12/08/2025: Too many staff members not doing specific roles. Ordered two coffees and 10 minutes later when they were ready one was wrong. They still gave me the cold coffee that had been sitting for 15 minutes.

09/07/2025: Vegan and vegetarian options only, it's ok but I have had better elsewhere. ***Update as requested by the owner- reviewing experience from three months ago. Had "the garden gate" and a matcha latte.

22/05/2025: Super surprise in finding this place for vegetarian and vegan food. We had three full plates normally costing € 10.50 were priced down to €5.50 as it was after 1 pm. Food was very tasty and I am not easily impressed.

29/06/2025: Harley's Cafe / Bistro Harley’s Cafe / Bistro is in the village of Portlaw. It is easy to get to, with plenty of parking directly outside and on the adjoining streets. It is a casual, but well appointed, comfortable little cafe that seems to be well supported by locals and visitors. Although maybe not immediately obvious to everyone, there is a theme to this cafe, and the first clue lies with the name. The Chef / Owner is obviously a Motorbike enthusiast and there are subtle clues to this within the decor. Not biker themed in an overbearing way, but done very tastefully, with a few interesting items dotted around, amongst other interesting pieces of artwork and decor. The service here is very efficient and friendly, and they are only too happy to cater for any specific requests to your order. If he gets time, the Chef / Owner always takes time out from his station to check on his customers and have a friendly word, making it seem a very personal homely place to visit. The food quality here is fantastic. I have called here for lunch a good while ago, but on this occasion, as is my usual, a full breakfast was the reason for my visit. First the tea and coffee comes out, both good quality ( The Barista Bay coffee in particular is very nice, being sourced from a local coffee supplier in Dunmore East) Next to arrive is the two big slices of toast. Proper slabs of bread, no cheap pre sliced bread used for the toast here. I am not sure if it is made in house, or sourced locally, possibly from someone with a background in the former Portlaw bakery (That was lovely bread too). But either way, it's nice to get two big slabs of toast. The breakfast was great value for what you get. All the ingredients are of a very good quality, and cooked to perfection. The addition of chips is slightly unusual, as opposed to hash browns, or fried potato slices etc as you might get elsewhere… I always think the addition of chips converts a Full Irish breakfast into an all day Grill, just a technicality, but chips are not a morning food… I'm sure it's written in the rules of life somewhere…. As I mentioned previously, Harleys has a great selection of menu items, not only for breakfast, but also for lunch. Also on offer is a lovely range of cakes, desserts and sweet treats! It does not serve evening meals, as it is open from 10 till 3 each day except mondays. Overall, a nice comfortable friendly cafe with great quality food at reasonable prices. A great place to visit on its own or to include while visiting other attractions in the area such as Curraghmore house, The Waterford Greenway, The Waterford Suir Valley Railway, or Mount Congreve House and Gardens.

03/08/2025: Great spot in the heart of Tramore , we got a “family box” of 24 churros and 4 dips for €25 , wait until You see the portion size , which we couldnt finish , we ended up leaving with 10 spare for later that night , safe to safe we will definitely be back , great friendly staff and very clean place , nice sit down inside , definitely worth the try

08/08/2025: A lovely pub that we discovered by accident on a short stop in Waterford. The stuff we're kind enough to accommodate us in the evening even though we were coming with kids. Cosy beer garden as well!

31/05/2025: Best place in Waterford to have a drink! Great community and fantastic selection of rotating beers on tap. Amazing bartenders, Tom is the best in Waterford if not Ireland.

16/06/2025: Fantastic atmosphere with live music, even on a Sunday. Jam on Thursdays is supposed to be an experience.

02/07/2025: Lovely old style family run bar. Great variety of beers and spirits on offer at very reasonable prices. If you like a good sing song Robinson's is the go to spot.

29/06/2025: O'Neills Bar Tramore Located on Summerhill at the top of Tramore. There is plenty of parking available on the street, and in the nearby car park on Priests Road. The premises are located over 2 buildings, the left hand side being O'Neil's Bar, and the right hand side being Mol's Restaurant. There is a step up to access Mol's, but wheelchairs etc can easily access the restaurant going through the pub, which is all on one level. Although in the O’Neil Family for many years, both O’Neil’s Bar, and Mol’s Restaurant have undergone major refurbishment and modernisation, done to a very good standard. Mol's also provides several areas available to hire for private functions, and boasts a spectacular outside area. The Staff in O’Neil’s and Mol's are very attentive, and well trained to a high standard, if you are just in for a quick light bite, or a lunch/evening meal, you are served in a brisk, friendly, efficient manner. The food here is absolutely lovely, and the Sunday Carvery offers great value for money, although due to its popularity, some carvery items often sell out as the day goes on, so be sure to get in at a good time. A good place to visit in Tramore where you can enjoy a drink before or after your meal in O'Neil's Bar, the food is consistently good, and they can cater for large or small groups. Why not visit their sister Bar, The Old Forge located a short stroll down the hill from O'Neil's

18/08/2025: At first I requested take out and was told no. Bear in mind I was ordering nearly €70 worth of food so I thought an exception might have been made if you want my business. Everywhere else was closed on Sunday so decided to stay put and the long wait to get served ensued. So I went to the til to order but was told the waitress would be with me shortly.....there was 6 people in the place🤷‍♂️ my wife and kids arrived shortly after and we were asked to move up the the corner, out of the way basically. No drinks offered, no ask of do we need anything. A very unfriendly place and not accommodating at all. Won't be returning

01/05/2025: Had a lovely evening at Minnies. The atmosphere was relaxed and just right for a chill Monday night. Shoutout to the barman holding it all together - friendly, quick, and knew what he was doing. I’ll definitely be back.

06/08/2025: We used to really love this little cafe, however the quality of the food has just gone down and down but prices are going up. I understand the prices rising as they used to be incredibly low but now it’s just not worth it. 5 euro for 2 pieces of toast that was just plain bread not even sourdough is crazy. Also the eggs are clearly microwaved and really runny. My mum got porridge that was hard as a rock, definitely not fresh probably was made the day before and microwaved as I’m used to making porridge and normally is that consistency when left for a long time. However, staff are always pleasant and the cafe has a lovely atmosphere. It would just be nice for the food to improve.

13/07/2025: Very nice cafe in a lovely spot overlooking the coast of Tramore. Highly recommend for coffee and a cake. It was our stopping point on our first visit to Tramore. Nice welcome and we were looked after well!

11/09/2025: A wonderful place for a relaxed treat. We just went for coffee in the afternoon, it was a beautiful day to sit in the garden and enjoy the surroundings, but the interior looks very comfortable too. Do book in advance or you'll have to pay to get across on the chain ferry.

09/09/2025: Was at a 40th wedding anniversary in the golf club. Wonderful time couldn't fault anything. Love having to get the short ferry ride over to te island. 😍
