with the Irish theme. Big!

28/03/2025: The food was amazing. Really fresh and just delicious. The portion sizes are very good too. The duck spring rolls are lovely for starters. I wish I ordered extra satay sauce because it was so nice. I'd definitely recommend this place and I'll definitely be going there again the next time I'm in Waterford.

27/03/2025: We celebrated my friend's 40th birthday here. I made reservations very far in advance. You have to prepay for the reservation. The person outside the storehouse did not understand that we had both reservations and tour tickets, so she tried to send us away until our ticket time, which was 2 hours after our lunch reservation. We finally got someone who understood and let us in. The staff was fantastic. The birthday was fun. Everyone in the party of 6 loved the food. The prices were reasonable. They did not accept a tip on their machine. We had tour tickets for 2 hours later. They give you your drink tickets when you check in, and you dont have to wait for your timeslot. You just go as soon as you are done at the restaurant.

22/02/2025: I sent an email directly but did not even get an acknowledgement to my email. I’m writing to you to express my disappointment in the standards of the function I attended a few weeks ago. The room was Baltic cold on arrival even thorough the host being assured the heaters would be put on a few hours beforehand. It took me two hours before I could take off my coat despite being directly under the heater. Secondly there were no toilets in the section so we had to go outside which was totally unlit, pitch black and extremely dangerous with steps and plant pots to negotiate, then enter the main warm restaurant to use their bathroom facilities. Thirdly there was a very unpleasant smell of sewage the entire evening. A number of us commented on this smell. I personally would not recommend your venue for a private party although I believe the food in the main restaurant is excellent.

15/10/2024: Wonderful place to eat. Lovely homely atmosphere, staff really friendly and accommodating. Food was really good quality food and well presented. Very clean, would recommend.
