The best restaurants in Waterford

08/12/2025: Myself and my partner booked in to stay for one night with the 1 Night Retreat package, including a 30 minute spa treatment, a 4 course meal in the restaurant, a complimentary cocktail and breakfast the next morning and all I can say is wow! Upon arrival the receptionists were so lovely checking us in, we stayed on the ground floor in a classic double room. This room was super spacious and included a bath (a fab treat for the post massage muscles!) We went straight down to the spa where we were greeted by two very friendly ladies, both myself and my partner were getting back massages included in our package and to say we were so relaxed afterwards would be the understatement of the century. The two girls were so professional and amazing at delivering top notch customer service as well as sensational massages! We went into the thermal suites afterwards sampling the jacuzzi and sauna- there was also an ice bucket shower, a steam room and a swimming pool which we didn’t try but all looked clean and kept in top condition. Following our spa trip we were booked in for our four course meal in the Roseville Rooms Restaurant. The servers and host on duty this night (Sunday 7th) were friendly, helpful and professional. We felt extremely cared for and the food was to die for. The staff also found out it was our anniversary that day and sent out an adorable gesture at dessert, it truly was amazing to see them go the extra mile without being told by either of us (we have a theory that the lovely ladies in the spa may have called up and let the restaurant staff know it was our anniversary or our super friendly server may have overheard us talking about it! Either is just above and beyond in customer service!) We had our complimentary cocktail in the new 1783 Cocktail bar afterwards, it was a little quiter in this bar compared to the restaurant but it was lovely nonetheless. The decor and drinks were fab in here. Following a phenomenal night of sleep (truly the beds and pillows were so clean and comfortable) we were served breakfast in the same Roseville Rooms restaurant as the night prior. This food was also lovely and we had breakfast with a view out into the back gardens. Overall, we loved our stay entirely and have decided we will be making it our annual anniversary trip going forward ☺️ Thank you to the amazing staff in the restaurant and spa especially for the night of the 7th!

06/12/2025: We booked last minute and got a great deal for a master suite. What a beautiful hotel and location! There is a lovely hike around the estate. Breakfast was to order and amazing! The staff were all so warm, friendly and helpful. If you book a massage I hope you're lucky enough to get David! Best vacation spa massage I've ever had. We hope to be back!

07/11/2025: We ate here yesterday. It was my first time eating here in over 18 months and I really enjoyed it. I had the Vegan Bap which was Brioche Bap which was slightly toasted with Halloumi Cheese, fried egg, avocado, lettuce, tomato and a nice relish on the side. I did apply all of the relish to my bun which was very tasty. This was so delicious - one of those times you make a noice when you eat because of the lovely taste. Afterwards we had a coffee and the Tunisian orange cake which was very light but very tasty indeed. Service was excellent and it was quiet enough to talk. I look forward to returning.

25/10/2025: Great pub. Nice warm atmosphere and creamy, delicious pints of Guinness. Sure what more do you want?

19/12/2025: Eur800.00 was deducted by Mara restaurant 4 days before the date of the reservation. No prior advice or agreement was given. I rang the restaurant owner thinking this was a mistake and the conversation began with an argument, no apology. I cancelled the reservation as a result and - in fairness - the money was returned immediately. I never received any apology for this transaction from Mara which leads me to believe they think this practice is ok. Avoid giving your card for reservation. Maybe the food is good but I'll never find out.

06/12/2025: Genuinely the best dining experience in Ireland- the best mix of top quality food and excellent service - Mara is an experience not to be missed.

26/10/2025: Great tea and pastries and the staff is nice, 100% recommend the place

04/10/2025: Decent food all round. The waiters are also very friendly and attentive. Food a little slow to come but all in all would recommend for a bite.

25/08/2025: Best student pub in Waterford. Weekly quizzes, karaoke and lots of events partnered with the SETUSU. Even if they didn’t, it’s still an amazing pub, great atmosphere, lovely and kind staff. Overall, a must go if you ever visit Waterford

29/09/2025: Kudos to the team at the Viking , I was let down by another hotel and they found me a room , The stay again was brief but superb, new fresh looking rooms and an amazing team

28/10/2025: Small but has everything! Few restaurant options in the food court, but delicious options at a good price. You don't pay to use the restroom. The mall is very centrally located. It has 2 or 3 supermarkets, bookstores, clothing and decoration stores, there's even a vinyl record store. Small shops and large department stores. I loved it.

28/10/2025: There's a cafe or two tescos and a deals there's also Domino's for more of a meal and a couple of tech shops there too.

03/08/2025: Supervalu Tramore, located at the top of the town. Very clean store with friendly staff. Lots of parking available.

14/12/2025: What fabulous food, prawn Dahl to start and featherblade of beef for main, absolutely Devine, couldn’t praise the staff enough, super atmosphere for a Christmas night out!

26/08/2025: Im a 'frequent flier' to Seanie, Mags & Karen & its my fav weely treat for bfast. You'd hav to travel a looong way to get such quality, atmosphere & service. I hope when the airport restarts early morning flights to the UK that HH will get to supply ALL travellers & staff with bfasts☘️😁

19/08/2025: Wonderful coffee and delicious grub! Such a cheerful, smiley team and a really cosy space with great vibes. Oran was a super server, and Judy & Rebecca were amazing too. Loved the whole experience!

26/07/2025: The best blaas in Waterford, fresh from the oven. They do a variety of breads, rolls, and some buns too. Excellent quality.

02/09/2025: Had out family holiday here this summer. Staff were so friendly, lovely hotel and the food was excellent. Dined out in 3 other places too and the food was spectacular. Dungarvan is a lovely town and plenty to keep kids entertained from playground, to beaches, pools and Greenway.

29/07/2025: Far too expensive for what you get. Rooms are more like 3* standard, Wi-Fi is very poor, breakfast is "just okay," and the parking lot is usually overcrowded. The sauna is very small, at no more than 3 square meters.

23/11/2025: We called into White Horses for lunch,only because we just happened to park outside it. Wow, what a beautiful experience it turned out to be. Everything about this restaurant shouts style. The decor is gorgeous,the staff were so welcoming and the food was fantastic. Well done everyone at White Horses, what you are doing,is rare and you are doing it with such finesse.
