The best restaurants in Waterford

02/09/2025: Had out family holiday here this summer. Staff were so friendly, lovely hotel and the food was excellent. Dined out in 3 other places too and the food was spectacular. Dungarvan is a lovely town and plenty to keep kids entertained from playground, to beaches, pools and Greenway.

29/07/2025: Far too expensive for what you get. Rooms are more like 3* standard, Wi-Fi is very poor, breakfast is "just okay," and the parking lot is usually overcrowded. The sauna is very small, at no more than 3 square meters.

21/12/2025: Beautiful spot, love to go here. Friendliest staff, great selection of food which is always good and all round lovely place.

24/11/2025: Food was ok but breakfast was visually unappealing. Taste was ok but selection was very poor such as no beans or mushrooms. Service was good.

14/08/2025: You can always rely on a good pint there and can have a laugh and a sing along if you want.

27/11/2025: Amazing place tucked away in the Comeragh mountains, so relaxing and the staff are really fantastic. The food is great and gluten free diet catered for so we'll. Mary herself is a powerhouse and always ready for a chat. They also have some wonderful food gifts for Christmas.

30/12/2025: Activate was the absolute highlight of our holidays. We found it online while searching for fun things to do in Waterford with 3 boys aged 9,10 and 13. We decided to book online and visit. From the moment we arrived the staff were accommodating and friendly. Jack thought our 3 boys how to do the climbing wall and was fantastic with them. The boulder climbing was lots of fun and he had great patience with them. We then used the physical gaming zone again the man explaining what to do was fun and was great getting them to listen and engage. It was great fun and something we could all do. We returned the next day for the bowling another great hit. ACTIVATE is trendy colourful new and really fun. I would highly recommend it and the good coffee was a real bonus. It is excellent value for money and a must if you are looking for some fun with kids.

01/11/2025: Very busy place, but staff was very helpful in finding a place and very efficient service. The Menue is quite extensive for such a small place and food was good, as was the coffee. Altogether a very pleasant experience

07/01/2026: We came into this bar in the afternoon after walking around the town and it looked very inviting in from the outside. A warm welcome, a very good service. The prices for the drinks was excellent. The guinness i had was exceptional. I loved the decor inside. Overall a very grand experience.

16/12/2025: went to moes as a last resort never in my life will i go back. food was sitting under lamp for at least 5-10 mins with no one dropping anything. once i got my food there was a sliverfish bug on my plate beside my panini. you can’t make this up this is a joke. me and friends couldn’t even finish our food. didn’t even get a full refund only on my panini even though i got waffle fries and coffee also. no chef or any kitchen staff gave me an apology. couldn’t run out of that place any faster. should have went to mollys. don’t bother wasting ur money here sick sick sick i have photos but i haven’t a clue how to attach them just trust me it was grim. bye moes need a health inspector quick !

30/08/2025: Over from London for a few days, myself and some of the cousins had a great night here. There was a good band playing, the Guinness was top quality, and I got to practice my Gaelic with the charming bar-staff. Can't wait to go back next time I'm over

03/07/2025: Karolina and Micheal top class. Had a great pint of Guinness Zero and the hunger pangs were satisfied by exceptionally tasty chicken goujans and a delish taco with a dribble of chilli sauce. Absolutely amazing gem if a olive with so much history and deserves a visit anytime of the day. Buddy and I are indebted to your hospitality. Great outdoor seating too. Excellent VFM. 05/09/2025: Came here with my daughter & grandchild.. was made very uncomfortable by the staff & rude to my daughter. A toasted sandwiche was out of the question as its breakfast time .. told her in a very rude manner ..staff has changed here i wont be back here . So dissapointing.. bla had no butter on either side 🙈 sausages not cooked n streaky bacon was burnt Wasnt given cutlery had to wait 10 mins to be served and another 20 t9 get food that was not worth 23+ euro
