We had food in the hotel restaurant, and absolutely loved it. Overall we will be definitely back to the hotel. 12/08/2026: I have been a customer of the Tower for many years and have always appreciated both the hotel services and the Leisure Centre. For this reason, I would like to share a recent experience that has left me quite disappointed. Over the past few months, I have been trying to arrange a stay of approximately one month so that I could work remotely from your property during the coming winter. Initially, I enquired about any discounted rates available for extended stays. I was informed that discounts are reserved exclusively for corporate clients and that, as a freelancer, I was not eligible, despite being a long-standing customer. I later contacted the hotel to enquire about staying in one of the apartments. At first, I received a response, but when I asked for information regarding the security measures in place, simply to ensure that the accommodation was safe and secure during such a long stay, I received no further reply and my subsequent emails were ignored. I find it quite disappointing to have received this kind of treatment, especially considering that I have been a loyal customer of the Tower for approximately seven years and have always enjoyed staying at your property. I would appreciate being contacted by a member of your team to discuss the possibility of arranging this extended stay, which I am hoping to undertake during the winter months. Thank you for your time and attention.

30/05/2026: Our stay was nice enough. The room had many amenities, the bathroom was great, especiallythe shower. The weather was warm and there is no AC, so the room was quite stuffy, no air movement. The breakfast was a good spread of hot items, fruit, cereal, pastries, juices, tea and coffee. If you are planning to golf you'll have something to do, otherwise not so much. Our dinner was very tasty and the service was good.

28/05/2026: After we had already booked and paid for this hotel, we received an email saying that there was going to be a private event, and we wouldn't have access to the castle for a 24-hour period. We were staying in one of the lodges. Reading the reviews after the fact, we realized that this has happened to others before. Since the hotel and lodges are on an island, this is particularly problematic. The only other place to get food on the island was at the golf club. The night we went there, they were having a golf event, so we were seated by ourselves in the banquet room. They had run out of the one dish we could eat. The food and wine were mediocre. This hotel needs to do a MUCH better job accommodating its other guests when it is having a private event.

23/06/2026: My partner and I booked a two night stay here as we were taking part in the Waterford Viking Marathon. Reception staff and bar staff were lovely and friendly. We found the breakfast service on the morning of the Marathon very disorganised and there was a very rude and aggressive young blonde waitress. We very much didn't appreciate this before our Marathon. Breakfast the following morning however was a much better experience with far nicer staff members. Food is ok. A side dish listed on the menu was not available to order, but then offered with the fish dish was a bit peculiar. Great location but rooms were nothing special and no complimentary water provided in the rooms.

28/05/2026: Was at a communion the service was chaotic sn all over thr place an it wasnt that big of a crowd in the room id say 5p to 60 peoplr max somr of the food was cold asked for a baby bowl csme out with a full plate for a 6 month old an charged no wont be back

27/09/2026: We had a beautiful meal here 2 weeks ago ,the food and wine was fabulous from start to finish, the service was fantastic, even on a busy night , a lovely cosey atmosphere, will definitely be back thank you 😊

18/08/2026: Came here last night of a break with my two teens as a treat. Food and place amazing but most of all staff were nicest ice ever experienced. Fitted us in although very busy and treated us like VIPs.

15/09/2026: Everything I touched was sticky, a bucket of bleach to rub down doors, tables, chairs.Only had a glass of not so good 10.00 E Sv.blanc waiting for a bus.

06/09/2026: The bar is next to the hotel; it's very formal, very "English," with very friendly and attentive waiters. I was lucky enough to find a guy from Malaga working there, very nice, attentive, and helpful, who was a great help to me. I had a Guinness and a chicken salad with potatoes, which was very good.

07/09/2026: I had a 21st party here for my daughter last night and it was incredible, everything was beautifully laid out , they took care of everything , we just dropped balloons and cake during the day and they organised everything, the staff were professional, helpful and friendly and Justin went above and beyond to ensure the night ran smoothly. 100% recommend for a function
