The Railway Cottage

05/03/2025: After cycling the greenway it is a resting station, which was thought good. I ordered americano and scones were the standard. We had a seat, a cold air was coming from somewhere, I really don’t understand why coffee places cannot keep the inside cozy, and ruin the short pleasant time with the coldness. They have a car park area, outside seats, and a bike park.

17/03/2025: Very belligerent older bar manager lady. The bar itself is grand but businesses like these are often ruined by customer hating managers obsessed with rules and making people feel very unwelcome. My family won't be back. Shame.
*just to note the other younger staff were lovely

14/01/2025: We were at the museum and went to a cafe. Smiling and helpful staff. The cakes are fresh and delicious. Hot chocolate so sweet that the children couldn't get enough 🤪😅

22/03/2025: The food was gorgeous, we both had chicken wings for starter (one honey, and the other salt & pepper) and they were superb. The batter was to perfection. For mains we both had roast duck (one in plum sauce, and the other in orange sauce) and again it was lovely.
02/02/2025: Overall, I had a good experience, service was slow. I was waiting quite a while for my mains after my friend had been served. I had to remind staff that I was still waiting for mine. This delay may have been partly created by my friend ordering two starters, one as their mains!! Overall the meal was fine, I would probably call again.

22/03/2025: I can confidently say that this is the most delicious food I have tasted in Ireland for all my 3 years of stay here, my husband and I are incredibly satisfied with the service and the fresh food! Their pizza Pepperoni was soo tasty … Definitely we gonna come back ❤️🤌🏻

01/11/2024: Would highly recommend this pub to anyone if you're in the town. It's a family run pub. The atmosphere and the craic in this place is amazing. Colin and daughter Kim made us feel welcomed, and their staff were brilliant. The 3 days we were there was out of this world and can't thank them enough. I just wish I could give them more than 5 stars.

16/03/2025: Got a delivery asked for extra sauce on the wrap which they ignored it's as dry with a dot of garlic On it asked for Salt and vinegar which they ignored as well and they put none ordered bbq wings and they sent out soggy tenders with bbq which was spilt all inside the bag take them Off the menu if ye don't have them absolute waste of money in the bin it is would not order from here again if you are able to read the order well you can read the comments so don't be so ignorant and ignore what the customer is asking for

06/03/2025: Everything is great. But the hotel is on an island. It takes a little time on the ferry to cross 200 meters 😀
The rooms are good, the kitchen is wonderful - you can cook whatever your heart desires. Warm, spacious. Quiet residential area.
04/02/2025: My partner and I planned our destination wedding at Waterford Castle! The team at Waterford was so wonderful to work with, and so accommodating. Gillian is amazing at her job and made our whole day seamless. Everything from the beauty of the Venue to the food was perfect on our day!
Everyone at Waterford went above and beyond for us and we truly cannot thank them enough.
We would absolutely recommend to everyone!!

Mandarin Palace

20/10/2024: Mandarin Palace is the very best of Ferrybank. It truly feels like a second home away from home. It is run by a Chinese family that is always welcoming and makes every guest feel comfortable. Its a true Palace, with restaurant and cafe with different spots for everyone to find their place and still be among all. Great music and amazing food. The America flag colours the ceiling for those who cheer on big dreams. And if you just want a pint and play some dart it's also fine.
